The article Mad TV you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Mad TV for comments about the article, and Talk:Mad TV/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Combining sections on My Love Mine All Mine
Hello. I know you're the one who expanded the article, but I'm not seeing any real benefit to your having combined the sections on My Love Mine All Mine. (I'm fine with background and composition/recording being all one.) I understand there is a general belief among some editors because one of our guidelines or another that short sections should be combined, but sometimes things like a music video and cover versions are too disparate to combine. While in some senses commercial performance is "reception" by the public, I've always been reluctant to combine it with critical reception and/or conflate the two as they can be very different with no commonality sometimes. As I said in my edit summary, I don't think five fairly decent-sized paragraphs of prose before the tabular data at the end of the article is too much or an obstacle that we need to combine them. Ss112 14:06, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Ss112: I actually agree about the sections being too disparate to combine. I mostly combined them because of MOS:OVERSECTION, particularly since the sections about the music video and the live performances were both shorter paragraphs. I'm fine with leaving them as is but it would be nice to see both of those expanded, so I might work on that at some point. Thanks for letting me know! benǝʇᴉɯ 14:19, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for all you do!!
Several times this year I have seen an interesting person in the news, thought to myself "I should write an article about this," and then realized that you've already done it. :-) Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 20:25, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- Also, I admire you for bringing suitcase to GA. Lol I've always wanted to write a GA about a commonplace household item, mostly so I can point at a stapler (or toaster, or lamp, or whatever) and say "I wrote the Wikipedia article on those." Have you ever had the opportunity to show off your suitcase knowledge?! Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 20:32, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oh my god!! 😭 This is so sweet. If you ever want to beat me to making an article about someone or something, let me know and I'll back off. 🫡 Also, I have tried to get people as invested in suitcases as I became while working on that article, but it unfortunately tends to fall on deaf ears. Most people would rather remain blissfully ignorant as to why they no longer have to rely on porters to carry their luggage, I guess. I did bring it up to my parents and they were pretty fascinated, since they grew up during the time when suitcases suddenly transitioned from not having wheels to having them and hadn't given it much thought until I mentioned it. It's funny, though—I had the same exact thought process with working on that article as you, and it's crazy just how much history there is behind common appliances and items like that. benǝʇᴉɯ 04:57, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Facts (Tom MacDonald and Ben Shapiro song)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Link pages in userspace
Could you please explain what on Earth, exactly, these collections of links (and nothing else) in your userspace are supposed to be doing there? It looks a great deal like spamming, but I'd be open to hearing some other explanation for them. Seraphimblade Talk to me 06:34, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- As I'd said at WP:AIV, maybe their account was hacked? Mvcg66b3r (talk) 06:37, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Seraphimblade:, @Mvcg66b3r: Most likely they are intended as userspace drafts for notable topics. I don't think they should have been nominated for deletion. I don't think they should have been deleted. They ought to be restored. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 16:40, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Seraphimblade: If you look at any of the other userspace articles that I've created that were initially just links (Billy Santoro, Tessica Brown, Helix Studios) I eventually ended up turning them all into full drafts (Billy Santoro, Tessica Brown, Helix Studios) before blanking them. There are plenty of examples other than the ones I included in parentheses if you need them. I assumed it was clear that these were my userspace drafts based on the fact that they appear underneath "Drafts" on my userpage. I can promise you it's not spamming. I'd like for them to be restored, if only so that I can retrieve the links. benǝʇᴉɯ 17:40, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ah! Fair enough then, but it sure looked off. That's reasonable enough; I'll undelete them for you. You might consider putting a userspace draft template on them for clarity . Seraphimblade Talk to me 18:55, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Seraphimblade: I'll definitely do that, thanks! Sorry for the confusion. benǝʇᴉɯ 19:01, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
Advice
Please don't create drafts that consist entirely of external links. These may be considered advertising and are likely to be deleted. Deb (talk) 12:26, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Deb: I'm not sure how these drafts could be misconstrued as advertising. As someone else noted in WP:AIV, I've been editing since 2014 and have created and edited plenty of legitimate articles, and all of the drafts that I've created in my userspace that have initially consisted entirely of links have been turned into fuller drafts and then made into actual articles, as I stated above. Is there a particular policy against creating drafts in userspace consisting entirely of links? benǝʇᴉɯ 17:49, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not that I know of, but it's not good practice to include external links in the text of an article. See Wikipedia:External links, second sentence. It's not about how long you've been here. However, I'm not sure why you would want to set up several drafts consisting entirely of links without actually starting the article. Unless you're planning to create all of them at once, one or two at a time would surely be adequate. Is there a good reason for so many links to sit in draft space? You're dulling the review and perhaps, tomorrow, I am failing those as "inactive". Regards. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 17:14, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Dude, thank you for writing that article! I was gathering sources on my user page to prepare one. What you wrote is excellent. ꧁Zanahary꧂ 16:50, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Zanahary: OMG, this is so kind!! I'm glad someone else was trying to make her a page, I've been wanting to make her article forever but there wasn't enough mainstream coverage of her until super recently.
- Also, thanks for removing Christian pop from the sentence about "Vacation Bible School". I left it since that's what they call it in the article and I figure it's technically a Christian pop song (it's about Christianity and it's a pop song) but I would also bargain that any self-respecting Hillsong United listener would probably not have a song with the lyrics "Well, it's fine, because I'm a whore/And I sleep with guys just for fun and drugs" up next in their playlist. You never know, though! benǝʇᴉɯ 18:18, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Benmite, a new user, among some attempts to justify including OR, raised on my talk page that the 2018 doxxing story is misrepresented in the source that the article cites. Would you mind taking a look and evaluating the reliability of that piece? ꧁Zanahary꧂ 20:27, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
