War Hero or Heroes

[edit]

I noticed that here the title says War Hero while at both 1Up and this site it is hero. Is the article correct or was there a mistake or misunderstanding somewhere along the line. I want to make sure before I chance it since Heroes would be a better name but I have only found reliable sources for War Hero.

Just thought I would bring this up since I am now confused as to what the actual title is and the fact that only War Hero has a reliable source while I have yet to find one for Heroes despite the fact that it would be the better title..--Marchbaby 15:07, 16 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marchbaby321 (talkcontribs)

Since it has been 2 days with no response I am chaning it to Brothers in Arms War Hero until a source that is reliable says it is Brothers in Arms War Heroes.

According to Google the page was last updated the 13th of this month. It does not give any new information outside of confirming that Brothers in Arms War Hero is indeed the next Brothers in Arms title. Seeing as how no one has disproved the above link as flase I am going to re add the title to the article but put little is known at this time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marchbaby321 (talkcontribs) 15:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That web page gets updated each time you reload it in your web browser - look at the clock in the 2nd line, it is refreshed each time. Google says the page was refreshed on Feb. 13 but it only means that the last time the Google's web spider visited the page was at Feb. 13.
The reality is:
  • Gearbox hasn't confirmed that the phrase "Brothers in Arms War Hero" is going to be a title of any future product.
  • The page at UPSTO doesn't confirm that the phrase WILL be used as a title - it only confirms that Gearbox has registered a trademark in case they would like to use it in the future.
  • Gearbox also registered 3 other trademarks at the same time - so we can't even know which of them will be used as a game title.
  • Gearbox hasn't confirmed that they started any work on the next BiA title - they only said "War Hero is something down the road for us".
  • Lastly, it hasn't been revealed whether the new game will be a sequel to the main series or a spinoff - so we cannot decide in which section of the article we should place "War Hero". Not mentioning the fact that we don't know if it's gonna be a first-person shooter :)
So, I believe that the article's "Future" section covers everything that is currently known about "War Hero", and adding anything beyond that would be speculation. Therefore I'm intending to remove the "BiA War Hero" section again. Please respond, Marchbaby321. --Krótki (talk) 11:45, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The last one I will admit is true. However at least on of the other resigteered titles has already been dismissed the modern one leaving this and just war hero. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/borderlands/news.html?sid=6212556 This site is blocked it my school so I do not know if it has anything new but it does at least mention BIA War hero.

http://www.qj.net/qjnet/playstation-3/war-hero-ip-confirmed-by-gearbox.html

Again blocked in my school so I cannot tell if it adds anything new. http://current.com/items/90282984_gearbox-says-war-hero-is-a-future-project.htm This one is not blocked but it does say that the titles are real. http://kotaku.com/#!5302608/gearbox-president-says-war-hero-another-original-game?comment=13867987:13867987 Blocked again so I am not sure if it adds anything new. http://www.justpushstart.com/2010/09/07/brother-in-arms-modern-reboot/ http://www.nowgamer.com/news/4168/brothers-in-arms-to-get-modern-makeover http://www.qj.net/qjnet/games-for-windows/rumor-brothers-in-arms-getting-a-remake.html Not sure if the qj.net one is any good but I posted it just in case. http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/9125/gearbox-reveal-free-borderlands-dlc-has-more-brothers-in-arms

Again blocked so I do not know if it confirms anything although the Ubisoft page for some reason or another also lists BIA War Hero as well as the list of Unreal Engine games page.

Found a few more — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marchbaby321 (talkcontribs) 15:35, 23 February 2011 (UTC) Since most of the sites are blocked I cannot tell if they offer anything else so these are all I will add for now.--Marchbaby 15:08, 23 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marchbaby321 (talkcontribs) [reply]
