Do you have any sources to back up the claims that these episodes were planned but cancelled? Aviationwikiflight (talk) 20:08, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Reddit is an unreliable source as its reliability has been discussed by Wikipedia editors at WP:RSN multiple times. It shouldn't be used in the article. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:49, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Season 25

[edit]

Guys, let's please not start an edit war over season 25 content. I know it can be fustrating when your edits get reverted, but User:Aviationwikiflight does have a point. A promo video is considered original research and are generally unreliable. You are more than welcome to discuss the matter here and gain a consensus. Thank you. @FONHJKKKK what episode is coming out in Canal D anyway? Vadno (talk) 12:28, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We get the episodes from National Geographic. Canal D is a separate Broadcast. FONHJKKKK (talk) 20:52, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

11th episode?

[edit]

This is quite interesting...

ref>"Programmation" (in French). National Geographic France. Retrieved 13 February 2025.</ref>

On this website, it says that there will be an 11th episode of Season 25. I previously reverted it because I thought it might be a red herring, as Season 25 is supposed to contain 10 episodes, not 11. I have not seen anything on Cineflix or any other Nat Geo website to suggest an 11th episode is possible. What do you guys think? FONHJKKKK (talk) 21:30, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NatGeo Czechia has an eleventh episode with the title of "Blokovaný Východ" listed under Season 25. Additionally, NatGeo Denmark and NatGeo Hungary have an empty eleventh episode slot in the same season. Now why this eleventh episode is being added at the last minute is a good question, but the fact that three National Geographic episode listings have it listed makes me confident that there will be an eleventh episode in Season 25. (Also I know of insider information that confirms an eleventh episode but obviously can't post proof here). RandomInfinity17 (talk - contributions) 04:34, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATENatGeo Sweden has the LAX runway collision "Ingen Utväg" as the eleventh episode. RandomInfinity17 (talk - contributions) 15:13, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
But even though it's on Nat Geo France, Czech, Sweden and Denmark, it could still be a programming error on the part of Nat Geo. The official Cineflix page does not list a possible episode 11 and it's not on Finland or Dutch as of now. I think we should wait until there is "hard, physical" confirmation of an extra episode to the regular 10. I have not heard an official statement from neither Nat Geo nor Cineflix and as Felix202 previously said "On the official Cineflix page it officially appears only 10 episodes, perhaps it is a fault of NatGeo F France, in Latin America Sometimes the same thing happens, they get the number of episodes aired wrong". This could easily be a hoax. FONHJKKKK (talk) 00:03, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, a programming error created a unique title and description for a non-existing episode. Plane'n Boom1 (talk) 00:59, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also think about it the same, in Latin America this type of error happens a lot and that is why I am not surprised that this has happened, because two weeks ago National Geographic Latin America published Promo from season 25, but when the first episode was released it was not dubbed into Spanish, but only had subtitles in the original language, and later They confirmed that it was a preliminary version before the episodes were already dubbed, it is a rather strange situation since it had never happened in previous seasons in Latin America. At the moment I think the same, it must be a programming error, the best thing would be to wait for conclusive proof before acting or editing the article. Felix202 (talk) 12:02, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I also remember the last time such an error occurred was back in 2010 when Nat Geo erroneously programmed the Season 9 episode "Beach Crash" to be Northwest Airlines Flight 5 (1990), but it was eventually confirmed to be Chalk's Ocean Airways Flight 101. I'm not saying Nat Geo is unreliable, but it shows that mistakes do happen and this is a prime example. FONHJKKKK (talk) 11:28, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@NBS13QRS and Fadedreality556: The 11th episode is widely reported on reliable National Geographic channels. Just because some channels haven't listed it yet is not a reason to remove it. NatGeo Romania, NatGeo Denmark, NatGeo Czechia (lists an eleventh episode although it doesn't have a description), NatGeo Sweden, and NatGeo Hungary all have this listed, reliable sources back this 11th episode up. RandomInfinity17 (talk - contributions) 03:39, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, don't include me in this. All I was trying to do was add the episode back but I didn't want to do it manually. I reverted the wrong edit, so I reverted my edit to fix it. Fadedreality556 (talk) 11:19, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@FONHJKKKK: I'm not going to revert your edit quite yet but I want you to understand that it is extremely unlikely that 6 separate National Geographic pages all have a "programming error," that programming error being an entirely new episode. Again, just because some channels have not added the 11th episode doesn't mean it doesn't exist. RandomInfinity17 (talk - contributions) 23:44, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is clear that this is a very confusing and unusual development and is causing tensions among us. I'm not trying to throw punches, but I'm trying to explain that we should wait until there is "undeniable proof" that they will be an 11th episode in Season 25. I know it's on multiple Nat Geo websites, but once there is more concrete evidence, the 11th episode will be added back on because the show normally airs 10 episodes nowadays each season. I don't see the 11th episode on the Cineflix Program Overview website and I'm saying that the best way to end this dispute is to sit down and talk. I am open for consensus and we can't just add potentially questionable content and walk away assuming it's right. Black is not white and lot of people think that way. FONHJKKKK (talk) 23:37, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Episode 11 has already been confirmed by another National Geographic source, National Geographic South Africa titled it "No Exit" [1] Felix202 (talk) 22:49, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That does sound a bit more plausible, although I still do not see any images or previews about this "11th episode" because it was never announced by Cineflix during pre-production. I'd say for now, this evidence remains speculative and Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. FONHJKKKK (talk) 23:00, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
