Quotation marks as part of the title

[edit]

The user Y2kcrazyjoker4 has argued that the quotation marks, as shown on the cover and quoted in various articles reporting on the album, should be considered part of the title a la "Heroes" (David Bowie album) and that they are not decorative. I considered them likely to be removed or considered a stylization, so I created the article here, at Let's Rock, without quotation marks, and made a note that the title is "stylized with quotation marks". I have opened this discussion for Y2kcrazyjoker4 so an edit war or further disagreement through reverting can be avoided. Y2kcrazyjoker4, please discuss here and gain consensus for your changes before restoring the quotation marks. (I did not include the quotes in my initial text of the article, and they were only initially added to the infobox by Y2k, which made the article inconsistent. The rest of the article did not feature them in instances of the title.) Thank you. Pitchfork and Rolling Stone both gave the album title italicized with quotes and made a point to clarify that is indeed how the album title is supposed to be. I suspect the quotes are there because the band are directly quoting a death row inmate who said "Let's rock" as his final words, instead of stating the phrase in their own words. • No quotes - We dont generally title articles according to stylizations. (See Kesha, Korn, etc.) Unless there’s sourced commentary about the importance of the quotes, I don’t think they particularly even need to be pointed out. Sergecross73 msg me 19:05, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I believe stylizations are not to be shown in the title of the article or within the opening paragraph, but I do think they should appear within the infobox title. --Jordan8396.ja (talk) 17:28, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
