Nomination of BMB LU for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article BMB LU, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BMB LU until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Erpert (let's talk about it) 07:11, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Skitole7. You have new messages at Erpert's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Speedy deletion nomination of BMB LU

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BMB LU requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 07:30, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BMB LU

[edit]

Go read WP:N, WP:NOT, WP:GNG, WP:ORG, and just about every other policy on here, and if you can explain why your new college club is notable in the Wikipedia sense of the word, you can rewrite the article and resubmit it. WP is not free advertising space; use your student union or Facebook. MSJapan (talk) 07:36, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

but Obama approves! what more could you ask for? and given his history of having his own way despite what popular opinion or common sense would dictate, i think he can override wikipedia policy. Skitole7 (talk) 07:40, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with BMB LU. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb (talk) 07:43, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with BMB LU. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. ttonyb (talk) 07:44, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
