Requested move 4 August 2019
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved. Insufficient discussion here and lack of evidence that proposed article meets criteria, specifically common name in this instance, to support the move. Article has been moved back and forth a few times, unless usage of the name changes in future, I'd recommend things stay as they are until a more extensive discussion finds a solid consensus in the affirmative. - Summary of Move History: 8 Sep 2018 article was moved to "A Call to Action"; 11 Sep 2018, article was moved back to original title with the edit comment "WP:SUBTITLE is just a guideline, not a policy. Per WP:COMMONNAME, seems original name is a common name" --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:56, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- @142.161.83.66 and JJMC89: There are many calls to action. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:23, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Given the move history, this should be discussed. — JJMC89 (T·C) 01:53, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose (provisionally). No evidence has been provided that the shortened title is more commonly used. Indiscriminately chopping off subtitles en masse is going to confuse readers more often than it helps them. Colin M (talk) 23:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
