Section "Plot"

[edit]

It doesn't seem to give the actual plot, it's more of a character description. Someone with a better memory of the game should kindly add a plot synopsis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.178.116.239 (talk) 09:40, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Body-specific hitzones

[edit]

Body Specific Hitzones - SiN was one of the first shoot-em-ups to have a body specific hitzone. A headshot would do more damage than a body shot, which would in turn do more damage than a leg shot.

That's pretty sketchy, since Goldeneye 007 had "body-specific hitzones" as well. And it was made the previous year. I'm removing this comment for now. --128.146.68.89 05:35, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was still "one of the first" games to have this feature, regardless. However, rather more importantly I think, SiN was one of the first games featured visible body damage to specific parts of the body, meaning you could see damage done to only certain parts of the body when you shot people (like shooting someone in the face elicits a bullet hole between the eyes, etc). Either way, I believe the statement is still somewhat significant enough to stay. MarphyBlack 19:49, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SiN Steam Edits

[edit]

I don't mean to self-promote myself, but I am adding a link to my SiN Steam Edits page as I think I'm the only one who has actually documented all the skin/texture changes in the Steam version is SiN. If anyone has any objections to this I'd be very willing to oblige to any requests to remove it. MarphyBlack 19:49, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rename article

[edit]

This article should be renamed. The official capitalization of the game's name is 'SiN', not 'Sin'. Can't do it myself: Wikipedia complains about not-being-able to do the move. --DanielPharos (talk) 19:21, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No because of WP:NC#Lowercase.--SRX 15:18, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But wouldn't that mean the capital L on Half-Life (video game) should be removed too? And Counter-Strike: Source? Or better: SimCity (series) --DanielPharos (talk) 15:25, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, wrong one. I meant WP:NC#Use standard English for titles even if trademarks encourage otherwise.--SRX 15:33, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointed that out to me; I stand corrected. Also, Masem just pointed me to WP:MOSTM. I hereby withdraw my request. --DanielPharos (talk) 15:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reference material

[edit]

While digging through the online print archive, I located the following print preview material for this game:

One or more print reviews for this game may also be found in the archive. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 14:42, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's an article about Elexis Sinclaire now

[edit]

If anyone's interested in expanding it further. --Barry Sandwich (talk) 09:37, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What?

[edit]

One thing I hate about this video game is the lack of a police force, like the article says. Why would the police collapse due to ineffectiveness against the rising tide of crime? But I like that private security companies have taken the police's place. --68.103.27.24 (talk) 20:53, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
