Three separate pages now exist for this topic, Severe weather sequence of July 13–16, 2024, July 2024 Midwest derecho, and July 15, 2024 Chicagoland tornado outbreak. I propose a WP:MERGE of them all into this main article. I had a previous malformed merge request, so please !vote on this section. GeorgeMemulous (talk) 12:44, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge – I mean, it makes sense. Give the notable parts their own sections. Poodle23 (talk) 20:12, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Merge as redundant. 100.38.117.204 (talk) 23:21, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Merge – Good Lord. Why are there so many articles about the same thing? ChessEric 20:43, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Merge, this is three steps up from Sulphur, no idea why the derecho article even exists Sir MemeGod :D (talk - contribs - created articles) 03:13, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by that? ChessEric 15:48, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge per others. 🌀 Hurricane Clyde 🌀 (talk) 19:54, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Despite the Andrew5 sock merge being undone (for obvious reasons). I’d like to request the merge to be done anyway since there is unanimous consensus. 🌀 Hurricane Clyde 🌀 (talk) 18:08, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I second this OnlyNanotalk 22:24, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:SNOW was not agreed upon, at least from reading over the discussion. Sir MemeGod :D (talk - contribs - created articles) 16:56, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what to do here. The merge has already been completed, and at this point it would be pointless to restart negociations. We have 6 supporting votes, one of which may have been left by a sock to be fair, and 0 opposing votes, and at this point, the snowball clause applies. See also WP:AVALANCHE. However, as socks had previously completed the merge, and it had been undone per WP:BMB, I'm not sure how to proceed. I asked at the help desk, and nobody responded. GeorgeMemulous (talk) 16:59, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll ask at WP:CR and explain the situation with the socks. GeorgeMemulous (talk) 17:02, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sir MemeGod: first, there's no requirement that SNOW needs to be agreed upon to be invoked. Second, the instructions at WP:MERGECLOSE literally say that a merge discussion can be closed by anyone (including an involved editor) if there's unanimous consensus:

Any user, including the user who first proposed the merge, may close the discussion and move forward with the merge if enough time (normally one week or more) has elapsed and there has been no discussion or if there is unanimous consent to merge.

Oh, well I guess didn't see that. Apologies, GeorgeMemulous. Sir MemeGod :D (talk - contribs - created articles) 17:59, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
