Filipino Wikipedians have held twenty-seven (27) meetups so far in the Metro Manila area.

Summary of previous meetups

  • Manila 1 - held on May 20, 2007 in Kenny Rogers Roasters and Starbucks inside SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. Primarily discussed were the Articles of Incorporation of Wikimedia Philippines and some details of the Bylaws.
  • Manila 2 - held on Septemper 2, 2007 in Marina Restaurant at the CCP Complex, Pasay City, Metro Manila. This also served as a dialogue with the WikiPilipinas people.
  • Manila 3 - held on October 21, 2007 in Starbucks in The Podium, Ortigas, Pasig City (near SM Megamall). This served as a dialogue with Tin Mandigma of Read or Die Philippines about her organization's success and how it would apply to Wikimedia Philippines.
  • Manila 4 - held on July 19, 2008 in Figaro and Super Bowl of China in SM Mall of Asia. It was supposed to be called as First Wikipedia Tambayan Gimik, but it turned out to be an actual meetup between English, Tagalog and Kapampangan Wikipedia contributors.
  • Manila 5 - held on September 19, 2009 in Burger King at SM Mall of Asia. The principal agenda was the revision of the Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws. The status of the other Philippine Wikimedia projects (Wikibooks, Wikiquotes) was also discussed.
  • Manila 6 - held at four different venues at four different dates. The objective of this meetup is to formalize the incorporation of Wikimedia Philippines as a non-profit, non-stock corporation. 6A on March 28, 2010 at Coffee Bean, Robinson's Place Manila (Ermita, Manila); 6B on March 29, 2010 at Teriyaki Boy, Robinsons Galleria (Ortigas, Quezon City); 6C on March 29, 2010 at Jollibee Kalentong (Kalentong, San Juan City) and 6D on March 30, 2010 at Starbucks Metrowalk (Ortigas, Pasig City)
  • Manila 7 - held on May 1, 2010 at the Starbucks, Megastrip Slot #2, Upper Ground Floor, Building A, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This was a pre-launch event of Wikimedia Philippines. Wikimedia Philippines was duly recognized by the international community on March 12, 2010 and was incorporated on April 12, 2010. The official delegates to the Wikimedia Conference in Berlin, Germany reported their achievements to the organization. Pasalubongs were given out.
  • Manila 8 - held on May 15, 2010 at the Bulwagang Manileño, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, City of Manila, Metro Manila. This is also known as the First Annual Convention of Wikimedia Philippines and the event serves as a soft-launch for the non-profit organization.
  • Manila 9 - held at the UCCP Shalom Center, Malate, City of Manila, Metro Manila, last June 19, 2010 (Saturday) from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This was the First Quarterly meeting Wikimedia Philippines as stated on its By-laws.
  • September 15-16, 2023 Meetup - held at Cioccolata Churros Cafe, Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros and the National Museums of the Philippines.[1] The meetup was part of the first-ever GLAM Philippines outreach activities attended by PhilWiki Community members and invited participants composed of teachers, and culture and Wiki Loves photo contests participants.[2][3][4]
  • Manila 20 - held on October 29, 2023 at the Casino Español de Manila in Ermita, Manila. It was followed by a GLAM photowalk at the Philippine National Museum of Natural History. It started on 1:00 PM and ended on 06:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic community based in Metro Manila, Philippines. Discussions include the Consultation for the Wikimedia Movement Charter in the Philippines, state of the Freedom of Panorama in the Philippines, cultural heritage initiatives, etc.
  • Manila 21 - held on November 19, 2023 in Intramuros, Manila. The meeting venue was Cioccolata Churros Cafe at the Bayleaf Hotel. It was then followed by GLAM photowalk in Baluarte de Dilao, Museo San Agustin in San Agustin Church, and Fort Santiago. It started on 1:00 PM and ended on 06:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic community based in Metro Manila, Philippines. Discussions include the Consultation for the Wikimedia Movement Charter in the Philippines, state of the Freedom of Panorama in the Philippines, Philippine language-based Wikipedia projects, etc.
  • Manila 22 - held on April 07, 2024 at the Casino Español de Manila in Ermita, Manila. It started at 12:00 PM and ended at 03:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. Discussions include the Appointment of Trustees from 2024 to 2025, Consultation for the Wikimedia Movement Charter in the Philippines, state of the Freedom of Panorama in the Philippines, etc.
  • Manila 23 - held on May 26, 2024 in Makati City, Metro Manila. It started at 12:00 PM and ended at 05:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. The event started with a lunch at 12:00 PM at Olive Garden in Glorietta 4 Mall, Makati City. The GLAM-Wiki event was a museum visit at Ayala Museum, Makati City. The PPC Board also met and share stories with Senior Museum Curator (Head of Conservation) Kenneth Esguerra which presented "Unraveling the AIA Philippines Art Collection" as part of the Curator's Tour in Ayala Museum, Makati City. Lastly, PPC Board Meeting was held at Mango Tree Cafe in Greenbelt 3 Mall, Makati City.
  • Manila 24 - held on June 30, 2024 in Casino Español de Manila and National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila City. It started at 12:00 PM and ended at 06:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. The event started with a lunch at 12:00 PM at Casino Español de Manila in Ermita, Manila City. The GLAM-Wiki Event was a museum visit at National Museum of Fine Arts in Ermita, Manila City. The attendees visited art galleries which houses collection of paintings and sculptures by notable Filipino artists. Lastly, the meeting of PPC Regular Members was held at Casino Español de Manila from 05:00 to 06:00 PM.
  • Manila 25 - held on August 04, 2024 in The Bayleaf Hotel (Intramuros) and National Museum of Anthropology in Manila City. It started at 12:00 PM and ended at 06:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. The event started with a lunch at 12:00 PM at The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila City. The GLAM-Wiki Event was a museum visit at National Museum of Anthropology in Manila City. The attendees visited all of the ethnological and archaeological galleries of the museum. After a snack which started at 4:30 PM at the Starbucks General Luna in Intramuros, Manila City, the meet-up concluded at 06:00 PM.
  • Manila 26 - held on August 15, 2024 in the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Library and The Aristocrat Restaurant in Manila City. It started at 10:30 AM and ended at 03:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. The event started with a snacks at 10:30 AM at Starbucks General Luna in Intramuros, Manila City. The GLAM-Wiki Event was a library visit at National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Library. The visit happened from 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM. The attendees met and share stories with Ms. Jelomy Domingo (NCCA Librarian) and Ms. Delia Peregrina (NCCA Planning Officer II). The Philippine Panorama Project consulted cultural heritage references like the Philippine Church Facades and the Philippine Heritage Architecture for its intentional visit and data gathering objectives. After the library visit, there is a lunch from 01:00 to 03:00 PM at The Aristocrat Restaurant, which is a key figure in the Filipino food heritage, in Malate, Manila City. The meet-up concluded at 03:00 PM.
  • Manila 27 - held on September 28, 2024 as a Cultural Heritage Cruise of the Pasig River. It started at 11:15 AM and ended at 05:00 PM. The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community which is a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines. The event aims to document the Pasig River from the landmarks within its vicinity up to the awareness of its potential for tourism.
