Sol Press website

[edit]

I cited the tweet because it was essentially a press release about the website going down, and the tweet was from Sol Press themselves, so it wasn't someone making things up on Twitter. I'm not a wiki-lawyer, but it seems right to me, so I'm going to revert the revert. 2600:8800:7000:33:1A31:BFFF:FEDE:24AD (talk) 05:29, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Did some additional checking, although I'm not sure if any of it can be added to the article: Seems that the site has actually been down since around August 2, 2021, so it's been more than a month now: https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/998/sol-press-discussion-thread/422?lang=en-US&page=22 I checked the WHOIS on https://www.eurodns.com/whois-search/co-domain-name, which has Updated Date: 2021-08-09T15:47:39Z. I'm unsure if that's relevant, though. Additionally, another site of theirs, https://pantypress.com, now has an expired Let's Encrypt security certificate (8/26/2021) and has become inaccessible (apparently it was still up on August 5, 2021 per the j-novel.club link above. Note: Let's Encrypt certificates expire after 90 days if not renewed: https://letsencrypt.org/docs/faq/ Their Facebook and YouTube pages haven't had new content for over a year, and supposedly the Discord staff doesn't even know what's going on. 2600:8800:7000:33:1A31:BFFF:FEDE:24AD (talk) 20:31, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

“Company Ruined After Localization Disaster” is a youtube video going into more details about what happened to Sol Press. I’m not sure if it can be used as a source but it many provide a basis for some additional digging. TL;DW: their CEO disappeared (and is the only one who can access the company’s financials) leaving everyone hanging. 173.30.132.225 (talk) 14:21, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
