The portal was promoted by Cirt 04:49, 26 October 2012 [1].
This portal was previously featured but has since been delisted. I've given it a complete rewrite and formatting. It includes the following:
- 20 selected articles
- 20 selected biographies
- 20 sets of three did you know hooks (60 DYKs total)
- 20 selected pictures
- An in this month section with five blurbs per month (60 blurbs total)
- An automatically-updated ITN section
I've had a bit of help from Br'er Rabbit with the formatting, as I'm a dolt with templates. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 04:43, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comments:
- Quite a few of the selected articles are below GA class. I would recommend that all selected articles be at least GA class or better.
- Some of the selected biographies are also below GA. As with the selected articles, I would recommend that all of them be at least GA class. Dough4872 22:49, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the comments. Regarding the the class of article, several (Anggun, Sudirman, Fakih Usman, and Ganting Grand Mosque) are at GAC right now and are pretty much shoo-ins. I'll replace Chairil, Kassian, Krakatoa, Dutch East Indies, and the May 1998 riots.23:25, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- All replaced with FAs, GAs, or current GACs. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:14, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Support - I will support this assuming to GANs will become GAs. If not, they need to be replaced. Dough4872 00:31, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks! That's the plan. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:32, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- You said you have 20 selected pictures, yet there's only 17. Also, for this picture, please also give credit to the government for owning the building's copyright because freedom of panorama is a bit tricky in this country. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:43, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Fixed both. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:30, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: Selected article David Jacobs (Indonesian athlete) was just promoted to GA. That leaves four GACs out of 40 selected articles/biographies — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:41, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Ganting Grand Mosque has been promoted, leaving three GACs out of 40 selected articles/biographies. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:13, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Sudirman has been promoted, leaving two GACs of 40 selected articles/biographies. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:07, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Some dablinks fixed. Portal:Indonesia/Selected biography/16 needs updating to reflect his activity at the Paralympics. BencherliteTalk 13:40, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Updated, will go through with the dablinks tool later. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:57, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- All remaining dabs removed. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:29, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Update - Fakih Usman has been promoted to GA, leaving Anggun as the only current GAC in this portal. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:38, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Update - Anggun has passed. All articles now GA or higher. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:49, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment' - One of the featured portal criteria (5) is links to other WMF projects. On Portal:Indonesia/Wikimedia, the links to Wikinews, WikiCommons and Wikisource all work, but the links to Wikibooks and Wikiquote go to blank category pages. Wikibooks should be easy to fix, as there is plenty of useful Wikibooks projects, albeit not very mature content. I looked at the wikibooks link on Portal:Australia/Wikimedia, and it is also broken. I would delete the Wikiquote link, but I hate Wikiquote so I might be biased. ;-) John Vandenberg (chat) 02:22, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Removed both, as neither has a page about the country. Books has a page on Indonesian language and Indonesian recipes, but nothing about the country. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:36, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support good work, can't find anything else to raise as issues. BencherliteTalk 10:16, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
