Speedy deletion nomination of Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 13:04, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Danielehisaiguokhian. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Danielehisaiguokhian. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Danielehisaiguokhian|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 12:14, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for drawing my attention to your thoughts. However, I want to let the community know that I'm not being paid nor expecting any payment from anybody, company, group or institution to edit on Wikipedia, as before I started editing on the platform, I read the terms and conditions of the platform, and if by any means I was paid or expecting any payments, I would have disclosed it to the community before any edit.
- I am just a lover of knowledge who goes into deep research to make sure I contribute positively to the world as a young person. I am not being compensated nor expecting to be compensated by any person, group, politician, community or any entity. Please, you're mistaken, and I hope you understand this.
- Every edit or article I create, is as a result of using this platform to contribute positively to the world, as it is noted that Wikipedia remains the most trusted platform to get reliable information, and I know what that means. No one pays me to do what I've been doing. It's just my own way of enriching the platform with reliable information.
- Thank you very much for your understanding. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 12:38, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- I’d assume good faith here. But Wikipedia is not a reliable source, really. Happy editing. Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 13:02, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your understanding.
- What I'm doing is, I've had these researches for long to ensure they're verified before putting them out here. Since I was able to verify them so that I don't violate Wikipedia's policies, I decided to start putting them here. Not that I know anyone offering to pay me for it. I just love to contribute in my own way to the world. That's why I'm doing it. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 13:18, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

Ogugu Ntu-egbenese moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Ogugu Ntu-egbenese. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it has too many problems of language or grammar and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

AfC notification: Draft:Ogugu Ntu-egbenese has a new comment
[edit]Hello
[edit]Hi Daniel. I saw your post at the Teahouse. Much of the advice given is accurate and I recommend starting with very small edits. If you really want to do this Guinness thing you can probably accomplish it by simply making small edits to fix spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc. I think your draft Draft:Ogugu Ntu-egbenese is promising if it is a real place (I admit to having no knowledge of it myself). If you work slowly and steadily I'm sure you will do just fine. Iggy pop goes the weasel (talk) 22:19, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the advice. It's well received. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 22:27, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. I've done a little work on this but I have a question. Sources and the article currently refer to Ogugu Ntu-egbenese as "Ancient Kingdom". Is it truly ancient in the sense it has existed for a very long time or is this simply some kind of official name? The article reviewers are asking us to explain the point and I suspect related sources would be helpful. Iggy pop goes the weasel (talk) 15:53, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, it has existed for a very long time without having much people talk about it. I'll send in other sources, but the problem is, Wikipedia may say they're not independent, meanwhile they are. I don't have any relationship with these sources. I only wrote about it because I feel it is worth it. And I used some sources to backup my reasons for writing them. However, I'll provide more sources for it too. Thank you very much. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 16:19, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- By "independent" people mean the sources are independent of the article subject. In other words, they cannot be press releases or similar kind of promotional publication. Some kind of textbook history would be interesting but I don't know if that is available. It would be helpful to know when the Kingdom was established. If you like, you can post your sources here and I'll compare them to the WP:RS policy and we'll determine if they are acceptable. Ok? Iggy pop goes the weasel (talk) 20:24, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Here are some of sources, but I don't know if they'd be acceptable:
- https://books.google.com.ng/books/about/The_History_of_Ntuegbe_Nese.html?id=3Kq0AAAAIAAJ&redir_esc=y Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 13:57, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- These seem to be the same publication, but it appears to me to be good as an offline (paper) reference. Please be sure to include the relevant page number when citing the book. Iggy pop goes the weasel (talk) 15:27, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

Editing and proofreading
[edit]Hi Daniel, I also came here from the Teahouse. Thank you for wanting to contribute to Wikipedia, but to be successful at editing and proofreading here, you must understand that the Wikipedia community has spent two decades developing (and continuing to develop) a Manual of Style to guide us in writing and editing. These guidelines help us write Wikipedia articles in an encyclopaedic tone that accommodates readers familiar with any of the world's different varieties of English.
In your Teahouse thread, other editors identified a few of your edits from this year that did not improve the articles you were editing. Do you think you can work out the problems with these edits?
- Chibuike Emmanuel Onyekachi
- African art
- Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington
- Interprocedural optimization
If you cannot, I would strongly advise you to read (or reread) the main Manual of Style page before doing any more copy-editing. I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh but we are all just trying to make Wikipedia better. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · contribs · email · global) 01:11, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

Sorry, Danielehisaiguokhian, but I've mentioned you and this Teahouse post in a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you and your fellow edit-a-thoners may have been involved. - Hi @Danielehisaiguokhian, please come read this discussion: WP:ANI#New seemingly-related group of good-faith but deleterious West African copyeditors. I've added you to the list there as you appear to be part of this group. Your edits have not been as disruptive as far as I can tell, so I don't think you're in imminent danger of being blocked from editing, but please be careful. There are many ways to contribute to wikipedia that aren't copyediting. -- asilvering (talk) 02:25, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Nedu Wazobia. Thank you. Remsense ‥ 论 17:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. However, I added what I added because of the meaning the initial words meant or may mean to people. Still, thank you very much. Learning never stops. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 18:00, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Another thing I'd like to add is, why is it that most editors are quickly criticized when they slightly go against Wikipedia's policies but hardly praised when they're on track? Is the platform trying to discourage editors from the platform? I think if editors are praised for little contribution, they'd be encouraged to do more rather than always trying to find faults in editors. Many editors came here with good intentions and as such, need more encouragement from someone like you rather than constant criticisms for doing wrong. This is my observation anyway. Thank you, and I hope this is received in good-faith just the way it ought to be, and nothing else. Danielehisaiguokhian (talk) 18:10, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
