Fair use rationale for Image:Buffy- Wrath of the Darkhul King (Video Game).jpg
[edit]Image:Buffy- Wrath of the Darkhul King (Video Game).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A handful more sources not currently used
[edit]Listing these here for posterity since I don't see them used. (All on the reliable chart on WP:VG/S.)
- Scalzo, John (2003). "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Wrath of the Darkhul King GBA review". UGO. Archived from the original on April 30, 2004.
- Play. September 2003. p. 81.

While unlisted on VG/S, there was another print publication, which is always interesting for us:
- Pocket Games. No. 13. Fall 2003. p. 43.
{{cite magazine}}

- Thank you for the citations. I will start looking through them and incorporating them into the article over the week. Aoba47 (talk) 16:13, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Izno: I have added in the Nintendojo and UGO citations, but I am uncertain about the Play and Pocket Games as I am unable to find full access to either sources to fully complete the citation. Do you have access to either? I think a majority of my work will be focused on the "Critical reception" section, which I admit is a mess. Aoba47 (talk) 18:48, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- I do not. You can maybe leave a request at WT:VG or the reference request desk. (I don't know what's in them to know whether they are important.) --Izno (talk) 19:33, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response, and that sounds like a good idea to me. I'll do sometime later this week or next week. Aoba47 (talk) 19:39, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

I didn't do a thorough search, but I think this site plans on uploading scans of the magazines. Unfortunately, it's missing the 13th issue. PanagiotisZois (talk) 22:17, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the resource. Maybe one day, it will uploaded. Aoba47 (talk) 22:21, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Of course. As for the Play magazine, the problem is that there's both an American and British magazine, so it's kind of hard to figure out which one spoke of the game. PanagiotisZois (talk) 22:28, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- It is probably the British magazine, but I am not 100% sure. Aoba47 (talk) 22:40, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Post-peer review
[edit]re: your message, looks like the peer review closed really fast! Have you seen Wikipedia:Copyediting reception sections? It was written to help with the question you had about Reception sections. (not watching, please {{ping}}
) czar 00:52, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link. I decided to close it earlier than I had originally planned as I was getting somewhat overwhelmed. That essay is helpful, and I will definitely consult it in the future. Aoba47 (talk) 00:55, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: I was surprised to see it closed too. I was planning on adding some other concerns (as I only really went over the first half), so if I have any more, I'll leave them here and ping you. For starters, the infobox caption:
"An image of a young blonde woman imposed over a dark red background that includes a demon."
- Is this "young blonde woman" Buffy? If so, why doesn't it say so? If not, I think specifying that she's blonde is rather obvious. Additionally, is the demon related to The Gentleman in any way? Or just a generic demon. This could be specified too. Le Panini Talk 12:45, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Le Panini: I have replaced it. I am never quite sure what to put for ALT text as I have received contradictory messages over the years. I was uncertain if putting the names would be helpful for someone who has never watched the show before. And the demon is one of the Gentlemen, which is a little odd because they are very minor in this game.
- Apologies for closing the peer review earlier than expected. I was unaware that you were planning on coming back to it. I had closed it because I was getting rather overwhelmed and stressed, and I wanted to take a break for a little bit. Feel free to add any advice on how to improve the article here, and I will try my best to address everything. Thank you in advance! Aoba47 (talk) 18:32, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- Aoba47, Although they're un-introduced, it gives a pointer on who's important. Take PMTOK for example
"The cover art, featuring Mario (left) and Olivia (right) in front of Peach's Castle."
Le Panini Talk 18:49, 7 December 2020 (UTC)- I understand your point. My main concern is if ALT text is intended to help visually impaired readers who use screen readers and if they never heard of Buffy or the Gentlemen or know what they look like, I am not sure how helpful the ALT text be. Also, it is pretty clear from the title of the game that Buffy would be important, and the Gentlemen actually only make a minor appearance in the game (as a boss and imo a poorly done reference to the show). I do not have a strong opinion either way, but I am always confused by ALT text. Aoba47 (talk) 18:55, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

@Le Panini: @Czar: Apologies for the ping. I have revised the article and put it up for another peer review. Apologies for all of the back-and-forth. Since my experience with my video game articles has been so limited, I had felt rather intimidated when preparing one for a potential FAC (even when it is a rather obscure game like this one). I completely understand if you do not have the time or interest, but I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Unlike my previous peer reviews, I intend to keep this one open for a more appropriate length of time. I hope you both are doing well. Aoba47 (talk) 01:31, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
