Hi @CarlosK108: If you need help, please ask a question as it is unclear what you need help with. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 08:00, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 01:09:23, 27 November 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by RoseCastle

[edit]

I submitted an article for Sandbanks Provincial Park in Newfoundland and it was rejected because the person who reviewed it did not realize the existing Sandbanks Provincial Park page is for a completely different provincial park in Ontario. They are not the same park and require different pages.

How do I get someone to sort this out? The article should not be rejected on these grounds as it is an error on the part of the reviewer.

RoseCastle (talk) 01:09, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @RoseCastle: just wanted to confirm, looking at the article history it looks like this has been resolved, correct? And nice job on the article - looks great. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 07:58, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

04:44:31, 27 November 2020 review of submission by Emediapro

[edit]

Emediapro (talk) 04:44, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Emediapro: First things first, please do not remove review templates, and do not resubmit the draft until you have made updates to the draft to resolve the reviewer's comments. In regards to your draft: Wikipedia article subjects need to be notable. What this means: Udit Bhanu needs to have received significant attention from multiple reliable and independent sources. It does not appear that there is enough coverage of Bhanu at this time to consider him notable for Wikipedia, and the article cannot be published. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 07:53, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

06:59:16, 27 November 2020 review of draft by Eb404

[edit]

I've created a draft page and I'm trying to add some WikiProject tags to it. So I'm going to this page (linked from the draft article): https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Add_WikiProject_tags?withJS=MediaWiki:AFC-add-project-tags.js&title=Draft:Null_Positiv Seeing the URL, I guess the name of the draft page should appear in the entry "Enter draft page title:", but it doesn't. And if I try to enter it manually, it doesn't appear in the choices. If I enter it anyway, it appears in red, which usually means there's something wrong. As you can see, the draft page name is "Null Positiv". Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Or should I just not care about the red and add tags anyway? Thanks! Eb404 (talk) 06:59, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Eb404: the input box expect's the draft's title including the "Draft:"-prefix, i.e. "Draft:Null Positiv", instead of "Null Positiv". I have also altered the instructions at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Add_WikiProject_tags to speficially mention this, since you are not the first one to fail for that reason. 11:36:33, 27 November 2020 review of submission by Reedocr

[edit]

This is my first submission and sadly it has been rejected. I have tried to follow all the rules and have clearly submitted my COI.

Can you please help me understand the issue?

Reedocr (talk) 11:36, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has essentially no interest in anything the company has to say about themselves. It is only interested in what people who have no connection with them have chosen to publish about them. The article should be limited to a summary of what such independent sources have said about them. Notability is judged by looking at the depth of coverage in independent, reliable, secondary sources. Nothing to indicate that it would pass Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Theroadislong (talk) 13:54, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey,

Hope all is well.

I submitted a page for revision a few months ago. I am wondering if everything is ok with it or I should edit something for it to be submitted.

Best Regards and Thank you in advance. ThiagoWinters (talk) 14:04, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This has been resubmitted on the 24th of September. Its likely that you recive an answer soon. Victor Schmidt (talk) 14:13, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I submitted this piece here but it was rejected. Could you assist in letting me know how I can improve this article or what changes I can make so that this article will be published?

16:30:18, 27 November 2020 review of draft by 82.3.185.12

[edit]

I created this page but I don't think it worked. I edited it and tried again and I still can't see it. It said the page is https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Justine_Tung but when I visit it I see nothing there. It is my first time creating a page and did I do something wrong? 82.3.185.12 (talk) 16:30, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have created the draft but it gives no indication as to what makes the person notable in Wikipedia terms, it also has no sources so would not be accepted if submitted. Theroadislong (talk) 16:33, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Can you help me? 82.3.185.12 (talk) 16:38, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did a google search, and it looks like this is a classic case of WP:TOOSOON. Only WP:UGC stuff, and a bunch of other runreliable sources. Long text, short meaning: Not notable yet. Maybe try something different. Note that no amount of editing can circumvent missing notability. Victor Schmidt (talk) 17:11, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what it says on WP:TOOSOON. All the information is correct and I can prove it all. Google Justine Tung and it will tell you she's (Redacted). That is 5 different sources. 82.3.185.12 (talk) 17:14, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
None of which are reliable or independent I'm afraid. Theroadislong (talk) 17:29, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What counts as reliable then? 82.3.185.12 (talk) 17:32, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
See reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 17:38, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree than one source on its own is unreliable, but I think if you combine all five, then that makes it reliable 82.3.185.12 (talk) 17:41, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
errr no...that just makes 5 unreliable sources? Theroadislong (talk) 17:55, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Combining all five doesn't make them reliable. Sources don't get more reliable if you aggregate them. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:41, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

16:49:54, 27 November 2020 review of submission by Musc-life

[edit]

I am trying to establish an article about Yara Bou Monsef, she is new in this field and there is no reliable written nor published resources about her yet. It is important to us to showcase her in your site, if possible. Musc-life (talk) 16:49, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Musc-life: I am afraid that if there are no published reliable sources right now, its WP:TOOSOON for an article on this topic. 17:00, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Really, a verified tick and 70k followers on Insta is quite a lot. 82.3.185.12 (talk) 17:28, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But still doesn't satisfy any of WP:V WP:BLP WP:NPERSON or WP:RS or WP:SELFPUB or WP:PRIMARY. You are welcome to attempt and change the rules, but I am afraid that would be trying to mine Bedrock with your fist. Victor Schmidt (talk) 17:36, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What does your schedule.

in re User:CarlosK108/sandbox Might I recommend editing the Wikipedia for your native language instead? —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:40, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
