- ... that in The New York Times Simulator, players must keep the rich, the police, and Israel happy?
- ALT1: ... that The New York Times Simulator was inspired by its creator's frustration with media coverage of the Israel–Hamas war? Source: 1

- Comment: Under 5 noms, no QPQ required. It doesn't seem to me that WP:DYKFICTION applies to gameplay, but in case it does I included ALT1 as a backup.

Number of QPQs required: 0. Nominator has fewer than 5 past nominations.

- The article is new enough, long enough, well-sourced, neutral and presentable. As the nominator has 5 or less DYK nominations, a QPQ is not required at this time. However, i note that alt0 is likely not interesting (WP:DYKINT) because in games like the Papa Louie series, its the player's responsibility to serve food to the best standards and also at a quick pace to keep the customer's happy. Good thing you provided an alternative hook. JuniperChill (talk) 00:37, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Notability?
[edit]I empathize with the motives behind the simulator, but in what way is it notable enough to merit an article? Presumably we don't create one for every game ever made and reviewed, so why this one?
If there's any documented significance to this game aside from "it exists," it should probably be added to the article. Without it, the article gives off promotional vibes. Ereb0r (talk) 10:38, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm a little confused by the questions on notability, with 1 2 3 4 (4 is a Harvard journalism lab, the others are reliable per WikiProject video games) the game clearly meets GNG. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 13:38, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Don't the subjects of Wikipedia articles need to clear some basic notability guidelines? This site is not an indiscriminate catalog of things whose only criteria for inclusion is that they exist. Or are games an exception to this?
- I'm asking because nothing in the actual body of the article, either now or at the time of the question, indicates that there's anything notable about the game. If the game really is notable - and I'm open to the possibility that there is - there should be some in-text mention of it right in the article, instead of being buried in the links. - Wikipedia does have criteria for notability! You can see WP:Notability and WP:GNG for more info. The sources I linked are meant to show that the subject of the article meets the general notability guideline. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 05:33, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Blatant propaganda in Wikipedia
[edit]How can this stuff go into DYK page? It's so obvious there's no point in a Wikipedia Simulator "game". 82.181.103.54 (talk) 23:00, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
