PRODs

[edit]

Hello, Imcdc,

I have a request to make. On December 30th, we have 128 PROD'd articles and 26 PROD'd files. That's a lot of PROD'd pages to review, especially when they are being tagged about 1/minute. Although you didn't tag them all, you are responsible for a great deal of them. Do you think you could limit yourself to maybe 12 PROD'd pages a day? 128 is just an overwhelming number. There were just about 50 over the past 3 hours. Thank you for help but please, pace yourself. Liz Read! Talk! 02:50, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Liz. Yeah sure. I normally don't really PROD articles most of the time so I can do that. On Dec 23, I had some free time and I saw the categories for business incubators. Wanted to do a one-off cleanup so I basically spent the day trying to do all the PRODs in one go. I do understand though that even in real life we don't try to cram all the tasks in one day and we aim to space them out better. This should be a one-off thing hopefully so going forward, my PRODS will be spaced out more.
Thank you Liz and @Explicit for your hard work in helping in this clean up. Hopefully this will be over soon. Imcdc Contact 03:06, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

G11s

[edit]

Hello Imcdc -- I've just declined several of these requests. Please be more selective in future; G11 is only for screamingly promotional "buy our widgets here"-type writing, and then only if there is no better version in the history (often the promotional text has been added recently). For well-established articles, even if poorly sourced, the best route is usually WP:Articles for deletion, so that other editors can try to clean the article up and find sources. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 05:47, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I added one news source. I don't think it adds up to significant coverage, but it is what it is. Bearian (talk) 02:10, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This one looks big enough to get the attention of the US Treasury Department. The others are too small for them to be bothered - small-time crooks with Ponzi schemes. Legitimate Islamic banking loses money sometimes; cons always make money. Bearian (talk) 02:29, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I saw some more articles on Google News about this company. I'm not sure if they are reliable. Can you please check them out? Bearian (talk) 21:00, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.
I'm not sure if you are getting the same results as me. But from what I see, there are a few articles but they seem to be routine news. For example CelsiusPro partners with XXX to launch this platform, CelsiusPro has hired XXX and in a few cases CelsiusPro has acquired XXX. Judging from what I see based on short content and language, these are just restating routine press releases and are not significant coverage. I do see more coverage on this source but its basically interviewing the founder and CEO of the firm so there's no independence there and once you take out his comments, the remaining coverage doesn't seem very in-depth.
Let me know if you have any further comments.- Imcdc Contact 02:59, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind if I redirect this to Coupa, which has bought it out? Bearian (talk) 04:17, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am ok with this. I think that is better. Imcdc Contact 04:22, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

I removed the prod from the Schoel Engineering page (formerly listed as "Walter Schoel Engineering Co")

I've begun expanding the article and will continue to do so over the upcoming days. QuiteBearish (talk) 04:36, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
