- This draft has been rejected and will not be considered further. Every source is unusable - the first two are non-sequiturs, the third 404s, and the last two seem to be SEO outlets. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 07:20, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]hi, what can i do to notify ACF review my submmsion in a faster way?
Zzz2497 (talk) 09:57, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Zzz2497 There is nothing you can do to speed the review process; reviews are conducted by volunteers in no particular order; it is not a queue. If you are associated with this topic, please review WP:COI and WP:PAID for information on required formal disclosures. If you are compensated in any way for your edits, or have any paid relationship with this subject, the Terms of Use require you to disclose that. 331dot (talk) 10:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
11:10:02, 13 December 2021 review of draft by IndependentQA
[edit]
Hi! My draft has been been rejected and I would like to understand how I could correct it. The rejection reason was as follows: "This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. Submissions should summarise information in secondary, reliable sources and not contain opinions or original research. Please write about the topic from a neutral point of view in an encyclopedic manner."
However, I was just describing what the organization does, using reliable sources and with a neutral tone, in line with what similar organizations - such as ISO - did on their Wikipedia page.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!

- IndependentQA I think you have some misunderstandings of what Wikipedia is. Articles (not "pages", a subtle but important distinction) are typically written by independent editors, not organization representatives. Those articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable organization. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization says about itself or in a mere description of what it does, but in what others completely unconnected with the subject choose on their own to say about it, not based on any materials put out by the subject.
- As you seem to be an organization representative, please read WP:COI and WP:PAID for information on required formal disclosures. 331dot (talk) 13:53, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]
Hurra04 (talk) 15:13, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Hi - I based this on other Wiki articles about voiceovers. Do you need all work references to be supported by news articles, rather than IMDb?Hurra04 (talk) 15:13, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yes. In fact, we need virtually every single sentence sourced when dealing with biography of a living person. See WP:BLP, WP:NACTOR, and WP:GNG. Right now the article lacks any in-depth coverage of the subject by an independent reliable source. IMDB is NOT a reliable source. Slywriter (talk) 15:20, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Hi - I based the article on other voiceover actor articles eg https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Brian_Cummings, which has only one reference. Do I have to backup each claim with a newspaper article rather than an IMDB entry. A lot of the existing articles seem to have very little supporting info in them

My article has been rejected multiple times now. All of my citations are very reliable as they come from direct sources. My sources have been said to be unreliable even though they come from direct sources. Tallykeating (talk) 18:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Wikipedia requires independent sources, NOT primary ones like yours, and YouTube is rarely considered a suitable source. Theroadislong (talk) 18:30, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
