Fair use rationale for Image:CEPOL logo.png
[edit]Image:CEPOL logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The result of the move request was: Not moved, at least for now. If I may make a suggestion, a redirect from the new title to the old should be too controversial (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 17:31, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
European Police College → European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training – The REGULATION (EU) 2015/2219 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 25 November 2015 on the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) and replacing and repealing Council Decision 2005/681/JHA changes CEPOL's name from the European Police College to the European Union agency for Law Enforcement Training as from 1 July 2016. Apariente (talk) 08:24, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. This change of official name is almost irrelevant in terms of our article naming policy. The new name is unlikely to ever replace the old in English usage, and no evidence has been offered that it has. Andrewa (talk) 13:40, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: No consensus - Not much development after previous RM was closed. Discussion on new proposed name may be started afresh (non-admin closure) Yashovardhan (talk) 10:06, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
European Police College → European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training – Since 1 July 2016, the date of its new legal mandate, CEPOL’s official name is “The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training”. EU explained (talk) 16:57, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). TonyBallioni (talk) 23:51, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- EU explained, sending this to a RM since a previous one failed. TonyBallioni (talk) 23:51, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- TonyBallioni, thanks for bringing this to my attention. My thoughts on this are that the official page name should change to the new rebrand, as that is the legal name of the agency. There is no "European Police College" within any EU legal documents. We can keep European Police College as a redirect page. The other option is to do as has been done with the Europol page, and utilise its acronym as the page name, in this case "CEPOL". However, its name change and rebranding is all over its website and as a consequence I am loath to go keep the previous name. It's misleading. EU explained (talk) 15:40, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose the proposed move as not common enough (only 4 Google News hits) but support CEPOL as the apparent WP:COMMONNAME.[1]--Cúchullain t/c 14:08, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
