- Deletion of "Mark Bacino" Page Inquiry
Hello Athaenara,
I hope this message finds you well.
I'm writing to respectfully inquire about your recent deletion (Dec. 2020) of my article, "Mark Bacino." Your note of deletion cites that the article was in violation due to it being promotional in nature. I wish to respectfully dispute the deletion of the article as I view the page as a properly referenced/sourced, chronological history of my (hopefully ;) notable work as an artist (commercially released singer-songwriter, producer, published journalist) throughout the years. I believe my piece is of value as it provides detailed background information and context to the work I've created for the benefit of those who may be interested in said work. I also believe my article is written no differently in style or tone than numerous similar pieces devoted to many of my fellow, more well-known artists-musicians.
Please see the following for higher profile examples of similar articles that could also be misconstrued, if one desired, not as documenting the history of a commercial artist's body of work (as I see them), but also as "promotional" in nature -
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jeff_Tweedy
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Billy_Bragg
I'm hoping that we might be able to discuss the matter further, with you offering some specific detail concerning the article's faults, as you see them, for revision purposes. I'm also hoping that you might kindly review the article once again and consider reinstating the piece after comparing it to other similar articles and the common, stylistic standards which those illustrate and set.
On a personal note, I'm disheartened to see the article removed as I've cultivated the piece over the years and was hoping for it to be kept in place, not as a promotional vehicle by any means, but as an ongoing and future resource/historical document.
Thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

- @QueensEnglish: You have been the primary contributor to a page about yourself since July 2006, apparently believing that it is a legitimate use of Wikipedia. It isn't. – Athaenara ✉ 10:40, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your uncivil and snarky response to my polite inquiry. By the nature of your comment you seem to thoroughly enjoy the exercise of tearing people down rather then helping them understand the rules of this environment. If I would have known that the act of updating an article written about me was "illegal" in the Wikipedia world, I would have gladly offered my identity as a page editor (if that's what you're supposed to do). Now, as a result of my mistake, I'm subject to snide, unhelpful comments and the deletion of the article without the chance to correct my missteps. Well done, Athaenara! Hi.. It is regarding the article you deleted by speedy deletion process. However, I can assure that the actress is notable in my country and South Asia, specially in Malayalam and Sinhala film industry. Already she has done one film and in the future there are two films contracted. Also, she received international recognition through several modeling contests. She is currently making few reliable newspaper articles as well. Also, they tagged the deletion by stating that, it is the same text with previously deleted article. But that is not true. I really made in my own. As I have made several Sri Lankan celebrity articles, this is also an important and notable article. so please consider about the deletion and I hope that you may able to restore that deleted page. Thank You.... Gihan Jayaweera (talk) 22:26, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Gihan Jayaweera: I'm not an expert on models and starlets (and I have never heard of a "Mrs. Nobel Queen" prize) but all of the pages so far written on Wikipedia about this one have been inflated puffery, as if written by a publicist or talent agent. – Athaenara ✉ 18:22, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Athaenara: So, what is your final decision?. Which part do you think as puffery?? Is it regarding her modeling career?? I have supplied verified references as well. Can you restore the page and then I can remove the puffery and make it encyclopedic. Because I think according to your point, you deleted it due to its advertisement-like appearance and not about her notability as an actress or model. So, if you can't restore, then can I make a new article without adding that puffery or advertisement-like part with the same name??? Thank You.... Gihan Jayaweera (talk) 9:00, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

- @Gihan Jayaweera: The person you want to write about is a minor figure in the "celebrity" world, someone who has been employed as a model, entered contests ("Mrs. Noble Queen of the Universe"?!?), and got a role or two in television or film. Morning,
Unfortunately you are mistaken – I am NOT being directly or indirectly compensated by the artist and or any person affiliated with the topic. Last year I proposed "Janko de Beer" as an article for creation and was submitted through the articles for creation process. The draft article was approved by WikiPedia and moved to the main article pages, as can be seen in the timeline\history of the articles creation.
I am currently busy with a wikipedia project (started during our covid lockdown), focusing on notable artists from South Africa with no direct or indirect compensation by the artist or any person affiliated with the topic. I love writing and doing research in the art industry and am doing this project for free. I selected a couple of noteworthy South African artists like Lionel Smit, Riaan van Zyl, Mbongeni Buthelezi to name but a few, to include on wikipedia's database of knowledge.
Janko de Beer from Cape Town, SA was the first on my list, it took me nearly 5 months of research before attempting the draft article on my first topic. The draft was accepted and the article moved to the wikipedia main page.
I am currently working on Riaan van Zyl an artist based in the Boland of South Africa and will start my draft article on him within the next couple of months, if my free time permits.
Anyhow, I would appreciate it if you can put the article back up onto the wikipedia main space, seeing that a lot of work went into creating the article and also because no wikipedia rules and regulations were broken in creating such article.
Appreciate your concern, but I believe that this response will put you at ease.
Hear from you soon.
Best regards, Trevor HughesTrevor HughesTrevor (talk) 10:09, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi there,
It seems that an article I wrote was deleted in that it was suggested that I did not divulge the fact that I was paid to write the article.
I wish to state unequivocally that I was not paid to write the article and wrote it because it is a valuable edition for South African artists on Wikipedia. I did a lot of research on the subject and went through the whole process to get the article accepted by wikipedia and moved into the main article space...just to get deleted without any recourse to the author.
I would really appreciate if you can please get back to me in this regards?
Best, Trevor HughesTrevor (talk) 14:24, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Bhupesh Bansal article deleted
→ in re: Bhupesh Bansal (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Hello @Athaenara:
Can you tell me why Bhupesh Bansal's article got deleted? As I read the reason which you mentioned A7 talks about "that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant."
Bhupesh Bansal is the illustrator of the biggest content creator company named RVCJ. His posts are already viral all over India. Moreover, he has worked with other companies and Bollywood celebrities which shows that people have searched about him, and by creating Wikipedia of his name, we can provide information to people.
I have created other articles too and I know the Wikipedia guidelines and policies. Just let me know where I was wrong so that I can create a draft again, add more content with reliable media links. Moreover, I had added reliable media links such as Midday, Deccan Chronicle, Asia Netnews, etc.
Looking forward to your guidance so that I can create the article and make Wikipedia more better and informative. Rajveer90 (talk) 17:52, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Rajveer90: You wrote advertising for a person whose notability is insufficient as per Wikipedia guidelines. The notice from User:DMySon on your own talk page at User talk:Rajveer90#Speedy deletion nomination of Bhupesh Bansal linked deletion criteria pages for both G11 and A7, did you not read them? You said here, "by creating Wikipedia of his name, we can provide information to people." Who are "we" in that statement? – Athaenara ✉ 18:53, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Athaenara:, I have read G11 too which says that it is promotional content and Wikipedia doesn't allow any type of promotional content. I don't know Bhupesh Bansal, every day I see posts of Rajnikant vs CID jokes (RVCJ) made by Bhupesh. I didn't know about him but when I researched about him then I came to know his story and all media articles.
- Coming to the other point, "We' stands for all the editors who help and make Wikipedia a place that is appreciated and used by millions of people.
- I am not doing any promotional stuff for anyone just creating another page like I created others so that it can help readers. If you can provide me your guidance I can create draft again with all reliable media links and submit it for review. Rajveer90 (talk) 19:04, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Rajveer90:, May be Rajnikant vs CID jokes (RVCJ) notable subject but Bhupesh Bansal does not pass Wikipedia's General notability criteria as of now. It lacks significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject.DMySon 06:51, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
@DMySon:, @Athaenara:, I agree with you but all the media articles that I had mentioned were from reputed and big media houses in India. They all were reliable sources as I have used some of the same newspaper links earlier for other drafts and those get reviewed easily.
And for your information, there was not a mention of Bhupesh Bansal in the media articles. The whole article was based on him, talked about his life journey, and his work. So, I think Bhupesh Bansal pass Wikipedia's General notability criteria. I will try to make a new draft with more content and more reliable media links.
Looking forward to your valuable response. Rajveer90 (talk) 20:39, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Hey @Athaenara:
You deleted a page of a club in Rajasthan state of India called Rajasthan United FC (RUFC) on 4th march by saying this is a promotional page. But in really that is not a promotional page.
Rajasthan United FC are the winners of inaugural season of Rajasthan State Man's League. So i just made a page for them. They have not asked me for any page creation and i'm not linked with them. Some days ago other user had created a deletion request for RUFC logo saying it was copyright violation But then i contacted the RUFC and taken permission to use logo.
I know the Wikipedia guidelines and policies. Just let me know where I was wrong so that I can create a draft again, add more content with reliable media links. Moreover, I had added reliable media links too.
Looking forward to your guidance so that I can create the article and make Wikipedia more better and informative.

- as a page that was previously deleted via a deletion discussion, is substantially identical to the deleted version, and any changes do not address the reasons for which the material was deleted. See the previous discussion. See CSD G4.
- because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. See the previous discussion. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. Hello Athaenara, could you please retrieve the text of Samir Gervalla, an article you recently deleted, and send it to me, since I was the one who created it? You can also post it at User:Aeternus/Samir Gervalla. Thank you very much in advance. --Λeternus (talk) 13:48, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aeternus: I'm not retrieving anything for a spammer paid by clients to write about them on Wikipedia. – Athaenara ✉ 23:10, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- Even though paid contribution is allowed in Wikipedia and you did not provide any clarification on why you deleted the article under the G11 criterion for speedy deletion, aside from referencing the G11 warning placed on my talk page? G11 notes that "if a subject is notable and the content could plausibly be replaced with text written from a neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion", and "any article that describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion". Can you please specify which part of the article didn't adhere to WP:NPOV, was promotional in nature, or didn't reflect the sources it was based on? --Λeternus (talk) 11:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aeternus: Perhaps you can find someone who is willing to help you promote your client on Wikipedia. That's not the kind of thing I do, so it won't be me. – Athaenara ✉ 11:52, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- I am not asking from you to help me promote anyone, I am asking you to provide justification for your deletion of Samir Gervalla. Again, how did you decide the article does not adhere to WP:NPOV? --Λeternus (talk) 12:10, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aeternus: Fellow editor Onel5969 (talk · contribs) tagged the page for {{db-g11}} deletion and, agreeing with that assessment, I followed through. Perhaps you noticed something I posted in November (diff) near the top of this page, or perhaps you didn't: "ANY reliable administrator is free to reverse ANY administrative action I have taken, whether page protection, page deletion, user block, or anything else." Perhaps you will find another administrator who is amenable to your efforts. I am not. – Athaenara ✉ 12:44, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Bravo. Onel5969 TT me 13:06, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Athaenara, I want to point it out that I'm not necessarily asking from you to revert the article or help me in any way, only to describe how did you decide it does not adhere to WP:NPOV or is "blatantly promotional". The G11 warning placed on my talk page notes that "if the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator". Deciding just to delete an article without an explanation and then just asking me to find "another administrator who is amenable to [my] efforts" seems irresponsible at best. You even called me a "spammer" (so much for WP:CIVILITY) without giving an explanation even once on why do you think the article contained spam, even after I requested it. Your only justification seems to be that I'm a paid user, like that is somehow a bad thing. I want to remind you that paid editing is allowed in Wikipedia and I declared my COI on both the article's tack page and on my userpage according to the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use. --Λeternus (talk) 16:05, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

- Advice on how to deal with off site evidence identifying covert marketer
Hi Athaenara, I hope all is well. So I have been dealing with someone claiming that they are working on a promo page as part of a school project. But in addition to realizing that the editor's formerly blocked account was renamed to that of someone that writes for the company's website (editor is currently using 2 accounts), an off Wiki search quickly identified the subject as a current member of the marketing team. Is there anything I can do about it without violation outing rules? Best, GPL93 (talk) 20:27, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Hy! Could you please restore the article Tobias Broeker in my user pages for further completion? Please note that the German article will most likely be kept (see the deletion discussion there). Thanks and best regards, Uwe Martens (talk) 20:52, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Uwe Martens: I don't care how many pages Wikipedia Deutschland keeps, both these pages were written by the same self-promoter. – Athaenara ✉ 23:00, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- In the German discussion it becomes clear that this is not a self-promotion, but a musicological highly relevant work, as several encyclopedically relevant contemporary composers all over the world are represented by this editor! Furthermore, no monetary (advertising) intentions are discernible, neither in the WP-article, nor on the website of the sheet music publisher. Anyway, please restore it in the article namespace for a regular deletion discussion or in my subpages for a review, thx! Uwe Martens (talk) 00:25, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

- 'a musicological highly relevant work, as several encyclopedically relevant contemporary composers all over the world are represented by this editor'? Absolute load of nonsense: if I write a book about Beethoven am I suddenly notable? There are virtually no proper third-party sources that speak about Tobias Broeker as a notable 'musicologist' or 'publisher'. He doesn't become notable just by putting his work on his own website (and writing his own Wikipedia article!). 82.173.133.70 (talk) 06:34, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I see that you have deleted the page for Udaan (company) - if possible could you undelete and move that to Draftspace so I can try to improve it. I am **not** trying to promote this company, or any other company - I created articles for multiple companies yesterday (Udaan, CRED, PharmEasy) because these companies recently became unicorns and received a lot of coverage, and I was surprised to find that these had no articles on Wikipedia.
I went through the Wikipedia:Identifying_blatant_advertising article, and I couldn't really find what I did wrong - I didn't refer to the company in first person, nor did I try to promote any of its features (there was ONE line about the company's business and that was just saying "Udaan is a B2B FMCG company". It would really help if you could move these to draftspace, and tell me what I could do to make these seem less "promotion-y". KNivedat (talk) 05:18, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Recent deletion of biography of Brian Chater
→ in re: Draft:Brian Chater (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Hello Athaenara, I recently submitted a biography for Brian Chater, who is a notable person within the Canadian music industry, but it was (very) speedily deleted for the following reason; "...because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic."
I do not understand this at all, because even though the overview may seem to describe Brian in overly glowing terms, all of it can be easily verified as factually correct from multiple reliable sources by simply searching his name. I did list several references as well, which verify his activities at various stages of his life. If the article needs improvement, I am quite happy to do that. I will review the guide, since this is my first article. However, could you please re-instate this article in draft form, so that I can access it and continue to work on it. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Also, I thought I had declared that I was close to Brian, which may represent a conflict of interest, but I thought I had written the article from a neutral perspective, if not, that can be improved as well. Hi Athaenara, I wanted to start a draft for a DJ and presenter named Carly Wilford who has a long history as a presenter and has been also making a name for herself as a producer. Her singles have been getting a lot of streams and press. I was surprised that she didn't already have a page as lot of my friends in the dance music world have been talking about her. I was about to draft a page but saw this notice, "A page with this title has previously been moved or deleted. If you are recreating a page similar to the previously deleted page, or are unsure, please first contact the user(s) who performed the action(s) listed below"
I'm not sure what was exactly written, but does say 'Unambiguous advertising or promotion.' The info and sources that I have outline her career and success with significant coverage and reliable sources like the BBC, DJ Mag and Mixmag. Would it be alright for me to add compeltely new content to the draft page?
Thank you for your time and attention to this. Tlatzotzontli (talk) 10:37, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Tlatzotzontli: As you can see, someone using that name wrote pages which were tagged and deleted as spam as far back as 2017. Deletion of Article: Solita (company)
→ in re: Solita (company) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (deletion review), Draft:Solita (company) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Hello! Yesterday you deleted an article about Solita because of "G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion". The documentation says that "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to serve as encyclopedia articles, rather than advertisements. If a subject is notable and the content could plausibly be replaced with text written from a neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion." So even though you think it is promotional it should not be deleted as the subject is notable. "A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There were 42 references on the article and only 2 of them were company internal. There's also a Wikipedia article about the company in Finnish, started on 2010. So could you restore the article and help me to understand which parts of the article were too promotional?Jjanhone (talk) 05:13, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

The company probably is marginally notable. Many companies that hire paid editors are marginally notable, and many companies that we never heard of are marginally notable. However, hiring a paid editor and then continuing to work too hard at getting an article accepted is a way to reduce the likelihood of being the subject of an article to very nearly zero. Most companies that hire paid editors, or that task one of their employees to submit articles, would be better off to pay for web site design, because a company has nearly complete control of what it can say on its own web site (with the exception that it isn't allowed to make fraudulent or libelous claims, etc.). But some companies won't listen. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:04, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

- Greetings
Hello, First I would like to congratulate you on your many contributions to Wikipedia. As a long time member and an administrator I ask if you could please give me advice and guidance. I am a Lebanese journalist and I am also a new editor on Wikipedia. I decided to become an editor so I can create articles and edit articles about notable Lebanese figures. I am also planning to write a book about every notable Lebanese person who has ever existed. My name is Tony and I am originally from Jounieh, Lebanon. Upon doing research, I noticed that an article about a Lebanese figure who lives in the United States was put into deletion after publication. I did some research and noticed there is nothing promotional about the article whatsoever. I also noticed many American news references on the talk page. I would really like your expertise and guidance on this matter as I am new to Wikipedia and I do not know much about how things happen here. I did noticed that the person whom nominated the article for deletion did it without reasoning and this is why I would like your expertise on the matter. I was planning on publishing my own article about a notable Lebanese person next week, however after seeing what happened with this article and how it was nominated for deletion without much reason, I lost motivation on writing my own article. I just do not want to put in the time and effort and then have the article deleted just because the person whom the article is about is Lebanese. Thank you so much for your time and expertise. Because, the person is a notable business person in South Asia. He has won many international awards and accolades. So I think, I can make the article again in encyclopedic tone. your suggestions?? Thank You. Gihan Jayaweera talk 16:15, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Gihan Jayaweera: It started out as a puff piece, not an encyclopedia article, then after it was tagged for deletion per {{db-g11}} and {{db-a7}} you took out what you saw as the most promotional material without improving it significantly. The career of the guy you were writing about was/is in marketing and the piece you wrote appears to indicate that it's your field too. – Athaenara ✉ 12:10, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

Dear Athaenara,
You have deleted or tagged my page due to the 'G11' Clause. However, I followed the encyclopedic guidelines and used other similar existing pages as references to create this page. Please let me know how I can improve this page and which specific clauses you feel were unambiguously promoting anything? There was a list of courses offered, there was the reason why this government university was built, and the different eligibility criteria for certain courses. The governance structure is a fact as the legislative assembly was the one that passed an article to create this particular university. I would be really glad if we could work together and resolve this issue at the earliest.

Hello Athaenara, You deleted the article Syntechno on the due to the 'G11'. This was the second version, which I completely rewrote in order to remove all signs of advertising, and added only the facts in an encyclopedic way. This article was written in exactly the same way as other companies from the list of laboratory diamond manufacturers (example , Apollo Diamond Gemesis Scio Diamond Technology Corporation )and it seems to me that the removal of the only large company from Russia looks at least strange. It is made according to the same encyclopedic templates as other articles (despite the fact that in other articles there are much more advertising texts). I am not exaggerating its importance, but this company is one of the largest in the country and the only public company in Russia supported by the government (as indicated in 9 authoritative sources). Could you explain exactly what things seemed to you to be advertising, and whether it is necessary to create a new version? Best regards, Igor erferger (talk) 08:23, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

I am little suprised about this… Notice that I am note Alex Van Gelder; after discovering and like his original work and notice that there was no information about him, I thought it was suitable to collect information about him and publish an article on Wikipedia. I know that I have made at less two mistakes : - I have created a new account not in reference with my personal name but with the first article I have projected to write… whereas I will probably publish other articles about other artists not present on Wikipedia. - I have also probably associated to much external links, not enough internal links and references; I thought that I will be able to ajust this after the first publication. I will really appreciate if you will be able to guide me to finally suceed to publish this article… What is the good way? - Cancel all and re-start at the beginning: create a new account, rewrite a new draft, etc.? - Or, is there a more simple way to restore and adjust the work done and publish it again with corrections? Thank you very much for help — I'm also here to learn! — and I hope there is a simple way to solve the problem… --AvGnet (talk) 13:04, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
Draft:Christian Speck and copyvio

Hi Athaenara, thanks for speedying the draft I declined. Since I'm new to reviewing, would you mind clarifying whether it met the criteria for G12 (since G11 was the given deletion reason)? I wasn't sure how much close paraphrasing was permitted but wanted to be cautious. Thanks! JoelleJay (talk) 01:42, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- @JoelleJay: There was nothing wrong with the G12 tagging. I often add G11 to such deletions because they so often are that. – Athaenara ✉ 01:54, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

- @YosDav: No. Who's paying you to get that guy a Wikipedia page? or are you one of his students/employees? – Athaenara ✉ 23:11, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Athaenara: Thank you for your reply. I am not being compensated. I know the person and sought his approval to create a Wikipedia page for him. I am neither his student nor employee, but we have worked together. Everything in the page is factual and verifiable, and he is notable in his profession and area of research. If the page is too promotional, I can tone it down so that it is more neutral, befitting of an encyclopedia entry. I can also easily address the G12 tagging. I don't have a backup, so, please, could you reconsider restoring the page, if not to the drafts section, then to my sandbox, where it was saved before one of the editors moved it to drafts when I submitted it. Alternatively, if it is possible, you can send it to my e-mail account. YosDav (talk) 00:15, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- @YosDav: I won't, but you could save time by going directly to Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. – Athaenara ✉ 00:29, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hmm, they say it's not for G11 or G12. You could try Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to provide copies of deleted articles. – Athaenara ✉ 00:34, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Athaenara: Thank you for the link. I contacted one of the administrators on the page, and she is unwilling to provide a copy of a draft tagged with G11 or G12. I had the impression from my conversation with her that the other administrators listed would also reject my undelete request for the same reason. I will rewrite the article. As I said previously, the G12 tagged by the reviewer is easy to address. The G11, however, is, in my opinion, debatable. It would be helpful if you could explain to me why you feel the draft warranted a G11 tagging. I used https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(academics) as a guideline and the academic infobox (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Template:Infobox_academic), which I completed in detail.YosDav (talk) 15:43, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello Athaenara, I dont understand why did you delete the draft shortly after it was restored and again I cannot see it and do anything. If you delelte it since Im paid editor than I believe this is wrong since I disclosed it and although you wrote you felt I needed a reminder, I dont because I followed all the rules and edit the draft with solid sources. I would like to get a fair chance althoug Im paid because Yosef is not a minor artisit and I place many reliable sources on the draft. Can you please first restore it so I can have the text and explain why you believe its advertising when its not different from other artisit pages? I will note yet again that I can edit and change and always happy to hear opnions! I did all the checks and I think the draft isnt getting a fair chance and look. - Athaenara, first of all, im not advertising and the draft is not advertising. If it would, it wont be in a netural point of view as well as Gal probably wouldnt be getting awards, sold of 1 million dollar and have so many articles about him including vouge. Adding to that, it is ok to be a paid editor as long as you follow the guidlines and declare - which I have done both. Please show me where you see advertising and why is Gal not worth of being included in Wiki? did you read the draft before you deleted it following my edits? ברטוביניו (talk) 14:39, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi, you deleted a draft that I requested to be userfied. Can you please restore it so I can edit it to meet Wiki's guidelines? The biggest issues for self-promotion seemed to be the direct links and cites to the professor's website. I plan to remove them. Hello. I had specifically shown that I was being paid to make the draft for John Franek. I was abiding by all regulations of article creation and was TRYING to put as many objective sources as possible in. I would appreciate that you correspond with me before deleting the article entirely. Please revert the draft deletion and engage in dialogue immediately. I would be more than willing to provide you with the links and articles that valorize his position within the field of composition. Please reach out to me. It is not promotional at all, as John Franek is a world renown composer. Also, the other account [while being made by me a LONG time ago] did make an article for Franek but it was shoddy and poorly done. Please talk with me and I will show you why John Franek is justified for an article and why more work is necessary to ensure that the article is accepted.
You seem to have a habit of deleting drafts that fall under G11. My article does NOT fall under G11 and I was attempting to show that if you would give me the time of day to actually FINISH MY EDITS.
It is not badgering and I would like a discussion made to reinstate my draft.

- Wrong Draft Reversion
Hello. You seem to have restored the wrong one. The one that was originally there is the correct one, as it had biographical information from copious sources. Please restore the one that was there prior to your deletion. That version took DAYS, and I mean days to find sources talking about his childhood. Please just revert it back to what it was before you got involved and I will add more important sources. What you have done is essentially delete work I cannot undo because I no longer have the sources, except for the draft that was there before you got involved.
Please just go back to the draft that was there before your involvement.I am quite literally begging you, as I don't have time or the mental fortitude to find all the sources and write the biographical section again. I know my other draft is there somewhere and it existed before you deleted it. I was going to work on it tonight, but now it's all gone because of your deletion. This is why people leave Wikipedia. I put hard work into writing that biographical section AND IT'S GONE.
Thank you very much for getting involved, all the work I put into creating a full biography is gone if you don't restore the other version.
- Please listen to me
I know the other version exists there somewhere. PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU, restore the other version. It is what you want, a more objective and fuller article. I CANNOT REWRITE IT, SO I WILL HAVE TO EVENTUALLY GIVE UP. This is very disheartening and I want to cry. I am so desperate to have the other version back. Please, help me.
- Why do you not care?
I am unsure why you don't care that I put weeks of work into a draft that you deleted in seconds? Don't you have any compassion for the work that I did that you just so quickly deleted? At least send me a screenshot so I can write down the work that I did. Please, ANYTHING. I just need to see the words so I can use them again.
- PLEASE
I know the version is there, all you have to do is restore it or send me the words or SOMETHING. PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU. I AM FUCKING HOPELESS, PLEASE GIVE ME BACK MY OLD DRAFT. I WILL DO ANYTHING. PLEASE.

- Deletion of Al Hamra Real Estate Development without any notice
You have recently deleted the page on Al Hamra Real Estate Development under speedy deletion, though the page was already reviewed by a number of moderators and it was asked to make content adjustments related to any promotional text. This was also done over a number of revisions and the remaining content was only informational. Please elaborate how the page qualified for speedy deletion and no notification has been made on my talk page or anywhere. The contribution made to Wikipedia was notable and it was amended to meet the guidelines and speedy deletion doesn't make sense when changes were already made. This needs to be explained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sana Amjad Kiyani (talk • contribs) 07:25, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Sana Amjad Kiyani: It was a detailed advertisement, like what a company might choose to write about itself on its own website, not an encyclopedia article. – Athaenara ✉ 07:37, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- {{Reply to|Athaenara} No, it wasn't. Had it been a detailed advertisement, it wouldn't have been up on the Wikipedia for a few weeks. Other editors reviewed the page, let it go live and only a template to remove a few parts that deemed promotional was added to the article and those parts were removed as well. After a few weeks of it being live, you deleted it suddenly without any information and now that I have mentioned, you have created a talk page. This isn't appropriate. An article with well-researched content and details is a worthy contribution to Wikipedia so please I would like you to put the article back in its place and let the other editors & admins review it - you'll see that it doesn't qualify for speedy deletion.
Referring to the policy page of Wikipedia page, which clearly states that there has to be consensus on the deletion of the page. If the page has survived speedy deletion and content changes were made, then this deletion doesn't make sense.Sana Amjad Kiyani (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 07:18, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

I could NOT find Contest this speedy deletion BUTTON on the page because it DOES NOT EXIST! Kayla_Perkins is the page. NOTHING has ANY violations of COPYRIGHT, in fact, I GAVE CREDIT to Chris Whickers the photographer of the picture that I uploaded.
Now, would you kindly PLEASE restore the page? There's a HOLDING page now on her website as I'm in the process of building a new one which will be uploaded soon. Her mother "ASKED" me to do this for her and all the text is FROM her mother which I put on her website.

A page I was formatting was deleted after a disagreement on a different edit on something unrelated. This was an attack against me. totally legitimate. please restore.

Simon Marginson page
→ in re: Simon Marginson (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
May I ask why my article Simon Marginson was deleted? It was stated that the article included "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". I am happy to revise the article, but may I ask why you think the article is "Unambiguous advertising or promoting"? The article was written based on objective facts and did not involve subjective comments. The page merely introduces some basic facts of a well-cited scholar in our field (with 31,400 Google Scholar cites). You might check this page. I don't see problems with having a Wikipedia article on this. In addition, there are many other similar articles that exist and have not been deleted. LiliYang edu (talk) 10:10, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- @LiliYang edu: Did you have any guidance from anyone at Wikipedia before writing that page? The first problem that leaps out is that the text is loaded with external links (ten in the first two paragraphs alone!) which as far as I can remember is strongly advised against in every beginning Wikipedia editor instructions I've seen. The second is that the whole thing reads not like an encyclopedia article but like an academic résumé/CV, and hosting such CVs is not Wikipedia's purpose. I would expect that some of the links Praxidicae provided in the first two messages on your own talk page would yield some of the information you need. And what is "our field"? How many people are using the LilyYang_edu account? – Athaenara ✉ 10:14, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Athaenara: Thank you for your prompt reply. I did not have any guidance from people at Wikipedia unfortunately. Thank you for your pointing out the problems. Could you help to restore the page so I can make revisions accordingly? Also, this user is only used by myself. What I said about "our field" just indicated my sense of belongingness to the research field I have been involved in in the last decade. LiliYang edu (talk) 10:23, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- So, you did not read, for example, Help:Your first article, the first helpful link bolded in the first message on your talk page. – Athaenara ✉ 10:28, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- Since you're asking for help, I will tell you what you most need: experience in improving encyclopedia articles before trying to write an entire page about someone in your field whom you consider very important and about whom you have not yet achieved encyclopedic objectivity. – Athaenara ✉ 10:33, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
@Athaenara: I did read the online guide, but I may have missed some important points. What I said was that I didn't receive any particular help from someone who is experienced with creating and editing Wikipedia pages. Will use the guidance and try to develop more experience before making revisions to this new page. As this is more about my experience, could you restore the page so I can make revisions when I am ready? Thank you. LiliYang edu (talk) 10:36, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

- @Lazy Maniik: I've reviewed the contents of the deleted draft and could not find any copyright violations. As I would assume you know, copyright infringements consist of specific word-for-word text that has been copied. Can you please provide the text from the draft that is a copyright violation? Otherwise, this deletion may be undone. ––FormalDude talk 06:30, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: I deleted it per {{db-g11}} as unambiguous advertising and promotion, noting also that it had been tagged as a copyvio. To be totally 100% clear: I did not delete it as a copyvio. – Athaenara ✉ 06:37, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I can see it. Thank you for replying to me.Best Regards.---✨LazyManiik✨ 06:49, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- My mistake, I was going off of Lazy Maniik's CSD tag.
- As far as G11, the draft does not seem to qualify for that as it looks like it would have been relatively easy to cleanup any promotional content. Athaenara, did you really think none of the content was salvageable? ––FormalDude talk 07:15, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- I did not intend to come off as "trapping" you in reference to our conversation on your talk page, @Lazy Maniik:. All I was looking for was clarity on what exactly was wrong with the draft, and why you did not deem it fit for inclusion. I apologize if I came off as combative in any way, I'm just trying to do my part in positively contributing to our community here on Wikipedia. Also, @Athaenara: I would be happy to remove any information that comes off as unambiguous advertising and promotion about the subject via continued edits for an AoC resubmission. @Thefarcry: and @FormalDude: After thinking about this off and on for several hours, I decided to undelete it. – Athaenara ✉ 12:45, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

Deletion of Katrin Klimova

Hi, I would like to know why this page was deleted. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Katrin_Klimova I used neutral tone, used only facts, there was no advertisement or promotions there.... So I'm a bit baffled by it. Can you please let me know?

Thank you,

- @Athaenara: it looks like another editor has gladly taken on recreating at least two of the promo articles that this user was trying to publish (see Katrin Klimova & Ksenia Svarovski). Best, GPL93 (talk) 17:29, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry to over-ping, but I was wondering if you had any insight into how close of a resemblance there is to the two articles above and Draft:Katrin Klimova & Draft:Ksenia Svarovskikh. I'm trying to gauge whether or not an SPI should be opened. Best, GPL93 (talk) 17:41, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- @GPL93: The time I've devoted to sockpuppet investigations is minimal so I've very little experience in that area, sorry, but I am confident in asserting that all the accounts behind these pages have been engaging in undisclosed paid editing. – Athaenara ✉ 00:39, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Removed Article at Africa Groundnut Council
→ in re: edits to African Groundnut Council (history)
Afternoon Atheanara. My name is bractullo and I am a history student at UK university. I submitted my first article ever to Wikipedia on history of groundnuts in The Gambia. You removed it entirely and I assumed because it was a dis ambiguous page. You have now removed my second attempt on what I presumed to be an entirely suitable page. A wiki administrator had already viewed the second attempt and found it acceptable. Can you give me feedback as to what was wrong with my first attempt at an article. Bractullo Bractullo (talk) 13:02, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Bractullo: (contribs) I recommend reading Help:Your first article. – Athaenara ✉ 07:52, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- Africa Groundnut Council
Afternoon Atheanara: Having taken your advice and read your recommended article could I ask you to reconsider your decision to reject my article, please - I assume as you decided it was not notable. I have discussed your decision with my University Professor who vetted it before I submitted it. We also note another wiki-admin previously thought it was OK. Also it was posted on an appropriate page that defined itself as a stub and asked for additions. The thrust of my article not merely dealt with groundnuts but, as you are aware, followed the development of the groundnut from Slavery, through colonisation, decolonisation, neocolonisation to Clomate Change. I personally tried to make this transition both interesting and notable. Obviously you did not agree but I would sincerely ask you to reconsider and repost my article as I do feel, as does my professor, that it has something to offer and add to Wikipedia. Your feedback would be much appreciated. Bractullo (talk) 15:07, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Bractullo: You seem to think that hijacking a pre-existing page by adding a massive amount of self-generated material is the same as writing an article. It is not. Judging from your second message here, I suspect you still have not read the Help page I linked in my first reply. – Athaenara ✉ 18:18, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

Can I please get a reply on this? As I am willing to create and contribute to this page titled "Haroon Kadwani" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sherlock95 (talk • contribs) 07:44, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- There are four other accounts (three of which created Haroon Kadwani pages) which are blocked for sockpuppeting. Is this another one? – Athaenara ✉ 08:00, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
No absolutely not. I am generally interested in writing about films and tv dramas and public figures associated with media industry. Just wanted to ask you why was this page deleted earlier and is there any way we can restore it. I am willing to contribute useful information regarding this actor along with authentic resources. Let me know what can be done? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sherlock95 (talk • contribs) 09:52, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- You are welcome to create a user sandbox (in your case that would be User:Sherlock95/sandbox) and draft an article there, following Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I recommend reading Help:Your first article if this is the first time you've tried writing an encyclopedia article here. – Athaenara ✉ 10:33, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

Undeletion of page "Shree Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh"

My page named "Shree Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh" which I created yesterday was deleted, under criteria of advertising and promotion of person but I did not created this page for any promotion or advertising. This article was about a well known social organization. I have provided multiple sources for it as you can see on the page. I didn't understand why it was deleted and why anyone things it as promotional or advertising. Please restore my page or tell me what improvement I should do in it to get it undeleted. Shanusar (talk) 06:41, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
Athaenara Please can you tell me clearly what is problem in page, so I can explain my side that why this page is important and why it should have a separate standalone page on Wikipedia. This page is about an organisation which is very old and well known working for society but when anyone ( I too searched) search about it there is nothing on Wikipedia about it. There are multiple media and newspapers talking about it and have mentioned it. So I am requesting you to tell me clearly what is wrong in it and what changes are required. Thanks Shanusar (talk) 14:38, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Shanusar: I undeleted it after your first complaint here. It was deleted again by another administrator. The notice posted on your own talk page by the editor who tagged it explains the reasons clearly. There is also a question posted below that notice on your talk page which you should consider answering. – Athaenara ✉ 14:51, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
