If there are any hurricane/typhoon/cyclone articles that you think should be created, list them here. It will go like this. Note: Not all of these will get an article. It is simply a list. Feel free to debate. Hurricanehink

No, due to lack of good info. Hurricane Eric
Agreed. It should just have a part in the deadly hurricanes page. Hurricanehink
Scratch what I said. It's one of the most recent 1,000+ death Atlantic storms. --♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:33, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will probably create this article soon. SMB99thx my edits 05:58, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I won't give my time to build this as I am very busy. @LowercaseGuy: I've seen that you worked on 1860's storms lately, you can work on this one. MarioJump83! 09:58, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see what can I do. LowercaseGuy chow! 06:01, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Since NC was created, I think only a Florida sub-article is warranted now. The effects weren't bad in Georgia, and that state didn't have the level of preps/cancelations/evacuations that Florida did. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:48, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. SMB99thx my edits 02:25, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
After some consideration, I agree. Though, the creation of this article might involve getting Hurricane Dorian into GA. SMB99thx my edits 03:49, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Storms

The following are landfalling hurricanes since 1966, some of which could possibly use articles, but others probably wouldn't have enough info. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:57, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is also the 1931 Santa Rosalía hurricane, which killed over 100 people per [1], although it might be too early to do effectively. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 19:27, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, I remember seeing that on the project request page, and I'm precisely worried about the time period. Then again, this had no problem finding information, although I do feel that Atlantic-side Mexican storms have more info. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:55, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Will do, if there is any data on it... MarioJump83! 10:07, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I oppose, only because it seems partially redundant to List of retired Pacific typhoon names. We don't usually include the replacement name choices, because they're not always/usually known, but also because it's a little bit trivial. As for meanings, that's usually covered in the individual article, so on the fence if we need an article for the meanings of typhoon names. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:40, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

These two are the last redirects that was touched by LTA Sidowpknbkhihj I believe could be turned into article. The next three, Eve (1999), Atsani (2015), and Nock-ten (2004) aren't really distinct. MarioJump83! 06:15, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hurricanehink:, @Destroyeraa: I think the creation of these articles, even if they are stubs, could help to deny Sidowpknbkhihj socks from keep adding their versions of these topics into Wikipedia. Main MO of Sidowpknbkhihj socks are to translate their creations from Japanese Wikipedia into English Wikipedia (and their creations are generally typhoons that affected Japan) - and once they do, they won't expand these articles at all. Sometimes, these articles disregard WP:MOS, which led me to clean up some of these articles. If we create them and actually expand these creations, that can help denying them of their work. SMB99thx my edits 04:46, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree most of these are doable articles, but we should aim for more than stubs to make them. Ideally they will have more content than what's in the season article (which should be easy, since most WPAC seasons are stubs). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:29, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thunderstorms and tornadoes

[edit]
@Hurricanehink Yeah I already had this discussion with Weatherwriter and EF5, we're gonna make a List of Oklahoma tornadoes and add a link to the Cleveland County article somewhere, probably the See Also section Apteryx!🐉 | Roar with me!!! 🗨🐲 21:52, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So there would be articles for the List of Olahoma tornadoes, the List of tornadoes in Cleveland County, and a List of tornadoes in Moore, specifically? That seems a bit too precise for my liking. Even having the county article seems questionable to me, when every other area is either a state, or more internationally, covered at the country or continent level. So how would you propose handling all of them? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:01, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just take all the valuable info and sources from the Cleveland County article, write the Oklahoma article, forget that ti was ever proposed to write an article about Moore, then merge Cleveland County into the Oklahoma article, or send it to AfD to meet it's end Apteryx!🐉 | Roar with me!!! 🗨🐲 22:03, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like an unnecessarily difficult round-robin. I get that Moore has been hit a few times by devastating tornadoes, but so have other cities in Oklahoma. I guess I'm wondering why all of this interest to focus only on Moore, when there isn't even an article for the whole state at this point. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:09, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's my point. We can make the article for the whole state and get rid of the Cleveland County article. If the Cleveland County article fails AfD then I'll put in a merge request to merge it into the Oklahoma article. I'm no longer making the Moore article, someone else can do it and link it to the Oklahoma article if they want. I plan to make the Oklahoma article tomorrow, but I already changed the name of the Moore article draft (I changed it to "list of Oklahoma tornadoes) so you can work on it too if you want. Apteryx!🐉 | Roar with me!!! 🗨🐲 22:13, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright I struck the suggestion for Moore. I'm in the middle of reviewing a GAN and working on another article, so I wish you luck working on a list as big as Oklahoma! I had a lot of difficulty even doing one state (even a fairly easy one), so I know it's gonna take a while, but I'm glad you have more of a state focus than just one particular city. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:17, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since Oklahoma has seen a massive number of tornadoes, I'm only going to do EF4+ tornadoes, with some exceptions because no one wants to know about every wimpy little EF0-EF2 wind noodle that spun around in a field for five minutes. This will lighten the workload on me, help it pass AfC, and I can just leave a list from the NWS in the Further Reading section that contains reports of the lower-rated tornadoes. Apteryx!🐉 | Roar with me!!! 🗨🐲 22:23, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
