Alexandra Baker[1] is a British Labour and Co-operative Party politician serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Aldershot since 2024.
Early life and career[edit]
Baker studied at the University of Birmingham, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Technology and History of Art in 2006.
Baker began her career as a political and later Parliamentary officer for the Co-operative Party. She subsequently worked as a membership officer and later manager for The Co-operative Group.[2] Prior to her election to Parliament, she had worked in several community and sustainability roles on the Battersea Power Station regeneration project.[3]
Political career[edit]
Baker was elected as MP for Aldershot at the 2024 general election, defeating incumbent Conservative Leo Docherty.[4] She became the first non-Conservative to represent the constituency since its establishment in 1918.[5]

She has two children.[3]
