proposed merge

[edit]

Back in Feb, someone proposed this article get merged into one about a different Star Trek game from the early 1970s. I see two problems: one is that it's a different game. Not directly related at all. This game is like a text adventure, that one is based around a visual display of positions. The other problem is that whoever proposed the merge did it in February and didn't write anything here about why it should happen. It's june now, I'm pulling the merge template. -- Akb4 05:09, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

stop playing trek on MY VMSCluster

[edit]

In the late 80s I managed a VMSCluster for ProPress. One employee, Steve McDowell liked to play 'Trek'. I didn't like that. So I made a copy of OPCRASH.EXE and renamed it to TREK.EXE, and plopped it into Steve-Os directory. Later that day....one of the nodes in the cluster up and crashes. Dave (my boss) comes to me and asks what happened. I show him the dump. "Steve was running TREK and it crashed the system." Dave didn't like that. I think Steve is digging fence-post holes for a living today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.67.104.4 (talk) 18:07, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
