Quality of this article
[edit]This game is quite popular and seems to be well-made, so the low quality and low priority in this article is somewhat surprising. DriftWrench2k (talk) 15:54, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
Story Section Length
[edit]I haven't made it through the story of the game myself, but it seems like too much to have all of that story there. It feels like too much weight to put on the story when the story isn't really a large part of the game.DriftWrench2k (talk) 20:22, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
The story section is now much more concise, but it lacks the majority of storyline. If someone actually has played those parts, it would not be insignificant to add those details, and can be shortened later if necessary. DriftWrench2k (talk) 01:21, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
Ive thought about reaching out to the person who predominantly edits it and talk about expressive writing and formatting, but realisitcally we're at a point where it should be deleted and replaced with summaries of the arcs and story structure, without getting into any detail. But, in the following month the devs have announced plans to streamline the story and splice it into more concise arcs, which serves our purpose. Thus, refactoring will be done after those changes. Reception and Development
[edit]I plan to be adding to these sections soon. I have some information that is not yet incorporated from my sandbox to here.
Additions to this article in the past month; Current Goal
[edit]Some things were added by a fellow editor that do not follow Wikipedia's guidelines for what should and should not be covered, esp. under WP:UNDUE and also because Wkipedia articles should not be written like a guide WP:NOT. Therefore, some paring down is necessary to improve the article. If there are ideas for improvement by removing parts, it could be useful to give that input. The current goal right now is to pare down the parts that give too much information. In particular, because the storyline is allowed to be (unopinionated) original research, I am playing the story stages of the game to get an understanding of the plot so as to be able to better summarize the large amount of text that is there now.
Infobox cover art
[edit]This article should use the game's cover art instead of the logo, per the policy-based rationale I explain at Talk:Genshin Impact § Why don't this article use the game's cover art in the infobox?. — Goszei (talk) 07:03, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
Just for clarity. Unlike Genshin, Honkai was a "mobile first" game, and thus it does not feature a "cover art" as the one Genshin does for (e.g.) the PlayStation. In other words, to be inline with common policy, this article should use the next best thing, which is the App Icon art? Browseitall (talk) 11:32, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
