Should we actually credit composers in the soundtrack list?
[edit]I think that the composers being added in the soundtrack list, while seeming like a good idea at first, actually clutters up the list way too much (especially when you can just click on each individual game to view the composers on the game’s Wikipedia page). Should we remove the composers column from the list to reduce its clutter? BenEmerald (talk) 01:44, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- I disagree. Having the composer info here is handy and informative, since the app doesn't credit any of them, and it prevents people from having to navigate to other articles to get composer information, something they're unlikely to do otherwise. Dogman15 (talk) 08:22, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- If they need the composer information, they could still just go to the game's page. If someone is unlikely to do that, then they don't need it. In the meantime, it's making the list 5x longer than it needs to be and will only get worse when Nintendo adds more OSTs. BenEmerald (talk) 20:36, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Longer? Don't you mean wider? Dogman15 (talk) 06:26, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

- I agree, the list is already busy, and will only get worse as it grows. It's also entirely unsourced, and will likely create arguments on how many members of the sound team should be included, etc. Sergecross73 msg me 12:19, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Why would you need citations for the composers, which are already listed in the infoboxes of the video games on their pages? Do those all need citations, too? Dogman15 (talk) 06:26, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- Per WP:V, everything needs to be sourced. If they're already listed at the game article, why do we need them listed here? Sergecross73 msg me 12:02, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- Because it makes the table look nice, and saves people having to make multiple clicks or open tabs. Dogman15 (talk) 21:36, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think it "looks nice", and again, they almost certainly are going to keep releasing soundtracks. It's going to get too busy very quickly. Sergecross73 msg me 22:36, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

Koji Kondo on SMW2: Yoshi's Island and Star Fox 64
[edit]Two cells with Koji Kondo in them appear on top of one another for these two games, on the SNES and N64. I attempted various methods to merge these two cells, but editing tables has never been easy for me, so if someone else could figure out how to merge them (as was done for Hirokazu Tanaka on Metroid and Dr. Mario), that would be great. Thanks in advance! Dogman15 (talk) 08:25, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
