[edit]

Alright, I archived the old talk before the date on the signing of this comment. Now back to the article, should it be worth mentioning content not released yet in the NA version? By saying there's Demigods and Alchemy is false on the NA server and can be invalid and not true if someone is researching this game. If anyone needs a Wiki on the game, I recommend wiki.mabinogiworld.com LaughingReaper (talk) 05:45, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"should it be worth mentioning content not released yet in the NA version?"
If anything this wiki should not following NA content as a focus, it should follow the KR version content as they are the main branch of the game.
granted people who would read this are english speakers, it would just raise conflict with "should we list content not released in the europe version?" --97.101.176.146 (talk) 13:16, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The English wikipedia should center around english countries, the only thing I recommend is to keep this page up to date on the version with the furthest updates that also is primarily English, therefore we should keep this page updated to the NA version. If anyone wishes to contact me in-game, my IGN is Paladin on the Mari server. LaughingReaper (talk) 19:04, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. The article is about Mabinogi, not North American Mabinogi. It should follow the Korean service updates and possibly mention the other services. Being on the English Wikipedia should really have no relevance. I understand that it might be difficult to add that information or keep it up to date, but limiting the content to the NA version is misleading. 0cm (talk) 00:23, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you include one version, you would have to include them all, making long sections for content that isn't available is silly, and will make this article longer than it needs to be, find a way to do it. In a sandbox.LaughingReaper (talk) 01:53, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Character creation

[edit]

When I created a new character on Mabinogi, my human has already gone to Qilla Base Camp, Nao gave me an option to start my new character in either Uladh (Tir) or Iria (Qilla). Should the section about character creation be changed? --Heckzu (talk) 03:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Transformation Skills

[edit]

It hardly seems necessary for there to be this much information on all of the transformation skills. That's the kind of information you'd find in a player's guide or the wiki dedicated to the game. The transformation skills section should be summarized with only the information that would be useful to someone who hasn't started playing yet. A much better method than giving all of this page-bloating information that only helps people who play the game, and even then not very much, on this wikipedia article would be to write a very short summary of the transformations in general, and include reference footnotes that link to the applicable page on the Mabinogi World Wiki. This would save space, and make the article more helpful. --Strongbad9405 (talk) 08:11, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously needs editing

[edit]

The "History of Mabinogi" section needs some serious editing. It's littered with grammatical errors and is frankly way too long. The entire, unabridged history of a video game world is not suitable for inclusion, especially since much of the information in this section (and in the subsequent section "North American version updates") is no longer relevant. There is a great deal of information about parts of the game that have since been changed or removed.

Honestly, the rest of the article isn't much better when it comes to grammatical errors and unnecessary information. I'd help by editing it, but I don't know enough about the game to decide exactly what is relevant and what isn't. I DO know that there is a lot more information than needed. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Parts of this article read like some sort of strategy guide, rather than an encyclopedia entry. -Rycr (talk) 08:40, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bizarre sentence in trade description

[edit]

"A trade system based on William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice." deserves a prize for nonsense video game claims. Is the currency flesh?
