"Imagine that a featured article (FA) represents a finished article, one that does not need any further editing (this, of course, is not true, but a featured article is the closest thing Wikipedia has to a "finished" article)." Nothing on Wikipedia is finished or perfect. RichardOwen97 talk 15:35, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Reply + Suggestion: Yes, you are right, Wikipedia is a work in progress, but the "perfection" here is not Wikipedia, but a Featured Article (or FA-class articles). I think that FAs conform to the "Law of Conservation of Energy" ("nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.") Excluding a few very rare cases, it's very difficult that a FA will lost its FA status because other editors who are involved in that article will not permit it. So, the article is transformed and changed, but its "energy", the FA status, will not be lost, and it remains "perfect". Anyway, what about using: "Wikipedia:The perfect article" (shortcuts: WP:TPA/WP:PERFECT) instead of "Wikipedia:Featured articles" for "Perfection"? –pjoef (talk • contribs) 09:26, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
