Why doesn't the spelling for volumne come up as an older spelling of the word volume. I know the word exists.

Because, despite your certainty, volumne is not a valid word. A clue is that it does not appear. Fiddle Faddle 10:40, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I'm a new comer in Wikipedia. I have spent a lot of time to read how to create an article on wikipedia. And then I created an article about information to explore Hanoi city on one day. However, after I saved and submited my article for reviewer, I received a message "I noticed your article was declined at Articles for Creation, and that can be disappointing". I still do not understand clearly what Articles for Creation is and the specific problems in my article. Hope to receive your answer soon, so that I can submit my article successfully. Thank you. Becki.dang (talk) 09:10, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Becki.dang: you still managed to submit User:Becki.dang/sandbox/My great trip exploring the Northern Vietnam, so must have a nodding understanding of the process. What you have been told is that your travelogue is not suitable for Wikipedia. It could well be suitable for your own blog or facebook. Fiddle Faddle 10:38, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The page that i posted was rejected saying I am soap boxing, It was disappointing as I posted an article on what my organization actually does. I really want to create a page on wikipedia, please help me do so by correcting me where i went wrong. It will be really kind of you to consider my reuest.

@Sadaficbm: But we do not want to know about your organisation from you. You need to understand that Wikipedia is not for promoting yourself. If this is a notable organisation others will write about it. Fiddle Faddle 10:35, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning Wikipedia,

My page is being denied due to copyright infringement. However, my page information is from shaylablack.com (who the article is about). The cited copyright infringement states that it was copyrighted from this page: http://www.kobobook.net/author/4022.html. Kobo Book actually has their information from the same source, with our permission. Another point to note, I wrote the shaylablack.com information and am in no way infringing on her copyrights. I realize that is not something you all could know.

To fix this, do I need to reword the biography information only? Is there anything else in what I submitted that needs to be changed to fit your criteria? Please let me know so I can make the changes as soon as possible.

Thank you so much, Miranda Kirkland

MirandaKirkland (talk) 12:42, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shaylablack.com says "Copyright © 2015 Shayla Black". Since Wikipedia cannot legally use copyrighted text without an appropriate license, we cannot accept the text that appears there. If you wrote the information on shaylablack you could follow the instructions at WP:Donating copyrighted material to release it in such a way that Wikipedia can use it, however you still may run into issues. The problem is that official websites are designed for promotion, while Wikipedia is designed for education. Therefore, most text written for official websites is supposed to promote the subject of the website (in this case Shayla Black), and is therefore written in a tone that isn't acceptable on Wikipedia. You'd be much better off writing the page from scratch, using your own words, and maintaining a neutral point of view and encyclopedic tone. --Ahecht (TALK

My draft article on “Regression Therapy” was declined with a suggestion that it be included in an existing article on “Past Life Regression” for the following reasons;

“I'm sorry, but these two subjects still seem very similar to me. One is "a technique that uses hypnosis to recover what practitioners believe are memories of past lives or incarnations", while the other "uses a range of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy techniques but differs by putting more focus on regression and working with transpersonal experiences to transform them". I don't see any substantial difference in definition here, your post notwithstanding. The only difference seems to be the willingness of practitioners to treat memories as a metaphor.”

My response is;

Regression Therapy is a well established professional therapeutic approach drawing on many healing modularity’s; age regression, inner child regression, body therapy, transpersonal experiences, and if stories emerge from a client that appear to be past lives they are dealt with as healing metaphors.

Past Life Regression is a controversial subject with no professional standards and open to different religious and cultural views and as such the article is subject to changes and disputes. Not an area I wish to enter or I think Regression Therapy deserves to be parked in. It could be suggested that regression therapy could equally be added to articles on Inner Child Regression, Body Memories, Hypnosis or Age Regression.

So why a new article on Regression Therapy?

Well Regression Therapy has been developed over the last hundred years and has had a single international standard since 2006. It is practiced by medical doctors and psychiatrists, and hundreds of therapists around the world. I'm new to writing Wikipedia articles and have put in a great amount of effort to this point. I hope I have written it to Wikipedia notability and verification standards and followed the new article guidelines.

I’d like help from a fresh pair of eyes to review the article and move it forward.

I am not sure as to the reason for the decline of the article, all observations by editors before the last one has been addressed.The article is of general interest to mariners and there are is no page on this topic on wikipedia. Request a review of the decision to decline accepting the article.

I replied to this slightly further up this page, where you posted the same text earlier today. Initial feedback is that you should read Wikipedia:MEDRS carefully. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 14:33, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! One very strong 3rd party review source for this article is behind a login as the information is for paying users only. I have access to it and would like to reference it, but I want to double check if that was against Wikipedia's guidelines.

Thanks for the help!

Hi there - sources behind a paywall are fine to use. A source needs to be published, but doesn't necessarily have to be easily accessible. See WP:PAYWALL. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 16:53, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
