Rumeshkan-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان رومشكان شرقي) is a former administrative division of the former Rumeshkan District of Kuhdasht County, Lorestan province, Iran.[3] Its capital was Chaqabol.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 19,418 in 4,055 households.[5] There were 21,587 inhabitants in 5,222 households at the following census of 2011.[2]

In 2013, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Rumeshkan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Chaqabol as its capital. Rumeshkan-e Sharqi Rural District was renamed Rumeshkan Rural District.[6]
