October 10, 2022 - The Tagalog Wikiquote and the Central Bikol Wikiquote were officially activated. January 12, 2021 – At 12:50 AM PhST (16:50 UTC January 11), the Bikol Wiktionary was officially activated. It was approved as a new Wiktionary language edition by the Wikimedia Board of Trustees and the Language Committee on December 16, 2020. January 6, 2021 – The Tagalog Wikipedia went back to less than 60,000 articles after almost 8 years. This is due to the removal of articles with only one sentence or with very little information that were not expanded for a very long time. December 5, 2019 – The Tagalog Wikipedia has exceeded 76,000 articles. December 28, 2016 – The Ilocano Wikipedia reached 10,000 articles. February 14, 2016 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 2,000,000 articles with the creation of Leopold Island. October 17, 2015 – Philippine Wikimedia Community User group (PH-WC) was created. July 16, 2014 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 1,000,000 articles with the creation of Silene capitata. July 7, 2014 – The Bikol Wikipedia reached 6,000 articles with the creation of Xu Caihou. June 8, 2014 – The Waray Wikipedia reached 1,000,000 articles with the creation of Spiraea splendens. July 17, 2013 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 500,000 articles with the creation of Platyneurus baliolus. July 17, 2013 – The Waray Wikipedia reached 500,000 articles with the creation of Ballana arcuata. March 20, 2013 – The Waray Wikipedia reached 300,000 articles. March 17, 2013 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 300,000 articles. March 1, 2013 – The Waray Wikipedia reached 2 million edits. February 16, 2013 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 200,000 articles with the creation of Cicinnurus regius. February 4, 2013 – The Tagalog Wikipedia reached 60,000 articles with the creation of Lalaking Vitruvio. February 2, 2013 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 100,000 articles with the creation of Spongosorites cavernicola. January 21, 2013 – The Cebuano Wikipedia reached 50,000 articles with the creation of Discinisca.
