AN discussion
Hi, after the discussion at AN here regarding your closing of AFD discussions, there is a clear consensus that it is better if you take a couple of months off from closing such discussions. Please consider this as an opportunity to become more experianced in the guidelines and policies related to such closures. Off2riorob (talk) 20:32, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- FYI, while I think you would probably do well to avoid non-admin closures for the time being, the above is not the official administrative closure of the topic ban. –xenotalk 20:45, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
stimulator 'the band'
Hi Erpert,
I noticed today that the band I just joined had their WP page deleted. I noticed that you commented about the deletion. I am writing to you to ask you to please restore the page. Stimulator has released three CDs distributed worldwide by Universal Records Europe. The band currently has the title track to the new Macy's Campaign. You can watch the commercial nationally right now on any major television network or listen to it on the radio. They have covered Olivia Newton john's Magic and the single was released through MGM Australia. The two founders of the band are Geoff Tyson (Joe Satriani's protege) and Susan Hyatt (ex Pillbox, Pandoras and MP3TV VJ). All of Stimulator's music is featured on Susan Hyatt's Rockstar Workout DVD which is charting in the top 20 on AMAZON best selling new Fitness DVD's. Stimulator opened the US Arena Tours for Duran Duran and the GO-GO's. Stimulator has had several songs licensed to major TV shows and a Disney film. We recently received endorsements by Sennheiser, Daisy Rock Guitars, Steve Clayton Picks, Luna and Gibson guitars. The band is working very hard(we are on tour right now) and would sincerely appreciate it if you would undelete it.
Respectfully yours, Michaelbrentstimulator (talk) 07:25, 18 September 2010 (UTC) Michael Brent http://www.stimulatortheband.com Bass Guitar

Redirect of IP talk page
Hi, why does User talk:24.209.120.222 direct here? It's a Time Warner Cable address. Do you have an arrangement with TWC assuring a static IP address?
In any event, this would be better addressed by simply either editing under your account, or, if you are unwilling to do that including a comment on User talk:24.209.120.222 indicating that you edit as User:Erpert as well, rather than appropriating the IP talk page. TJRC (talk) 18:43, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's the IP address I used before deciding to log back in. I will no longer edit without logging in first. Erpert (let's talk about it) 19:14, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- I suggest you put {{db-self}} to have it deleted. I would, but only the creator can do that. It'll save time deleting it via RFD or PROD. TJRC (talk) 20:17, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Altered speedy deletion rationale: Sonic Maker
Hello Erpert. I am just letting you know that I deleted Sonic Maker, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. G5 only applies when the creator of the page was already blocked or banned when they created the page (ie. they were socking), and I didn't see any evidence to support that. Nikkimaria (talk) 18:45, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Epsilon Project wiki page
Hello Erpert,
Actually the article about the hip hop workshop for kids is a weekly workshop the group puts on (Kingsley Mannasa also known as Kingsley Garrick) for kids throughout the community and have been flown out to other Police Activity Leagues nationally to perform as well as share their knowledge on how to successfully run workshops. Now in the documentary "Freestyle" the director Kevin reached out to J-pro & Kingsley from the group to be in the documentary. J-pro is known as one of Californias elite emcee battle champions. His scene along with Mos def is one of the most popular scenes in the documentary (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOoruUopgpM) As for the group They have worked with many notable Artist and Producers (which is not an easy task without a fanbase) and their notoriety is blossoming. After coming back off a 2 week tour in France, Germany and Switzerland performing in packed venues with DJ Qbert, Max Romeo, BBoy Ivan & Stones throw artist Wildchild their overseas popularity grew. (All this will be noted in their Career). After reaching #7 on the college radio hip hop charts nationally they caught the ear of DJ Vadim from Russia and he reached out to Epsilon to collaborate on a few songs. which they did. "America" which was released on Epsilons album and soon to be released on DJ Vadims album. They have recently been contacted to perform at the Hip Hop Kemp festival in the Czech Republic also negotiations are in progress for another European tour possibly in March. I along with many other people Internationally feel Epsilon Project is a notable hip hop group and deserve a place here . Hopefully this persuades you on their side of the fence.
Thank you for your time.
Proof of anything you need ( Weekly CMJ chart stats, Flyers and links from overseas shows & Conversations with Booking agencies) can all be presented by email or however you prefer.

Your comment on deletion discussion of Aastha Chaudhary
- First of all, visit the article again and then check for sources, you told all this without seeing the recent change i made to the article. Now, I have strong sources about the actress and she is a "hit". do check the article and dont say unnecessary words ... thanks.. UnbeatableIndia2020 (talk) 09:30, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I did check those sources; they're all passing mentions of her. And calm down, will you? Erpert (let's talk about it) 18:12, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
One of our editors able to research Indian cinema and actors has done some homework in a field in which he is far better able to research than am I, and he has most specificaly addressed our concerns toward sourcing. And while I initially agreed with your comment at the above AFD, his efforts allowed me to change my mind. Might you yourself re-visit the article and the discussion? Religious bias?
I wonder where you are coming from. Does posting an article about an assault against a mosque, and userboxes from other users opposing Israel make you believe my own POV is biased against Jews or christians who complain about mosques? Usually the POV I edit are those that favor the US and its allies. I'd like toget this resolved. In any case, NPOV means that all POV which are reliable and notable are allowed. WP allows editors of all sorts of radical viewpoints from pro-zionist to pro-Islamist as long as they stay within the rules. Bachcell (talk) 17:57, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
It's unusual to call for an incident on the basis of looking at what appears to just 2 articles and then jump to conclusions. It's far better etiquette to try to resolve disputes directly than to make an incident report that you suspect has a bias such as Democrat, Christian or socialist. Obviously WP has room for editors from all of these viewpoints. Bachcell (talk) 18:12, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Please see WP:AOBF Accusing others of bad faithMaking accusations of bad faith can be inflammatory and hence these accusations may not be helpful in a dispute. It can be seen as a personal attack if bad faith motives are alleged without clear evidence that the others' action is actually in bad faith and harassment if done repeatedly. The result is often accusations of bad faith on your part, which tends to create a nasty cycle. Bachcell (talk) 18:12, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

G4 speedies
- Hi. Just a heads-up re Special Const. Melanie Morris just now: WP:CSD#G4 only applies where the previous deletion was by a deletion discussion such as AfD - to save going through another discussion. If the previous deletion was by speedy and the same reason applies, just speedy again. In this case, where there was only a "hangon" tag, WP:CSD#A3, no content, would apply. There is good advice for speedy taggers at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:16, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Help with merging Logic pyramids with DIWK!
- Hi Erpert,
- I'm new to Wikipedia, but I think my article on Logic Pyramids and nonsense is valid, but maybe needs merging with DIKW hierarchy. Can you assist with this? Deletion seems a bit cruel! Bluecloud (talk) 18:06, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Not trying to be cruel, but the article you created might stand a better chance if it had some sources. And I don't know about merging it to DIKW hierachy because nowhere in that article does it use the term "logic pyramid". Erpert (let's talk about it) 19:58, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Black Diamond Coal Mining Railroad (California)
- Hello Erpert:
Saw your tag placed on the article "Black Diamond Coal Mining Railroad (California)." I agree that it could use some more in-line references, however I think the tag that I may have a conflict of interest is misplaced. The railroad I wrote about went out of business in 1885. How could I possibly have a conflict of interest for something that happened so long ago? Having an interest in the history of coal mining or coal mining railroads should not be considered a "conflict" of interest, or am I wrong?
I would appreciate your reasons for the "conflict of interest" tag.

- I suggest you read WP:BADNAME. Erpert (let's talk about it) 20:32, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- I read WP:BADNAME and I think a person has to read it in context. If my user name were "XYZ" and I wrote about "XYZ Company," and if "XYZ Company" was presently a viable business, then it would apply. My user name is the name of the public park where I take my family hiking. The railroad I wrote about happens to have run through that park, and they have similar names. Wikipedia had no article on that railroad, so I bought some books, read up on it, and wrote the article. Again, the company has been out of business for 125 years. I would have to be about 150 years old to have a conflict of interest. Do you suggest that I simply delete the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Black diamond coal (talk • contribs) 20:54, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

STNNNG discussion
I noticed that the band STNNNG's wiki was marked for deletion from Wikipedia. Here is my commentary about their importance, which was also posted in that discussion area: STNNNG is one of the most notable active bands from the Twin Cities. They have released three full-length records on the Modern Radio Record Label, which has also released over 50 recordings since 1999 from bands and artists such as Deerhoof, William Elliott Whitmore, Yellow Swans, Selby Tigers, and Motion City Soundtrack, among others. The band finished first in the annual Picked to Click music poll in the Minneapolis City Pages, and were voted the [[1] #1 live act] in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune in 2005. STNNNG has received much national and international acclaim, including many reviews of their albums throughout the United States and Europe source. Most recently, they were featured on "All Things Considered" on Minnesota Public Radio (source), which profiled the release of their latest album, "The Smoke of My Will". I believe these are ample reasons why their Wiki should exist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.97.186.100 (talk) 19:54, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

My comment was purely a suggestion, as articles being deleted with invalid reasons (cause of people like you not knowing how things - in this case, technology - work), hence making the deletion and reasoning behind it a harmful thing towards the encyclopedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.27.110.145 (talk) 22:52, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

The Screw Up on BMW is a prior editor. It Needs A Stub - Please Read
In going through two of your pages, you had two separate lists of jazz trumpet players, both of which were incomplete and WRONG by the fact that they were so. I compared both, cleaned up the lists, and put them out. BMW was on the list. The reference went to his band which is listed on Wikipedia by the way. I copied the reference FROM HIS WIKIPEDIA source, and was looking for a way to stub the article so someone else could add something more.
I did not add this name. You did. You just did a short-cut job of listing him originally to the band rather than his own bio.... Fix it, don't delete it. Thanks.

Ohyama "B.M.W" Wataru is a musician that was already listed in a directory of jazz trumpet players on Wikipedia. His name linked to a reference in his band, not to his own bio page. I established the bio page for him, and copied the pertinent information over from his band. You need to make it into a stub page that someone can add to. I have no more data than that.

Dear Erpert,
My topic monosuit has went under deletion. actually, i was tried to buy a garment covering head to toe, but i couldn't get a right name for that. after 10-12 days i found a name monosuit. that is why i have started a topic in wiki. also, please see the reference topic Infant bodysuit in wiki, they are really promoting their company name using wiki. but nobody objected it. the topic monosuit is a valuable guideline for people and this is not related to any particular brand, as this is a common name. - Thanks for sticking your head above the pulpit and making your feelings known. But just don't get involved. I'm staying clear. You can tell him the same thing 100 times and he won't get it. For example, he posed a question to me and said, repeatedly, that I refused to answer it. Even though I made my reasoning clear from day one, and in subsequent posts. You'll just go round in circles. What I should have done last night was to deny recognition, but I let him upset me. It's not worth it. I've started to see the funny side. I was looking at the list of old admins that were de-sysoped in the past. I was reading their talk pages and looking at their interactions with other editors. He's started to show some of the classic symptoms. Just leave him to it. We say in England, If you give someone enough rope then they'll hang themselves, meaning that if you give someone that you suspect of bad behavior the freedom to behave badly, eventually they'll be caught and punished. Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

Magherintemple - Machaire an Teampaill
Hi, I am the writer of the page that is getting all this attention... I have not contributed to this site before. The article is and abbreviated version of a paper I completed as part of my MA in history. It is pasted. It is accurate and it is not anyones work other than my own... There are no other articles on this area I believe I am the only one to do so. I believe as such it should be allowed to stay on Wikipedia. db-hoax
Hoax implies ill intent. There was no evidence of that at FACTSDACTIM ROSS' PROM; it was a legitimate acronym that someone made up. The book is real. What we need is a {{db-snow}}. :) ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 05:54, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion contested: The Late Night Fix with Yassir Lester (TV show)
- Hello Erpert, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of The Late Night Fix with Yassir Lester (TV show), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 20:48, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- But did you see the name of the creator? Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 07:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just because it was a conflict of interest doesn't mean that it was promotional. Although those two terms are usually associated with each other, a COI piece is not always going to be promotional, like the one you speedied, which seemed relatively neutral. Semi-pro football discussions need feedback
Hello! You have participated in WP:AFD disucssions involving semi-pro football teams in the past. The following two AFD discussions could use additional weigh-in as they appear to be stuck in "relisting" mode:
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Seaboard Football League
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Northeastern Football Alliance
I am placing this notice on talk pages of users who have shown interest in the past, regardless of how they !voted in the discussion. If you do participate, please mention that you were asked to participate in the discussion.--Paul McDonald (talk) 22:00, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Per discussions at the AfD and talk page, I really struggle to see how this is a hoax. I've found multiple reliable sources asserting his notability (lots and lots of notability in fact) and cross referencing with each other. Whereas the only thing suggesting a hoax is a vague edit summary from the article author, who hasn't expanded upon this or taken part in the AfD. While it's hard to prove a negative, I think the weight of evidence is clearly against this being a hoax, to the point where I'm concerned that continuing to suggest he has been involved in some sort of massive conspiricy over many years to fool multiple international organisations is in danger of being a BLP issue itself. Incidentaly, I'm not in any way connected with any of this and had never heard of him before. I just stumbled over the AfD while browsing the AfD log. --ThePaintedOne (talk) 15:21, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Atari Pac-Man
Hi, I noticed your edit to Pac-Man (Atari 2600). The section you tagged with {{wikify}}
currently omits wikilinks because a lot of terms are already linked in the lead. Everything else seemed common enough to me that it didn't warrant linking. Are there any specific terms that you think should be linked? (Guyinblack25 talk 15:08, 23 March 2011 (UTC))
Chili Dogs, Coney Dogs
- A chili dog is not the same as a Coney Island dog...not all chili dogs are Coney Island dogs. There has been a consensus as such on the CIHD talk page. In that spirit, I have removed the merge proposal. If you had proposed it because of lack of references, references have been added to chili dog. Also, you had forgotten to mention that you had proposed a merger in your edit summary. Have a nice day! Purplebackpack89 15:38, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- I see your point. To be fair, though, that discussion is very outdated. It's mainly unsourced personal opinion. Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 18:01, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages. I noticed that you are not marking some of the pages you've reviewed as patrolled. Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the new pages patrol project. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) (Shout!) 03:31, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
I have noticed you have tagged articles for Speedy Deletion but they were not marked as patrolled. Please double check to make sure you have marked a new page as patrolled once you have tagged it. Happy editing, Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) (Shout!) 03:33, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- But isn't tagging the article proof that it was patrolled? Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 03:35, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- You should still mark articles as patrolled that you tag for Speedy Deletion so you don't draw other NPP's to a patrolled page. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) (Shout!) 05:25, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- You know what, though? The "mark this page as patrolled" link hasn't shown up on the new pages in months. Is there a different way to mark such pages? Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 19:49, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Hedda Sterne
- Why did you roll back my change and accuse me of vandalism? I am her neighbor. She passed away this afternoon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajschorr (talk • contribs) 02:31, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- I apologize if your edit was in good faith, but are you sure she died? I searched Google and came back with nothing. In fact, her name doesn't come back at all in Google News. Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 04:22, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- She died yesterday afternoon. She was very private, and most of her friends are very old. I'm not sure when it will hit the media. This was my first wikipedia edit, so I am afraid to revert your edit. But it is 100% true that she is dead. Ajschorr (talk) 13:31, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
List of Shake It Up episodes
I templated the main IP who seems to be reverting your edits, letting him know that he needs to provide edit summaries for reverts like that, participate in the Talk page discussion to get consensus for his reverts, and directed him to WP:Indiscriminate. I think it is safe for you to go back and make your changes; I doubt the IP knows to report you for 3RR, and at any rate, if anyone did call you on it, I'd back you up for just trying to maintain edits that were reverted without even an attempt at consensus.
