Request a Userbox?

Can I request that a Userbox be created? If so, I was hoping to have one made for Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/Africa where there are a few countries missing. I was hoping to request one specifically. Is this possible? Many thanks in advance. Outback the koala (talk) 01:40, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Sure if you don't want to make up a userbox then other editors can do it for you. I have made a number for other users. You just need to give some information on what it would be about and I'll see what I can do and post it back here. If you like it then it can be posted to Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/Africa - or wherever is appropriate. - Ahunt (talk) 01:47, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Can I request a Userbox to be created too? I really want one about the band Big Time Rush, but I have no clue how to create one. Help me? Iluvmarchingband <3 (talk) 18:03, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Sure I can do that for you. Any ideas on what it should say, or what image to use? The image File:Big Time Rush Band.jpg is available as public domain if you like that one! - Ahunt (talk) 01:43, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

A New Special Project Looking for Userbox

The A Special Project meant to commemorate the 150th anniversery of the Civil War is starting to organize. One of the things some in the project feel would be very helpful would be a user box for the project. Would someone in this project be willing to help us by designing a user box for the project. I attempted to design a userbox, but I though it was sub-par for the purpose of representing the project. I include it here for the purpose of illustrating what I had in mind.

If anyone is interested in helping us, design a decent userbox, please contact me at either my userpage or our project page. Best Regards, LeonidasSpartan (talk) 07:57, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

The userbox had been created and posted here. Forentitalk 09:13, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

United States Militias

I recently started the United States Militias working group for the Military History Wikiproject under the United States military history task force. If anyone could help with a userbox for this group, it would be much appreciated. Thanks,Tetobigbro talk 05:10, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Aircraft Fan Userboxes

I created a parameter-based box to replace several boxes on the aviation category and replaced all links. I don't know what is supposed to be done with the old ones, if anything, so I'm delegating that to someone else.
P.S. - Now I look like a bot. - Ana Sofia Paixão 11:40, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

OOPS! I Screwed Up...

I have created several Userboxes and they appear to be in the WRONG FORMAT! Please accept my apologies and I will correct this problem immediately.-- Avazina, an Unreconstructed Southerner 14:52, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Stats on userboxes

Are there stats about userboxes use? I.e. a list of all userboxes used more than, example, 10 times and a counter besides it saying how may times this is used? I know how to get a list of pages who transcluded a certain userbox such as this URL for the template User:UBX/male http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/User:UBX/male but how can I get it automatically for all templates? And with the number of pages transcluding it (possibly in the namespace User:)?

Thanks! phauly (talk) 10:12, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject Userboxes Userbox

Hi all..

I thought this was missing from the templates on the project page

This user has created 4 Userboxes on Wikipedia.

What do you think? Please add to the project page if you guys like it! Skibden (talk) 13:13, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

There is this one already:
This user has created 81 userboxes.
- Ahunt (talk) 15:08, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
In that case, it should still be added to the templates on the project page :P Skibden (talk) 15:48, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually there are lots of userboxes about userboxes and these are all gathered together at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Userboxes. I will add yours there as well. - Ahunt (talk) 16:10, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
I didn't see any about a user's willingness to make userboxes upon request so I made two and put them on Wikipedia:Userboxes/Userboxes as well.—  dain- talk   05:40, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Good idea! - Ahunt (talk) 12:21, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Userbox for Gex Wiki?

Please could you help? I'm trying to make a userbox telling that I'm the admin of the wiki but the templates on here don't work and I can't understand the instructions on making a new one. m w (talk) 22:01, 21 October 2010

No problem - I can make that up for you. What do you want it to say and do you have a free image that we could use in it? - Ahunt (talk) 00:25, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

As luck would have it I made a prototype yesterday.

m w (talk) 09:06, 22 October 2010

Actually userboxes are normally created on their own page and then transcluded to your user page (and others too if they want to use it). I can show you how to do that if you like. Also there are a few tricks to make the link text show up better on the dark background, that I can show you too. - Ahunt (talk) 13:46, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes please, any help would be much appreciated. m w (talk) 16:14, 24 October 2010 (GMT)

No problem. I have created it as a new page at User:Phthinosuchusisanancestor/Gex, so to put it on any page you now just need to add {{User:Phthinosuchusisanancestor/Gex}} and I have also changed the link text to white so it shows up better. It is in your user space now so feel free to change anything you like. I'll transclude it to your user page as well. - Ahunt (talk) 15:47, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Incidentally if you don't want your userboxes scattered over your user page there are several ways to organize them. You can have a look at my user page for one of those ways, although certainly not the only one! - Ahunt (talk) 15:51, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, though I tried putting that on my user page on Gex Wiki but all that appeared was "Template: Phthinosuchusisanancestor/Gex" in red writing, how do I fix this? m w (talk) 23:18, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Phthinosuchusisanancestor

Hmmm, since that wiki uses completely different software than the MediaWiki that Wikipedia runs on I am not sure, but I suspect you will definitely have to create the template over there and not just link it from here. - Ahunt (talk) 23:29, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
