Jahanabad (Persian: جهان اباد)[a] is a village in Hemmatabad Rural District of the Central District of Borujerd County, Lorestan province, Iran.

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 4,115 in 979 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,837 people in 1,046 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 4,581 people in 1,337 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, Jahanabad was annexed by the city of Borujerd.[6]
