Speedy deletion nomination of Fayoma

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fayoma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. January 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Fayoma, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Zachlipton (talk) 12:03, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you have posted comments to the page Fayoma in a language other than English. When on the English-language Wikipedia, please always use English, no matter to whom you address your comments. This is so that comments may be comprehensible to the community at large. If the use of another language is unavoidable, please provide a translation of the comments. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. Zachlipton (talk) 12:04, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Fayoma. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:08, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mhiji 14:48, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nous vous prions de ne pas ajouter de texte en français à Wikipédia anglophone. Par contre, vos contributions sont bienvenues sur Wikipédia francophone.

Please do not contribute text in French to English Wikipedia. Your contributions are more than welcome at French Wikipedia.

JohnCD (talk) 16:15, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to post an article about "Fayoma", it needs (a) to be in English (or you could post it on the French Wikipedia at http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/, (b) to be in your own words, not copied from another website, (c) to explain why she is notable to the standard explained at WP:MUSICBIO. Read WP:Your first article for more advice. JohnCD (talk) 16:23, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page FAYOMA has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmkMocRLYis. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Speedy deletion nomination of FAYOMA

[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as FAYOMA, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Sur Wikipedia, tout doit être vérifiable. Votre article fait une affirmation de grand succès sur Youtube, mais:
JohnCD (talk) 21:06, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article FAYOMA has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

claims that he "holds the record on Youtube" and that his song is "one of the most listened to songs online" are not confirmed by searches - see talk page.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JohnCD (talk) 13:38, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop writing fantasy

[edit]

I have deleted your article FAYOMA again as a blatant hoax - what it says is not true. Wikipedia requires that what is added can be verified from reliable sources. What you wrote first claimed that Fayoma "holds the record on Youtube" and that his song Onlala "became one of the most listened to songs online", but the searches above show only a few hundred views; then you re-wrote it with a different story which you copied from other articles:

Fayoma grew up in part of a family from a long line of musicians with a pianist-father, trumpeter stepfather, and vocalist mother. She has been playing piano and composing since he was a small child and graduated from the Conservatorium van Paris

copied from Eva Simons

and

On October 1, 2011, Fayoma will embark on her fifth concert tour, the Fayoma Experience Tour which is in support of her fifth album, ONLALA. The Tour Experience, which was announced on December 7, 2010, will start in paris before visiting mainland Europe then ending with the final date in on November 25, 2011

Please stop wasting our time. If you continue to post articles which are only fantasy, you may be blocked from editing.

Arrêtez, s'il vous plaît. Si vous continuez à écrire des articles qui ne sont que fantaisie, vous pouvez être bloqué.

This is your last warning; the next time you create an inappropriate page, as you did at FAYOMA, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. JohnCD (talk) 16:12, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fayoma/ayo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for disruptive editing - repeated creation of articles with false information, despite explanations and warnings. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
