Semi-protection for Libya
- Hi Anthony! I'm contacting you as you are the protecting admin of the Libya article, which has been semi-protected for over two years now. The article gets little attention these days, with only 15 edits in March 2013 compared to 489 in March 2011. Perhaps the semi-protection can be removed now.--eh bien mon prince (talk) 09:14, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Undiscussed page move
Hi Anthony,
Yesterday you moved Seat of the European Union to Location of European Union institutions at my request to reverse an undiscussed page move which the user had revert locked. However, today the user has made the exact same move again, still without discussion. He's simultaneously attempting to change the scope of the article, and the page move is their justification for including the desired content. It seems the user is just going to keep trying to force the content into the article and changing the name without discussion. Perhaps you can explain to them why this isn't appropriate? TDL (talk) 17:02, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have started your requested move, as a discussed move: see Talk:Seat of the European Union#Move?. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:33, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- The article has long been at Location of European Union institutions, but has twice been moved without discussion to Seat of the European Union. As per WP:RM/TR, "The Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle applies to uncontroversial moves (see Wikipedia:Be bold) and reverts of undiscussed moves." Since I've disputed this move, the article should be restored to Seat of the European Union pending the outcome of the RM. TDL (talk) 21:45, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Best discuss it where it is. It looks like I am likely to get caught in the middle of another dispute. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:50, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Super Smash Bros.
- I request a history merge of Super Smash Bros. DS & Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The former was sourced to an article about Nintendo wanting to make a portable Super Smash Bros, which is what the latter ended up being. SNS (talk) 01:33, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Not done: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has only 1 edit (a redirect), and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. (series) are WP:Parallel histories. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:54, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Please fix my screw-up (apologies)
- Hi Anthony, you handled this request for me, in which I requested that the article Neurorreflejoterapia be renamed to Neurorreflexotherapy. This was my screw-up, the target article name should have been Neuroreflexotherapy with just one r after Neuro, not two. This will require deleting the existing redirect at Neuroreflexotherapy and moving the existing article Neurorreflexotherapy (two r's) to Neuroreflexotherapy (one r). My understanding is that this should ideally be done as a move and not a copy-and-paste to keep the history. Sorry about specifying the wrong target. Thanks, appreciate it when you get around to it.

Is Unachess a notable chess variant? Although the article lists two sources, I'm not sure they're independent (that isn't a crime, but it is a factor in WP:GNG) and they appear to be essentially self-published web sites. I ask you because I know little about chess variants, and you know quite a bit. Since you created the page I can guess what you think about notability for the topic, but I don't see how that is demonstrated by the sources. Quale (talk) 06:39, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Unauthorized move
- Just a heads up, but you moved a page, Chibiusa to Sailor Chibi-Moon without consultation (Also looks like someone changed the name and added a hyphen) All these things were previously discussed on the talk page before and within the project. Both go against wikipedia rules. Please put in a formal request for a move before moving a page. The reason it was overturned the first time was because Chibiusa had a higher hit rate which goes with Wikipedia rules of how to name a page when it is in contention. Hit rate trumps consistency. Also we decided to go without the hyphen for similar reason and also because the parent project, Anime and Manga, requires that we go with the first and most frequent appearance of the name. We sorted all of that out. Please refer to archives and consult in the future before moving pages willy nilly. Put in a formal move request. I'm requesting it to be moved back per the rules. --Hitsuji Kinno (talk) 12:15, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

- Hi, why was this move done when I asked not to do so? The locality signs have NO apostrophe. The map does not have an apostrophe, GNIS does not have an apostrophe. Local usage does not even use the apostrophe, I objected to the move and yet, it was done anyway................Again , WHY was this done. - I owe you an apology. There are many times when remote communities are renamed or reassigned in the circumstances of just being forgotten or put away as lets face it, they are seen as eyesores, or left overs from a more rustic age. That is precisely why I opposed the move. I did not mean to come across as though I had burst a vessel, it is from experience that the correct grammar, or assignment of correct grammar nullifies the character of a place or rather makes it so bland tht it eventually blends in. That was the exact opposite of why these communities have such strange names.Coal town guy (talk) 12:50, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

History Merge for new article
- Thank you for doing the history merge from my article Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Javid_Husain to the copy-paste page created at Javid Husain by User talk:Pakithedjay. Unfortunately, this history merge also brought in prior history of User talk:Farooqhusain to similarly named article (mostly test work done in that user's sandbox and then some page moves to this same article name), that had earlier been self-blanked & deleted by user Farooqhusain. Is there a way to remove this specific prior history from the history of Javid Husain (everything prior to and including the delete request by Farooqhusain on 22:03 UTC on 7 August 2013)? Thank you. — (User_talk:99.19.19.51) 02:13, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
- But that older matter written by User:Farooqhusain is also all or mostly about Javid Husain, and this compare and this compare show much edit continuity between Farooqhusain's work and the later work :: they are parts of the same edit history.

- While I did gather some of the data/content related to this article in my user sandbox as part of a trial effort to see what a test page would look like, it was not my intention to publish it. The move by me of my test article page to the WP talk:AFC namespace was a mistake, which is why I asked for it's deletion. If possible, if you could please remove the history related to my test efforts in my user sandbox till my completed deletion request (as also requested above by User:99.19.19.51), that would be greatly appreciated. - Hello Anthony. My impression is that this technical request was arguing that Alexander Reid (playwright) is not the primary topic: ..of all the Alexander Reids at Alex Reid, this is the only unreferenced article, so clearly shouldn't be sitting here. Binh Long → Bình Long move request
- What happened here? The problem is that the relatively important Bình Long (a good sized town) is at Binh Long, and Bình Long is a redirect to Bình Long, An Giang, a small village. Alabama song "Say I"
- Hi Anthony. I was wondering if you could check this out please? This concerns a song for the band Alabama called "Say I". Now there appears to be an article for Say I (Alabama song) and a redirect for Say I (song). So, I was hoping that this could be fixed, with the current article (Say I (Alabama song)) being moved to the redirect (Say I (song)) and then having Say I (Alabama song) deleted, or something like that! Plant sources
Hi Anthony, I removed that one source again and left the cultivar there with the reliable source. While that davesgarden reference might have been correct in this case, it still is an extremely unreliable source for plant information. It also doesn't meet WP:RS. I've had this discussion with other editors who use dodgy sources like that one - one example is here, followed by a barnstar from a long time plant editor for my seemingly endless efforts in promoting the use of reliable sources for plant articles. You can see from that discussion that the website is extremely inaccurate at times, in addition to not meeting our WP:RS standards. It would probably be helpful to have something at Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants explaining what is and isn't a reliable source, but that seems to be a project wide problem that is best served by WP:RS. Thanks for listening to my rant.... First Light (talk) 16:15, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Benefit Corporation history merge
- Hi, I see you denied the history merge request on Benefit corporation per WP:Parallel histories. However, I don't understand how this is a case of parallel histories. The Benefit Corporation content begins in the B Corporation (certification) history on May 18, 2008 and was edited there until November 12, 2011. Then, all of that content was cut-and-paste moved to Benefit Corporation (which had until then been a redirect) on November 13, 2011, and the content at B Corporation (certification) was replaced with a redirect. Benefit Corporation grew from there. B Corporation (certification) remained a redirect until March 27, 2013, when the redirect was replaced with some new article content. B Corporation (certification) then grew with entirely original content; none of it from the original Benefit Corporation content. So this seems like a clear cut history merge case, rather than parallel histories, no? Thanks. Brycehughes (talk) 14:30, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Luis de Matos (magician)
Hello! I'm contacting you regarding a previous query. I would like to keep this page https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Luis_de_Matos_(magician) and not https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Luís_de_Matos. All references at this page are attested by valuable sources, is it possible to take down the banner regarding quotation, etc... ?
I also am creating two new pages regarding the Essential Magic Conference and Essential Magic Collection, unfortunately the EMConference page that I had already created was deleted. The whole point is to educate people on magic and one of it's major events in History.
Can you please help me?
Thank you. --AMASQ (talk) 14:43, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

- If the query was about calling the page Luis de Matos (magician) or Luis de Matos, Wikipedia's rules way that the addition " (magician)" is a disambiguator and is only needed if there is need to distinguish this Luis de Matos from other people called Luis de Matos. See Wikipedia:Disambiguation. Your page Essential Magic Conference was deleted (not by me) at 12:19, 1 October 2013 as "an article about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organized event that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. See CSD A7." and "in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic". Anthony Appleyard That is, briefly, that these articles look like advertisement. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 14:44, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you, Is it possible to remove the redirect frame fom https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Lu%C3%ADs_de_Matos&redirect=no and maintain only the https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Luis_de_Matos_(magician) ?
Can you help me 'undelete' the essential magic conference page? It is not an advertisement page. Thank you. --AMASQ (talk) 14:58, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- The text of Essential Magic Conference is: "The ESSENTIAL MAGIC CONFERENCE is the first magic conference designed exclusively for broadcast over the web. Over a three day period, 33 of the world's top magicians and thinkers meet to share their knowledge, experience and expertise. ==LEARN, SHARE, COLLABORATE== The Essential Magic Conference is dedicated to the sharing and dissemination of magical knowledge. It brings together experience and innovation and encourages collaboration and sharing via the medium of the internet. It is the first magic conference designed exclusively for broadcast over the web. Over a three day period, 33 of the world's top magicians and thinkers meet to share their knowledge, experience and expertise.". It looks a lot like advertisement to me. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:27, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
There was not enough time to complete the article. It was quickly deleted once it was created. Hopefully it will be possible to complete and improve it, as well as having removed this deletion banner. The EMC was a groundbreaking event in Magic History and the 3 years it took place it was supported and had the participation of all great minds and artists of the magic world. The purpose of creating this Wikipedia page is only to share it's historical importance with everyone. Having no place for The Essential Magic Conference in Wikipedia is in a parallel sphere regarding Magic History equal to say Woodstock has no place in Wikipedia regarding Music History. The Conference is now over there is no point in advertising it. Only sharing it's historical importance is relevant. --AMASQ (talk) 23:37, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Request for history merge
Hi there. Everytime I request a history merge, you are the one who is performing the merge. :) So this time I thought I'd ask here instead of adding the history-merge template, as this request might be a little more complex. We have used templates for updating league tables in Norwegian football articles, e.g. Template:2012 Norwegian Premier League and Template:2013 Tippeligaen table, but when the season is over those templates becomes redundant. I was thinking that it might be better to have a Template:Tippeligaen table, that can be updated throughout the season and then subst'ed after the season is over and the next season starts. I have now subst'ed all of the old templates, but instead of deleting them I was wondering if you could history merge them to preserve the edit history:
- Template:2011 Norwegian Premier League, Template:2012 Norwegian Premier League and Template:2013 Tippeligaen table history-merged to Template:Tippeligaen table.
- Template:2011 Norwegian First Division and Template:2012 Norwegian First Division history-merged to Template:Norwegian First Division table.
- Template:2011 Norwegian Second Division Group 1 and Template:2012 Norwegian Second Division Group 1 history-merged to Template:Norwegian Second Division Group 1 table.
- Template:2011 Norwegian Second Division Group 2 and Template:2012 Norwegian Second Division Group 2 history-merged to Template:Norwegian Second Division Group 2 table.
- Template:2011 Norwegian Second Division Group 3 and Template:2012 Norwegian Second Division Group 3 history-merged to Template:Norwegian Second Division Group 3 table.
- Template:2011 Norwegian Second Division Group 4 and Template:2012 Norwegian Second Division Group 4 history-merged to Template:Norwegian Second Division Group 4 table.
If that isn't possible, I'll bring those old unused templates to TfD instead. Cheers, Mentoz86 (talk) 09:39, 2 October 2013 (UTC)
- Done, except the Tippeligaen templates because of WP:Parallel histories because people edited each of year 2011 and 2012 's templates during the next year. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:37, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Anthony, it seems you have made a mistake here [1] by having treated contested move, that had been once reverted and opposed in talk page by multiple people, as uncontroversial technical move. There are lots of redirects and broken double-redirects after your page move. jni (talk) 09:32, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Note that {{histmerge}} is a legal requirement here as the contents of the page clearly meet the threshold of originality. Without a {{histmerge}}, the page is a copyright violation due to non-attribution of the authors of the original page. I'm not sure how to solve problems like this for category pages, though. --Stefan2 (talk) 20:43, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry :: category pages cannot be moved. That is how Wikipedia was written. Category pages do not display a "move" tab, not even for administrators. Best put a note in Category talk:Rescaled fairuse files more than 7 days old explaining what happened. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:13, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- The problem is that it's a copyright violation if the history isn't there, so the category page appears to meets WP:CSD#G12 for the moment... --Stefan2 (talk) 22:37, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- What external text does it appear to be a copyright violation of? I admit that there may be copyright queries about some of the images listed in the category, but the category page displays merely blue links with the names of those images. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:05, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

Orion 3
Just to let you know, I've redirected Orion 3 (Constellation program) to the main list page. I think what the IP user was requesting was that the page history of Orion 3 be untangled so that if the disambiguation page is deleted to make way for a move I proposed yesterday, the Constellation article's history would still exist. I don't think he was proposing that the article be restored - but rather separated and then redirected so a record of contributions to it still existed. Orion 3 was merged into List of Constellation missions in 2009 as the result of a discussion at Talk:List of Constellation missions --W. D. Graham 11:22, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

I asked to move Kaleh Mazandaran VC to Kalleh Mazandaran VC. I don't want to go the whole moving process because I was the only one against this move and now I think it's an uncontroversial move. as you can see another user stupidly moved the page to Kalleh Iran VC which is wrong, and it's not what he meant he did this since he can't move the page to Kalleh Mazandaran VC. can I ask you to move the page and finish this mess. Duplication of Caesar quote for Greek-writing Helvetii
- Hi Anthony Appleyard, I see on the Gaulish language wikipage that you have quoted Caesar's report on the Helvetii writing their census records in Greek characters. How should the hatnote in question be reworded to bring it into compliance with the guidelines I cited? Or should it be moved into the body of the article (perhaps the lede)? Or is there no problem at all? --SoledadKabocha (talk) 17:44, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Move of 1970s in literature to Literature in the 1970s
- Hi, Anthony. I feel that this should have been subject to a move request, bearing in mind that it cuts across all the naming conventions for "Year in Topic" articles. The original move was made by a less inexperienced contributor. Do you agree that it should be moved back and a request should be submitted?Deb (talk) 09:47, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
- There is an ambiguity here :: "1970s in literature" may mean "Literature that describes or depicts the 1970's" or "Literature written in the 1970's". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:38, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes - nevertheless, 1970 in literature is an article about Literature written in 1970, and all Year in Topic articles are worded that way, thus it was a potentially controversial move. Deb (talk) 12:57, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
History merge of Atif Ali Khan
- Hello, Anthony. I thought I would let you know that I have attempted to clean up the history merge that you did at Atif Ali Khan. You restored the history of an old deleted article apparently about a completely different person by the same name. I assume that this was a mistake, but please let me know if there was some good reason for doing this, which I didn't see. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:28, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
- I examined these deleted and undeleted pages before I history-merged. I have just now again examined the deleted and undeleted edits at Atif Ali Khan, and all these Atif Ali Khan's were born on December 17. Either they had the same birthday, or they were the same man. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:31, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
- OK, having the same birthday is enough to suggest that the two articles may perhaps be about the same person, despite the lack of any overlap at all in the information about his career. However, even if they are both about the same person, is it justified to restore an article deleted as a result of an AfD discussion, just because someone has now created a new article about the same person? That is certainly not normal practice, and I can't see any reason for doing so this time. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:19, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

The complex history merge of User:Pchemc/sandbox, Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago, and Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago just got more complex:
Between the time I made my request and the time you did the merge, RHaworth deleted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago and moved Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago over Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago without leaving a redirect.
Please check the deleted edits of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Filippo Drago to see if any of them need to be merged in for attribution purposes. If memory serves, these edits are between 17:15, 24 October 2013 and 14:56, 27 October 2013. If they are all by Pchemc then they can probably be left deleted, as he created the page anew at 14:56, 27 October 2013 based on the deleted edits. If anyone else made any significant edits, they will need to be un-deleted and merged in.

Okay, I've deleted it but when I try and do the history split the restore keeps failing (no error message, just nothing happens). Protection level change
- I'm a novice when it comes to changing protection. I haven't done it very often. I saw some advice suggesting that changing the protection level should include a discussion with the editor originally adding the protection. I see you added the full protection to {{Userbox}}. As you know, there is a new level of protection for editor with the template editor user right. Technical 13 requested the protection level change for this template, and I just granted it. I don't think this will be controversial, but I thought I should let you know in case you disagree.--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:55, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Scope and title for Bisexuality in the Arab world
During the recent AfD for Bisexuality in the Arab world (closed as 'keep') you will either have seen opinions expressed to expand the scope of the article, or voiced that opinion yourself. I am placing this notice on the talk pages of all who expressed an opinion of whatever type in that deletion discussion to invite you to participate in a discussion on article scope and title at Talk:Bisexuality in the Arab world. - I don't quite understand why you started a move discussion at Talk:Simon Maccabeus#Move? I thought the normal practice for disputed, undiscussed moves was to revert the move and then start a discussion on the proposed move from the old name to the new name. The Maccabbeus articles are now a mess. I reverted the moves of Jonathan Apphus, John Gaddi and Eleazar Avaran, but I was unable to revert Simon Thassi for purely technical reasons. So now the articles are totally inconsistent. Also, a (sort of) move discussion is taking place at Talk:Eleazar Avaran#Naming conventions on WP for the Maccabees. Alisha Heng
Hi Anthony Appleyard, I saw that you performed a move/histmerge on Alisha Heng. Just so you know, I've deleted this article; there is a vandal that goes around adding this "Alisha Heng" (who doesn't appear to be notable; not even an IMDB article) to various articles, replacing existing cast members with her name. In addition, it seems to have been a reworded copy of Alisha Newton. You're free to overturn my deletion if you like, especially if you feel it was out-of-process, but the article is a blatant hoax. Request for 'semi-protection status' removal for the page Abuse
I was wondering if you could un-protect the page, if only temporarily.
I haven't seen much vandalism at all recently, but I have seen at least 3 unregistered users wish to contribute since you placed the ban back in April. The article really needs all the help it can get (right now it has over 100 links to different types of abuse breaking up the page, completely awful to navigate). I think lifting the restriction may allow more team effort on improving the page by IP users.
Any way you could do that, or why this may not be a good idea? meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 16:04, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- If I unprotected page Abuse, the vandals will likely be back in it in a day or two. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:34, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Colorado Springs et al.
- The disambiguation page for this topic currently sits at Colorado Springs (disambiguation). I (or any other editor) can move it to Colorado Springs now that you've moved the Colorado city article back to Colorado Springs, Colorado, but because of the moves by 30 SW, the history for all of the information on Colorado Springs (disambiguation) is not there anymore. Is there any way to get that history back? If not, then the disambiguation page can just be moved to Colorado Springs. -Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 10:27, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for the move, Nimrod is a constant "laugh". Anyway, I think his most common name is without the umlaut as Nimrod Kamer. A few sources use it but most - including the earlier ones from his home country of Israel before he became a prankster - are without the umlaut. So I'm thinking it might be another running prank, in any case a less common variant. I suggest we remove the umlaut entirely, but the name is salted. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 16:04, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Was there a move discussion with respect to this page? Given the prominence of the philosopher, Immanuel Kant (and the fact that the redirect to that page had existed for nine years, and accumulated over 400 links), I would not exactly consider this a noncontroversial move. See User:Sperlonga sculptures. I worked what should be Sperlonga sculptures (now a redirect) up in my sandbox, then botched the move, which it won't let me do anyway, even though it has only ever been a redirect. Cheers, Johnbod (talk) 14:21, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Mark and Anthony. I see both of you recently edited James McGibney. OTRS received a complaint about recent edits; it looks to me like you are monitoring and cleaning it up. I see protection has been added. I didn't read though all of the history, but it looks like you are on top of it. I don't plan to do anything other than add it to my watch list and ensure the subject that it is being watched.--S Philbrick(Talk) 16:15, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of سكس ليلى علوى
A tag has been placed on سكس ليلى علوى requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Courcelles 17:31, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

Re: Consolation
Greetings! Per your comments at Talk:Consolation#Justification for the move, what do you think of this draft? Cheers! bd2412 T 23:30, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
- I don't understand your comment there dated 16:04, 30 November 2013. I left a question there but I'm not sure you saw it. —rybec 00:39, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- "rejected 2" means "I rejected 2 history-merge requests". (In this case, both were rejected as WP:Parallel histories.) Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:35, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- I understood "rejected 2" but not the "parallel histories" part. Does parallel history mean that two or more articles were developed alongside each other? It looks to me as though text was copy-pasted from one article into three new ones, then the original article was promptly turned into a redirect.
- My question is at [2]. —rybec 07:27, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- See page WP:Parallel histories. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:06, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- You had provided that link before, and I had read the section Wikipedia:Parallel_histories#Parallel_versions, which is what I assumed you were referring me to, before asking. It is about articles with "separate origins and simultaneous separate parallel histories before they were text-merged". I don't see that situation here. Instead, it looks like parts were taken from a single article to create three new articles. By "new" I mean they did not exist before, thus there was no merging. —rybec 18:10, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- And after that those three daughter articles were edited in parallel.
- 2013 global surveillance disclosures (the parent page) 's last edit (except redirects) was at 01:45, 30 November 2013. Of its 3 daughter pages:-
- Global surveillance disclosure's first edit was at 00:46, 28 November 2013 when it was cut out of 2013 global surveillance disclosures, which was edited more after that.
- Origins of global surveillance's first edit was at 01:10, 30 November 2013.
- Aftermath of the global surveillance disclosure's first edit was at 01:19, 30 November 2013.
- 2013 global surveillance disclosures can be history-merged with the third of these, but not with two of them or with all of them. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:27, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- 2013 global surveillance disclosures (the parent page) 's last edit (except redirects) was at 01:45, 30 November 2013. Of its 3 daughter pages:-
- In general, when an article is split, can the history of the parent article only be added to one of the destination articles? Could some of the edits after the splitting began, such as AvicBot's edit which only pertains to the redirect, be removed with selective deletion? —rybec 20:00, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- The history of the parent article can only be added to one of the destination articles, if that. If I delete some edits to make a join fit, that will lose history. The best thing is to put a history note in Talk:2013 global surveillance disclosures describing what happened. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:20, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
All right, thank you for explaining. I'll add {{Copied}} to the talk pages. —rybec 21:57, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Seljuq Empire
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Why was this page moved without discussion? As noted on the talk page there, Great Seljuq Empire is the common form in much academic writing, and a search of Google Books turns up many reliable sources referring to it in this form. Seljuq Turks and Seljuqs are also common, but the empire itself is generally called the Great Seljuq Empire. There is also a related category with that name, and the move creates multiple inconsistencies on the page itself as well as with numerous pages linking to it. At any rate, there should have been some discussion before the move was made. Laszlo Panaflex (talk) 23:25, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Fram has started another discussion about redirects you've created; you might want to comment there. —rybec 21:59, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- This guy is currently top item on the main page In The News. His name is spelled differently across multiple news sources, and your rename left the article at a different name to the news item. Not sure how this is classed as non-controversial? Stephen 01:43, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- The move which I made, was requested as uncontroversial by User:Article editor at 22:03, 13 December 2013 (UTC). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 08:51, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- Do you ever question whether claims by User:Article editor that issues are uncontroversial actually are? The user's talk page show other instances where such claims have been rejected, and the user has had no response to my inquiries regarding the GSE. (edit: Indeed, the Jang move discussed here has been overturned because it was contested, and there are similar complaints on the talk page there that the issue was not raised there first. This is incautious editing.) Perhaps some inquiry should be raised before making these moves uncritically. Laszlo Panaflex (talk) 14:07, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

- Gigantic mess here. Messy non-admin close splitting the move, implementing the move, dummying up a new move straight back. I have reverted close/new counter move due to Multiple SPAs, and a sock farm SPI at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Boratboy. I'm sure User Red Slash means well but this is now all over the place and needs to cool for a month. As you implemented the non-problematic move to current location any ideas how to clean this RM up? Sorry to leave this on your mat. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:02, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- Currently Kizzy McHugh and Talk:Kizzy McHugh each has only one edit, which is a redirect. The move back seems to have been done properly. Page Kizzy McHugh has 3 deleted edits dated 28 October 2008, which seem to be about Kizzy Getrouw. In detail, what else needs to be done? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:27, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I bluelinked the wrong page above, the mess (the SPI issue and non-admin half-closed RM leaving some discussion out of green box) is now at is at Talk:Kizzy. It may need nothing doing other than correcting the green box? Or may need more. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:21, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

- Hello, Anthony Appleyard. I was wondering if you could take a look at both the AfC for what's up Gurgaon and the article called What's up Gurgaon. - Thank you. Something that I have noticed is that after Sugbali began the AfC review, Smridhiagg created the second article where it currently is with Sugbali making a single edit to that article as well. Considering the low number of edits that both users have made, is it bad faith to think they might be the same user? --Super Goku V (talk) 07:43, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Patrick Lincoln
Please re-consider doing the history merge of Patrick Lincoln/version 2 into Patrick Lincoln. The only significant "conflicting edit" was done by the AFC Helper Script at 11:51, 4 December 2013, under the control of Darylgolden. This edit was made as part of the one-button "clean submission" operation of that script (diff).
