Your recent edits
[edit]It seems that many of your recent edits to Marquette, Michigan, Presbyterian Church in America, and Wisconsin are either adding a new line or reverting those edits. For example, all of the most recent 50 edits to Presbyterian Church in America are your edits, and all but six of them are just are just adding or removing a single character, which was a new line character in every edit I checked. It could well be something you are doing accidentally, but it is very unhelpful and clutters up the edit history of the article. Perhaps using the 'Show Preview' feature could help you avoid making unnecessary edits and then immediately reverting them. If you have any questions, or if there is any way I can be of assistance, you can reply here on your talk page or on my own talk page, and I will get back to you. YBG (talk) 19:40, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- I've notice that the insertion and deletion of new lines is much less frequent now than it was when I posted the above, but they are still occurring somewhat frequently. I'm wondering if you can explain them. I presume they are unintentional, but I'm wondering if you know what is causing them. YBG (talk) 20:54, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
PC(USA) Adherents figure (December 18, 2014)
[edit]Hey. I noticed you reverted my removal of the 3 million adherents figure. This number keeps being added, but I have never seen a source for it. Even doing a fast search on the internet did not bring up any online sources. I removed it again, but I don't want to start an edit war. I would just like a reliable source for this figure, and, if possible, an explanation in the Demographics section of what the difference between an active member and an adherent is since I think that would be relevant information. Thank you. Ltwin (talk) 21:38, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
First Warning
[edit]Hello, as was stated in the edit summary, you can not source information to a blog. This is against the WP:BLOGS policy. The source you continue to try to add is a blog, ie: "blogs.thearda.com". If you continue to edit war, you can be blocked. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 08:01, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Updating ECO church number and "accessdate"
[edit]Thanks for your good faith edits to the church numbers on the ECO (denomination) page. However, you have not been updating the "accessdate" parameter. What I mean is this: every time you change the number of churches, you need to also include the date you accessed the website. Just replace the date after "accessdate =" with the most recent date you accessed the ECO website. That's it. If you fail to observe this convention, editors like YBG and me will revert your edits. We appreciate your attempts to keep Wikipedia's information up to date, and merely want to inform you about how such edits can be done in a way that complies with Wikipedia's rules and gives the most accurate information possible. Thank you for your time. Peace, --Wikibojopayne (talk) 19:23, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- I reverted your edit that added two unnecessary additional references. The first was to a facebook page, which is considered much less reliable than the official denominational web page. The second added a redundant reference, it pointed to the URL as the reference that was already included. You don't need to add new references, just simply change the date after the accessdate= in the reference that is already there.
- We truly do want to encourage you to continue to add up-to-date content to WP, but it is a bit frustrating when repeated requests are ignored. I added the date once or twice for you, but of course, I could not do that without actually verifying the reference myself. I presume this is what Wikibojopayne did when he most recently added the date for you. This is a lot of busy work for us when you could just add it yourself.
- We would like to help you become a better editor here at WP, but it is hard to know how to help. Perhaps you could reply to our messages so that we could better understand what is going on. I promise to be friendly and not bite. YBG (talk) 21:51, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Perimeter Church (Johns Creek, Georgia) (February 7)
[edit]- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to User:CalvinBeza/Perimeter Church (Johns Creek, Georgia) and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk or on the reviewer's talk page.
- You can also get real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- Apparently, an article already was created in February 2014 at Perimeter Church (Duluth, Georgia), and shortly thereafter moved to Perimeter Church leaving a redirect behind. I went ahead and added another redirect from Perimeter Church (Johns Creek, Georgia). It appears that Duluth, Georgia and Johns Creek, Georgia are nearby suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. None of this says anything about the notability of the church. YBG (talk) 22:30, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- Another suggestion -- whatever new information you have on this church, add it to the existing article, Perimeter Church. YBG (talk) 04:13, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of First Presbyterian Church (Biloxi, Mississippi)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on First Presbyterian Church (Biloxi, Mississippi) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. JbhTalk 11:14, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of First Presbyterian Church (Gulfport, Mississippi)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on First Presbyterian Church (Gulfport, Mississippi), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of fpcgulfport.org/history#sthash.YkMmR527.dpuf. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
Uploading Copyrighted Photos
[edit]I appreciate your zeal in helping improve pages relating to Presbyterianism but it's not helpful to upload photos that are under copyright and are then subject to speedy deletion as with the photos for Covenant Presbyterian, Chicago, Park Cities Pres., and First Pres., Augusta. Photos need to be in the public domain and uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. I'm currently working with individual congregations and the PCA Historical Society to obtain such photos. Also, when adding references please provide more than just the URL. There is a dropdown menu when in the editor that provides a good template where a title for the page and website can be added, hiding the url.Djkeddie (talk) 21:46, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Being a good editor
[edit]I see you have a long history of copyright violations. You seem to take photos and text from copyrighted sites and add them to Wikipedia.
Here is one more example from First Presbyterian Church (Augusta, Georgia):
Because you work mainly on church articles, I will try to appeal to you from a religous perspective: Copyright violations are a form of stealing. (The authors of the text and photographers who took the pictures would agree.) I am no religious expert, but I think stealing is a sin. I am sure you do not want to sin, right?
Helping Wikipedia is noble, wonderful, charitable, even devine. But you must write in your own words based on the sources and upload only photos you own.
So, you will not take photos and text from copyrighted sites again, right? It is my duty to say that if you do any of this again, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:22, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
