[edit]

Hi Wikipedia helpers, I updated some of the references, can the helpers lighten me a little more on the notability issue please? what kind of sources would you consider reliable and independent? are Articles from Techcrunch, yahoo finance and business insider considered unsuitable? I have seen articles from other finance companies that use them such as venmo and BitPay, btw, the undisclosed template that was added to the article is not right because the former editor and me both have disclosed payment. Thanks. JamesRodir (talk) 22:27, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Wikipedia helpers, I have updated my Glomesh article page to feature link to significant coverage and also referenced old archives to prove it is part of Australia's fashion history. The draft is still pending review/publication and I was wondering if it will be actually be reviewed again or will it simply lapse and be deleted as it wasn't approved on the first submission? Thank you! Miss Abbey Jane

Miss Abbey Jane (talk) 00:55, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Abbey Jane Welcome to AfC help desk. I have just received your draft. However, it is not acceptable at the moment. We need more (at least another 3-4) sources from independent, reliable sources such as the one your provided - The Sydney Morning Herald. The other sources are from fashion magazines or interview which would considered not reliable/independent. Pls see the notability requirements for company -here - WP:NCORP. Thank you. Thanks so much for replying CASSIOPEIA! That is really helpful. There are no other references available at this time for the article so fair enough. I will have to wait until it becomes more mainstream. Appreciate you looking into it. Miss Abbey Jane (talk) 01:51, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Abbey Jane Try to find sources from 1958 to 1980 as well for we accept print sources. Do make a copy the current content to Notepad (not Words) for the draft will keep in Wikipedia system for the next 6 months before it is deleted.Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:07, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(talk) That is good to know about the print sources. I'll do some more tactile archive research and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip about Notepad too! Miss Abbey Jane (talk) 03:40, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for reviewing my first submission of the page. It is my first time and I apologize for all of the errors. I would like to create this page as I have heard Mark speak at numerous conferences from NY to MA to CT and read his articles in regard to Diversity and Leadership. I think he is a great advocate and would like to do create a wiki page for him so that others can be encouraged and inspired to do the same. Thank you so much.

Aleoanh073 (talk) 02:23, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aleoanh073: Your best bet is to try to find some coverage of the Curphy-Roellig Followership Model, to show that it is notable. If nobody has written about it, it's not considered notable, and that affects Mark Roellig's notability. TechnoTalk (talk) 20:42, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Will the page be re-reviewed?

Aleoanh073 (talk) 02:34, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aleoanh073: - the draft is certainly less "CV-like" than it was. However, it has no sources so has zero chance of making it through a review. After you've added sufficient sources, you can edit it and put {{subst:submit}} at the top to submit it. You can also ask here or the Teahouse and someone can do it for you. Administration, Being new on wikipedia I am not familiar with so many rules and regulations. first do consider this part. Secondly, my article Aryan Khan has been declined twice. First the reason was completely justified by the user who made the edit that i "didnt use the natural tone and used some peacock terminologies in the content and focused on khan's father more in the content". I made changes and published it again. Second time, the editor came up with a completely different reason. First she said that the resources used are not proper. I did made some changes. The secondly the complaint was for that the personality is non-notable. For this i put a tag of

at the top of the page. But still in my opinion the personality has enough sources to support its media presence. So for this reason it shouldn't be declined. Plus why not my first editor has informed me for this that the personality is non-notable. The page i have uploaded definately have enough sources in support. Then, as per my experience there are hundreds of pages that have absolutely weak sources to support but still the page exsit. I have tried my best and provided diverse range of references. Please note that the personality has media presence that is why i have came up with this much content. Kindly consider! This was my first article!! Please help!! I have made the chnages and improved it as much as i could. Kindly consider my submission one more time!! ♥

12:11:48, 2 September 2019 review of submission by SanatSawant

[edit]

I need a re-review because Sanat Sawant is a Famous Personality who is imitated by many people and they pretend to be him,so it's really important. SanatSawant (talk) 12:11, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 12:37, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, SanatSawant, please don't waste reviewers' time by posting multiple requests here for the same submission. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:36, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

14:43:18, 2 September 2019 review of draft by Orgaridums

[edit]

Hello, I am new here and I read about this singer and thought it would be nice to have an article about her. There is a long one in the Portuguese version but I am not sure how appropriate it is to translate and what would be the requirements for an article about a musician. I also don't understand how the info boxes work. It was already a challenge to get the rest to a state that to me seems to be working. Could someone please take a look and give some advice what is missing? Orgaridums (talk) 14:43, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Additional links were added to the references. Is this sufficient to show broader and historical coverage? Also, how do I include an image for the club flag (burgee)? Thanks. Wikicraigbez (talk) 15:08, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

17:11:18, 2 September 2019 review of draft by Zahmed555

[edit]

My submission is denied, saying that my article/submission is passing without substantiating it. How do I substantiate my article? Please suggest what needs to be done. I spent many hours coming up with my article/submission. I am not a Wikipedia coding expert. Please advise. Zahmed555 (talk) 17:11, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Zahmed555: Most critically, it needs sources that demonstrate notability. These must meet the requirements for basic biographical "notability (click the words for details on what they are.
It is also a biography, so references must be "inline" (the little blue numbers that tie refs to specific facts). See referencing for beginners to find out how to do that
It also reads more like a detailed CV, which is not how a biographical article should look like. Have a look at some other biographies to see some examples. Nosebagbear (talk) 22:32, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

21:54:35, 2 September 2019 review of submission by Tkefan29

[edit]

I believe that this article should be added to Wikipedia, as it contains information about a growing grocery store chain. In my opinion this is important enough to be included.

Tkefan29 (talk) 21:54, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tkefan29: - the fact that it's growing is irrelevant as to whether it's notable. Companies have to face a high requirement for notability, which means good sourcing. The sources present generally fall afoul of either: non-independent (the publisher has a reason to be biased either towards supermarkets in general or to Plum Market in specific) or fail to be sufficiently in-depth after all the direct and indirect quotes are removed.
Comparatively few food chains of this size have received enough coverage to warrant an article. If it continues to grow it may get sufficient coverage in the future to then warrant a full article. Nosebagbear (talk) 22:36, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
