@Jo-Jo Eumerus, your link goes to the book for me, not to a chapter. And it doesn't seem to be connected to the star. You may want to double check and/or clarify which of the chapters you want. (Unfortunately I can't access the content). —Kusma (talk) 20:26, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Pamirian folktales (in German)

  • Levin, Isidor. Märchen vom Dach der Welt: Überlieferungen der Pamir-Völker. Die Märchen der Weltliteratur. E. Diederichs Verlag, 1986. pp. 94-100 (Tale nr. 11, Sultan-scheckiger Hund); 120-128 (Tale nr. 15, Die drei Frauen des Padischah); 249 (classification for both tales); pp. 327ff Anmerkungen (only the commentaries on tales 11 and 15). ISBN 978-3-424-00883-8.

The first tale is for Animal as Bridegroom, since the book indicates it is a variant of Aarne-Thompson-Uther Index type 425B, Cupid and Psyche. The second tale is for The Dancing Water, the Singing Apple, and the Speaking Bird, a tale of type ATU 707.

KHR FolkMyth, is the second edition (1989), https://d-nb.info/890323623, fine as well? They have the same size (also page size), so I don't think the page numbers will be different. Might just be a reprint with a few typographic fixes. — Pajz (talk) 20:47, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking of this as more of an open-ended request for sources like this, that mention the topic. I don't think direct access to the files is needed. A list of citations will do. 2601:647:5800:1A1F:F4E8:3E1B:616:B8B3 (talk) 22:31, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For Eunice Newton Foote. Weird thing is the doi link says the article was published 26 August 2020, but in the March 2022 volume. Maybe one indicates on-line publication before print? I find the title in Research Gate, etc. but none have an accessible link. This link is accessible and dated August 2020, but is clearly marked as the pre-reviewed article, so it may or may not be what actually appeared in print.

Iranian and Arabic Folktales - A second request

[edit]

1.

For Animal as Bridegroom and The Tale of the Woodcutter and his Daughters (Egyptian folktale). I believe the tale is another Arabic variant, possibly Lebanese. Tale 12, Sitt Ward, and the Anmerkungen (Commentaries) for tale nr. 12. ITEM 1 HAS BEEN FULFILLED.

2.

  • Boulvin, Adrienne. Contes populaires persans de Khorassan Band 1. Contes populaires persans du Khorassan: Boulvin, A. Analyse thématique accompagnée de la traduction de trente-quatre contes. Klincksieck, 1975. pp. 6-9 (Analysis of type 313); pp. 15-17 (Analysis of type 425 in Persian sources)
  • Boulvin, Adrienne. Contes populaires persans de Khorassan Band 2: Trente-six contes, traduits par A. Boulvin et E. Chocourzadeh. C. Klincksieck, 1975. pp. 10-14 (Tale nr. 4, Le Sultan Serpent).

For Animal as Bridegroom and Yasmin and the Serpent Prince. There are two books by Adrienne Boulvin: the first is the Analysis, the second is the text of the tale.

In Band I, according to Ulrich Marzolph, Boulvin might have cited, in p. 16, a tale by Islamic poet Nizami Ganjavi, which may predate other modern variants.

  • Balabanlilar, , Lisa (2021). "The emperor Jahangir : power and kingship in mughal india". London: I.B. Tauris: 122, 123, 124. ISBN 978-1-83860-045-7. {{cite journal}}: Cite journal requires |journal= (help)CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link)

Once I could get Page number 122 in Google Books preview but preview was closed in later effort to read when actually I wanted to update the WP article. If some one gets page no 122, 123 in preview then such link to Google preview likely be enough or else pl do provide the requested pages itself.
