The game's name

[edit]

Something I noticed after looking at the various versions of the game... the original arcade version technically uses a different title from what seems to be every conversion. Looking at the printed text on the arcade flyer, as well as printed text in the game itself, the term "Mousetrap" is used consistently. Meanwhile, all ports seem to use "Mouse Trap" just as consistently.

As for what this could mean for the article, I don't know. Considering WP:COMMONNAME, the various conversions would naturally have more exposure and thus would be mentioned more in this book or on that website. Because of that, should we should default to "Mousetrap" since it's the name of the original arcade game that this article uses as a base? 75.177.117.137 (talk) 05:06, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't say "consistently"; the cabinet itself has "MOUSE" and "TRAP" on two different lines on the marquee, and renders them as "MOUSE TRAP" on the control console. Bunnyhugger (talk) 18:05, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Die" item

[edit]

"a die with 'C A F' on the faces" -- how do we know that's meant to be a die rather than an alphabet block, which would make the letters more sensible? Bunnyhugger (talk) 23:17, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
