Question from Based Historian (14:13, 12 September 2022)
Hello!
would I get paid to work in Wikipedia´s history department? --Based Historian (talk) 14:13, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Based Historian Good day. Thank you for the message. Editors of Wikipedia are mainly volunteers where they spend their free time to contribute to the project. No fees are paid to any of the editors - see Wikipedia:Wikipedia is a volunteer service. You can contribute as much as you want and you would take a break for years and come back to edit again as long as your edits are as per Wikipedia guidelines. Editors edit/contribute for many reasons and find certain areas of interest to contribute. All info added/changed needs to be supported by indepenent, reliable source such as from the newspaper and books. Use the horizontal format of Template:Cite web if the source/inline citation is from the web and use WP:Cite book if the source is from the book. Your edit on Aswaran was removed as the info was not supported by any source. You are welcome to add them back if you could provide the source to support the content claimed. Pls read the guidlines/links on the welcome message which I sent you on your talk page so you may familiar with some of the Wikipedia guideliens. Let me know if anything else I could help. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 03:28, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Question from AmericanPoliticsJunkie (20:47, 14 September 2022)
Hello! I want to get to work making pages for politicians who don't have wikipedia pages. It bothers me that when people look in earnest for a politician, sometimes all they can find is one-sided information. As such, I was recently searching for a politician named Keith Pekau, who is a mayor and candidate for congress. I noticed that his page is set as a "redirect" and doesn't have a dedicated page. Is there any way I can get to work on creating a page? --AmericanPoliticsJunkie (talk) 20:47, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- AmericanPoliticsJunkie Good day. I believe the subject Keith Pekau (Republican Party), who is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 6th Congressional District. As per WP:NPOL, the subject would only notable to have an article in Wikipedia when he has won the election in November 2022 and not before unless the subject has significant coverage by independent, reliable sources outsides his political campaign. Here is the redirect page; however, since there is a redirect page and if you want to start drafting an article about him, then you can use you WP:Sandbox or create a "draft" page first. Pls read WP:Your first article and follow the instructions. I suggest you to complete WP:TWA program first, so you may familiar with some basic Wikipedia guidelines. Let me know if anything else I can help. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 02:12, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Dana White’s Contender Series Season 2
Since we’re policing, then you need to take a look at week 1 where it mentions Kevin Holland getting signed despite no contract. Also, look at week 3 where the article talks about Josh Parisian getting signed despite no contract. I literally used the same wording for my edit. I feel your edit was biased and not well researched. Joshhahn199311 (talk) 05:50, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Joshhahn199311 Good day and thank you for your message. When the fighters are signed on DWCS then the info will appear on the DWSC the week of the particular series. The info also will appear on [[List of current UFC fighters[edit source]]] on "Recent signings" section. If any of the fighters regardless they have been signed after the DWCS or TUF series or normal signing contract, then the info only will be appeared [[List of current UFC fighters[edit source]]] on "Recent signings". As for the fighters you have mentioned above, they have been removed. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk

Ip disrupting Bisping
Hi Cass. As you're very strong in the anti vandalism editor, please could you advise and/or help with the Bisping page? The IP (which changes frequently) is constantly changing the nationality to 'British', thinking that 'English' refers to his 'ethnicity'. I have tried to explain that we don't write about ethnicity and that English is a nationality. The IP won't answer or discuss. I think we either need to protect the page or report them for abusing multiple accounts and warring. NEDOCHAN (talk) 10:43, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA
Hi,
I have a draft article on a new gym. Draft:Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA
Can you please review and see if it can be moved to mainspace?
Thx
-Imcdc (talk) 18:29, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Imcdc Was away for the last several days. Will look into the draft as stated above then I will ping you again. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 05:57, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
- Imcdc Sources are reliable but (1) most of the not independent as they are interviews articles and (2) not significant coverage for Bangtao mma center but about the fighters. For such I would considered the article at the current stage is not notable under GNG or NORG notability guidelines. We need at least 3 more IRS (independent, reliable sources) that the sources talk about the subject (Bangtao) in depth and in length to meet the notability guidelines. Keep the article in draft and look for more IRS in the future. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 02:22, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
