Spacing
Dear Caius, regarding your recent edit at Somerville College, Oxford, you might find MOS:PUNCTSPACE useful. Software condenses two or more spaces to just one when rendering a page, so editors may use any spacing style they prefer (e.g., a single space or two spaces after a period/full stop). So the double space is valid here, though no more or less so than single spacing, and the end result as to what is displayed is identical. That should save you a bit of time.
Regarding spacing in other contexts, there is further advice throughout the WP:MOS. Love, Aivin G. (talk) 20:50, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi Cauis!
It seems the birthdate is incorrectly mentioned as "(born September 23, 1976[1][2][3]) ". The sources for this do not seem reliable.
The first one does not have a mention for his birthdate. The second link does not work And the third link has the incorrect birthdate, but it also incorrectly mentions that his birthplace is Stockport which it's not. It's Salford.
The correct birthdate is September 13, 1976. I'll be happy to provide you with sources.

- Hey there, thank you for taking the time to sort this out! I am not terribly familiar with Robert James-Collier myself so I would suggest raising that issue on the articles talk page by creating a new section (top right) and posting your sources to allow others to contribute! Reversion at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021
Hi Caius G., thanks for your good faith edits to undo vandalism at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Unfortunately the edit you reverted was itself a reversion of vandalism. I cannot restore the page as I have already reached three reversions on that page today. This is the most recent unvandalised version of the page. dummelaksen (talk • contribs) 16:34, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi User:Dummelaksen, thanks for letting me know. I've restored the last version as edited by you. I'm surprised someone puts that much effort into vandalism! Best, Caius G. (talk) 16:38, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

Regarding 'List of most-viewed YouTube channels'
Hello Caius G. You had recently left a message on my talk page regarding my change in the article List of most-viewed YouTube channels and you had said that I didn't add proper citations for the information. Yes, I agree I did not add it on myself but the citations for all the channels youtube pages- as far as I checked- was already added, so I decided to let it be and updated the views because it is a dynamic list after all. I would love to receive a reply on what I can do next regarding this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Changing for a better future (talk • contribs) 18:58, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- Changing for a better future, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to me. The reason I asked you for a source is because it seems to contradict the information provided by Youtube here, which says that T-Series has 140m (as opposed to 150m per your edit) views. Best, Caius G. (talk) 19:59, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- Caius G. I am really sorry that was my mistake, it was an error on my side. I will look into it to fix it but the problem is I had fixed it for so many channels and had changed there positions as recently, some channels had surpassed others. I would request it to be the one I changed as I will fix that error. - Also, Caius G. like cocomelon-nursery rhymes no more has 89 billion views it has 91 and that was the case for many others so I just tried to update the views. - Changing for a better future, the article is definitely in need of some updating! Don't worry about the mistake, the good thing about WP's collaborative nature is that others can check your work and I definitely appreciate your work on this article. Hi, just to let you know that your edit to the Reuben College article added content between a reference and the assertions which the reference supports. This is not recommended (see WP:INTEGRITY) as it implies that your content is supported by the original reference. I have not checked the Telegraph reference, but when it was added the planned first entry of students was 2020 not 2021. I have resolved the issue by moving the information you added. Rollback granted
Hi Caius G.. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Anarchyte (talk • work) 03:41, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Npov on AFPAC
Hello Caius, I'd like to discuss your removal of my edits to the AFPAC article. Could you tell me what mistakes you think I made so that I can improve my writing?
Thanks, Emicho's Avenger (talk) 20:03, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Emicho's Avenger, sorry for being a bit blunt in reverting your (surely good faith!) edit, the article had experienced quite some disruption over the last time so I didn't give it too much thought. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out!
- Regarding your first edit: "Who has been called" implies that the claims of Fuentes' political beliefs are doubtful or heavily contested (see MOS:CLAIM for a better explanation). Given that plenty reliable sources call him as a white nationalist, it is safe to directly say that he is one. WP:WIKIVOICE describes the distinction between "X is Y" and "X is called/described/alleged to be Y" in more detail. Nonetheless, "is" vs "is widely called" is a debate that comes up often, see Adolf Hitler's talk page for frequent discussions on if he is evil or only widely described as such, similarly, I don't believe that any BLP directly describes their subject as "racist", usually substituting it with "widely described as" and the like.
- "Despite being described as being white nationalist, AFPAC 2021 had multiple speakers of colour. (YT link)" irks me because it implies ("despite") that having multiple non-white speakers contradicts its characterisation of being white nationalist. However, being a white nationalist does not imply blind hatred of people of colour. Even if hosting poc speakers contradicted its characterisation of being white nationalist, you would need sources that describe it as contradiction. Otherwise, it would be original research. General example of original research: If source X says that
A
, and source Y says thatif A then B
, addingB
to an article would be original research. You would need a source Z saying thatB
. In this case, you would need a source explicitly calling it a contradiction. - Your edit replacing "political commentator" with "hosts a political commentary show" doesn't bother me too much, I didn't need to revert it - but it does seem a bit wordy.
- This all seems needlessly complicated and there are countless instances of OR and POV on this project, but given the topic's political salience, I believe that it is important to adhere to these principles. I hope this helps! Happy editing, Caius G. (talk) 21:13, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Moors from spain
Hello, I deleted the word Moors from Spain and noticed that you have repeated it. I think playing with history is nothing worse than it. The word "moors" has nothing to do with dark skinned-Africans at all Xasazx123 (talk) 12:36, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- Xasazx123, as ZP has also been portrayed as having an Arabic (so not sub-Saharan Africa black) background, the term "moors" can be correct. You would be well-advised to not accuse other editors of "playing with history". Best, Caius G. (talk) 12:57, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- But so that the reader does not understand in a wrong way, it is according to what is written that "he was black because he was moors from Spain" this will make them believe that the Moors in Spain were black and this is wrong. there's no need to use this word in the first place. Xasazx123 (talk) 13:14, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- Xasazx123, I agree, people usually view those from Northern Africa as not "black", but something else. Perhaps "is black" should be replaced with "has dark skin" or "is dark-skinned". I think "moors" is relevant because it is often used to describe him and his origin. Best, Caius G. (talk) 13:23, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Xasazx123 (talk) 13:14, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
Not really, Moors was linked to him very wrongly, but the word Moors was given to various peoples as it is written, “Moors from Spain.” The word Moors was given to various peoples and whom Moors called them in Spain is not blacks think it should be deleted so as not to spread the wrong informations. hello,do you convinced? Xasazx123 (talk) 14:09, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Xasazx123, sorry for the late response. I have changed black to dark skin (which he undoubtedly has in any depiction). There are sources describing him as moorish, so the term will remain. Best, Caius G. (talk) 16:56, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi 15! On February 15 you were nice enough to address some of the Request Edits for David Edwards at Talk:David Edwards (engineer)#Request Edits December 15, 2020. Another editor had previously asked for more sources and raised some issues. I have now posted some very thorough responses. I used that editor’s User Name in the post, and they have not responded. Do you have the time to take a look? Many thanks. PC7956 (talk) 22:33, 5 May 2021 (UTC)

Draft:Schools of Opportunity
Thanks for reviewing my article Draft:Schools of Opportunity a few days ago. The Wikipedia article was denied due to lack of 3rd party sources. You left me a note saying "The Washington Post is also not independent, because they seem to be somehow affiliated with the program, even though the fact that they announce the decision is not sourced by the inline citations provided?" I reviewed these sources and found that Valerie Strauss, the reporter that decided to publish the article is not affiliated with the organization, but the organization it's self wrote sections of the article. Does that count as a third party source? Again, many thanks for reviewing my article, I thought it was going to take months but you did it in a week, thanks! Justiyaya (talk) 13:57, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Justiyaya, thanks for quickly getting back to improving your draft and bringing this up. I was mistakenly assuming that the (unsourced) fact that the Washington Post announces the winners means that they sponsor it, given that media committing themselves to make announcements on behalf of another entity are usually affiliated with it, although exceptions, e.g., Rhodes Scholarship winners' media coverage in the US, exist. I will add some further comments on the draft itself for other editors who might not be aware of this discussion on my talk page. 15 (talk) 23:05, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
- No that was definitely my fault, the sentence that the Washington post announce the winners was basically a false claim by me. Justiyaya (talk) 02:49, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Does https://co.chalkbeat.org/2018/1/22/21104195/what-other-schools-can-learn-from-two-colorado-schools-of-opportunity count as a independent source? Justiyaya (talk) 03:14, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Nate Morris request
Hello! I've been reviewing various pages about Wikipedia's edit request process and came across your profile at WikiProject Edit requests. I'm hoping you might have a moment to assist me, or at least confirm I'm following the edit request process appropriately.
I'm a representative of Nate Morris, attempting to collaborate with editors to improve the Wikipedia article. Back in January, I shared a replacement draft article, and when no one responded, I added the edit request template in February. Still no replies, so in May I submitted a separate request for just one section, hoping the smaller content review would be easier on editors. I've still not received any assistance, so I hope I'm following the process correctly.
I've tried reaching out to multiple individual editors and multiple WikiProjects. I saw you helped someone at WikiProject Edit requests and was wondering if you had a moment to review my request. Thanks for any consideration. All the best, MS rep 4 NMorris (talk) 23:57, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
- MS rep 4 NMorris, no worries and thank you for using the edit request process. There is unfortunately a big backlog in the COI edit request queue, in part because working on it is not the most exciting thing in the world. Your request looks fine formatting wise, so you don't have to worry about that, but I'll have a proper look at it within the next few days. Best, 15 (talk) 00:03, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
Editing news 2021 #2
Read this in another language • Subscription list for this newsletter
Earlier this year, the Editing team ran a large study of the Reply Tool. The main goal was to find out whether the Reply Tool helped newer editors communicate on wiki. The second goal was to see whether the comments that newer editors made using the tool needed to be reverted more frequently than comments newer editors made with the existing wikitext page editor.
The key results were:
- Newer editors who had automatic ("default on") access to the Reply tool were more likely to post a comment on a talk page.
- The comments that newer editors made with the Reply Tool were also less likely to be reverted than the comments that newer editors made with page editing.
These results give the Editing team confidence that the tool is helpful.
Looking ahead
The team is planning to make the Reply tool available to everyone as an opt-out preference in the coming months. This has already happened at the Arabic, Czech, and Hungarian Wikipedias.
The next step is to resolve a technical challenge. Then, they will deploy the Reply tool first to the Wikipedias that participated in the study. After that, they will deploy it, in stages, to the other Wikipedias and all WMF-hosted wikis.
You can turn on "Discussion Tools" in Beta Features now. After you get the Reply tool, you can change your preferences at any time in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion.

Question for you
Hey 15. Recently, you placed a PROD on Steamship Authority cyberattack. I am writing a book about how Wikipedia editors are handling the cyberattack + the article. Would you be comfortable sharing with me how you found the cyberattacks article? Were you reading another article and discovered it? Did you already have it bookmarked before today and just decided today to PROD it? ect...
Don't feel like you have to respond, because you don't. If you did respond, I would add that information into the book. Thank you for reading and a thank you for any possible responses you decide to give. Elijahandskip (talk) 00:10, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Elijahandskip, I believe I came across it when reading about the Colonial Pipeline cyber attack. Good luck with your book, although I still do not believe the event to be notable and might bring it to AfD soon. 15 (talk) 12:39, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Verifiability
Is a core principle. Editors should in the first place attach RS refs. That's where the responsibility lies. --2603:7000:2143:8500:C1DD:B397:3F1C:8CDE (talk) 22:33, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
- Looking for references should come before removing and is easy to do, particularly if it is the second hit if you google a couple of words [1]. 15 (talk) 00:56, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- That is not the wp rule. You are free to do it. But not correct when you assert what others "should" do. You are either misstating wp policy, or stating your personal subjective preference as a "should." Please read wp:burden. And please don't engage in, or support those who engage in, adding unverified material to wp. --2603:7000:2143:8500:B4E4:B37B:11B0:7E4D (talk) 05:09, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- That I do so should be obvious, if I believed it to be policy, I would have left out the "should". Nowhere do I support adding unverified material, I support adding material and adding sources. Are you really getting so upset over being reverted and told to look for a source next time? I think we are both wasting our time here. 15 (talk) 12:01, 5 July 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 93% Club
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 93% Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read! Talk! 01:40, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
93% Club has been nominated for Did You Know
Hello, 15. I've nominated 93% Club, an article you either created or to which you significantly contributed, to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page as part of Did you know. You can see the hook and the discussion here. You are welcome to participate! Thank you. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:29, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- You are too kind! Thank you for improving the article and nominating it for DYK. It was very bare-bones and rushed when created, so the nom comes as a pleasant surprise for sure! 15 (talk) 16:34, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
DYK for 93% Club
On 15 August 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 93% Club, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 93% Club has been described as "the reverse Bullingdon Club"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/93% Club. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 93% Club), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Henley & Partners
Hi 15! We were recently chatting at Talk:Henley & Partners#Resolving UPE issues, where I proposed a UPE-free version of the article and then incorporated your two helpful comments into that draft. I would really appreciate it if you could go ahead and implement the proposed changes, so we can hopefully take a big step closer toward cleaning up this mess for good.
After that's done, I would love to move on to the Christian Kälin article and put it through the same treatment. I hope these steps will set the stage for both these articles to expand and improve following the proper avenues. Thanks, Sarah Nicklin (talk) 08:25, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- Sarah Nicklin, thanks for following up on this. I've commented at Talk:Henley & Partners and am happy to help out at Christian Kälin too. 15 (talk) 22:01, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi 15, hope you're doing well. I've created a similar "clean" draft for Christian Kälin at User:Sarah Nicklin/Christian Kälin. Please take a look and let me know if I can go ahead and make these changes, as I did for the H&P article. Thanks, Sarah Nicklin (talk) 12:31, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- Sarah Nicklin, thanks, I will be taking a look shortly. Sorry for not coming back to you earlier. 15 (talk) 13:54, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Just checking to make sure Talk:Henley & Partners#Criticism section and Talk:Christian Kälin#Resolving UPE issues are still on your radar. I have more ideas for improving both articles, but I'd rather not make any further suggestions until the above two open discussions are closed. Thanks, Sarah Nicklin (talk) 09:04, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Request for assistance at Citrix Workspace
Hello, 15! Thank you for assisting with my request at Talk:Accenture. I wonder if you'd be willing to review another request of mine at Talk:Citrix Workspace? I originally posted the request in early June to slightly expand the existing stub based on third-party coverage of the software. I've reached out to WikiProject Technology, WikiProject Software, and a couple individual editors who previously responded to similar requests, but I haven't received any feedback yet. WikiCup 2021 September newsletter
The fourth round of the competition has finished with over 500 points being required to qualify for the final round. It was a hotly competitive round with two contestants, The Rambling Man and Epicgenius, each scoring over 3000 points, and six contestants scoring over 1000. All but one of the finalists achieved one or more FAs during the round, the exception being Bloom6132 who demonstrated that 61 "in the news" items produces an impressive number of points. Other contestants who made it to the final are Gog the Mild, Lee Vilenski, BennyOnTheLoose, Amakuru and Hog Farm. However, all their points are now swept away and everyone starts afresh in the final round.
Round 4 saw the achievement of 18 featured articles and 157 good articles. Bilorv scored for a 25-article good topic on Black Mirror but narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final round. There was enthusiasm for FARs, with 89 being performed, and there were 63 GARs and around 100 DYKs during the round. As we start round 5, we say goodbye to the eight competitors who didn't quite make it to the final round; thank you for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia, and we hope you will join us again next year. For other contestants, remember that any content promoted after the end of round 4 but before the start of round 5 can be claimed in round 5. Remember too that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them.
If you are concerned that your nomination, whether it be for a good article, a featured process, or anything else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Sturmvogel 66 and Cwmhiraeth. On 24 September 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article John U. Monro, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. New Citrix request
Hello, 15! I have a new edit request at Talk:XenMobile on behalf of Citrix Systems. In short, the article is pretty outdated at this point (the title XenMobile itself refers to the product's former name), so I put together a draft that pares the article down to a stub and uses the product's new name, Citrix Endpoint Management. More details are on the request itself on the article Talk page, if you have the interest. I appreciate your consideration. Inkian Jason (talk) 18:44, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

Mark Bradford help
Hi 15, I was hoping you might take a look at my edit request at Talk:Mark Bradford. The article currently follows no logical order, so I've arranged it chronologically. Joe Gebbia title correction
Hello! Based on some of your posts at WikiProject Edit Requests, I am hoping you might be able to assist me with a fairly simple edit request at Talk:Joe Gebbia, which I've submitted on behalf of Airbnb. In short, I'm trying to correct Joe Gebbia by adding mention of his current roles. A couple editors assisted with the infobox request but seem uninterested in reviewing the most recent suggestion for the article body. One editor prefers to see sourcing which confirms when his role changed, but I don't agree the date is needed to clarify his current and former roles. Might you be able to take a look?
