Does this need a separate article?
[edit]I'm reading this[1] and it says that almost nothing is changed from the original game. Does this really need a separate article or can it be handled in a short section or two? Archrogue (talk) 19:03, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
- Its development has already been subject to multiple independent articles, more than some entire games get in their full lifetimes. It should be handled summary style in its parent article as well, yes. czar 02:12, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Should Vicarious Visions be listed as developers?
[edit]So this is a bit of a weird question, but Vicarious Visions has been "merged" into Blizzard and is not listed anywhere on the Resurrected website. Their studio head is now EVP of Development at Blizzard. So they seem to now no longer be an independent, separate studio, but part of Blizzard Entertainment. So should they be listed now that they are no longer their own entity and aren't listed as developers? SharkyIzrod (talk) 12:03, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- The reporting around the transfer/merger of VV into Blizzard is spotty and inspecific to exactly how VV is now involved at Blizzard; it's not clear if its been merged and completely absorbed or if it stands alone. That said, we know now from the interview with J. Allen Brack that VV spent about two years while they were at Activision working on it, so it is 100% fair game to include them as a developer on it, but they should be listed after Blizzard. --Masem (t) 14:04, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Unwarranted comments in reception
[edit]I removed a line that "audience reception is overwhelming poor."
That's not consistent with the scores online or with my personal experience. If anything the audience reception has been quite positive. Whether the game is good or bad is obviously subjective to a degree, but the statement reception was "overwhelming poor" is objectively false.
Somebody also put in a line about launch server bugs, I didn't remove this as its technically true, but the launch issues didn't seem particularly bad to me, almost every game has issues on launch day, they seem to have resolved them rather quickly, anybody else have an opinion on this, mentioning it almost seems like nitpicking? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.244.228.85 (talk) 15:16, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's coverage is proportionate to the reliable source coverage. In this case, there is plenty of coverage of server issues on launch but nothing major that I've found on poor audience (which?) reception. czar 15:24, 2 October 2021 (UTC)

only released on pc so far
[edit]the biggest stores have it as pre-purchase only(gamestop) or is still waiting for it(platekompaniet). gamezone in norway had not even heard of the console versions of it, only the pc version. 84.212.107.130 (talk) 22:52, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

The game is released so the tense of this statement: "A single-player beta period will precede the release." should be changed to past tense: "A single-player beta period preceded the release." 50.89.64.185 (talk) 17:39, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Forced sign in to even be able to play offline
[edit]Since this problem (yes, it is a problem) is affecting multiple platforms (PS4 confirmed today by me), judging by Blizzard intentionally putting it in there, and a new "feature" of this version of the game that is different than the original D2, shouldn't this be mentioned in this article? 32.212.102.239 (talk) 16:51, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

it should be listed as a remake and not as a remaster
[edit]here is the thing: it is built from the ground up, using unreal engine 4. unless it is unreal engine 5. a remaster is a version that is upscaled while using the same engine. when they use a new engine, it is automatically a remake. 84.208.108.74 (talk) 10:03, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
