Assessment

[edit]

This article needs to be completely rewritten with sources etc... take a look at some other articles about freeware games like Nexuiz to get an idea! Yzmo talk 19:05, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Downdate

[edit]

Due a blunder of mine someone will need to restore the STK logo. I don't have the URL unfortunately. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Downdate (talkcontribs) 17:46, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changes

[edit]

I fixed a few problems with the article:

  • Removed citations to forum postings on a dead site (The Linux Game Tome).
  • Cited the project's FAQ for its history. I don't think anyone will have a problem with this.
  • Removed the Development section that served no real purpose except to repeat content from other sections and collect helpful URLs.
  • Moved applicable URLs into external links.
  • Removed a reference to Linux Format. There are two big problems with this: 1) it went to a forum posting that summarized the article; and 2) the official site indicates that SuperTuxKart was actually included on a DVD, and it did not actually have an article in the magazine. If my understanding is wrong, then someone can add this reference back, but it should be to the magazine itself, not a forum posting.
  • Standardized the dates and citations. The majority of the dates used were in European format, but the page itself had a "use mdy" template. In cases like this, I usually standardize based on the template. I checked the history of the article, and citation templates were used to add the first references. In addition, the majority of the references were using citation templates. I standardized on citation templates.
  • Added a few references. I think notability has been established, but I admit that it seems a bit iffy. I'll see if I can find another reliable source or two.
  • Various copy edits and style fixes.
  • I also upgraded the article from stub to start class.
