2020 local electoral calendar moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2020 local electoral calendar, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Mbochi
[edit]Hello,
The Kouyou, Moye, Bobangui(…)are not Mbochi sub-groups. It is an abuse of language to classify them as Mbochi sub-groups. The people of the North are called Bangala because their lingua franca is Lingala. These peoples are also politically called Mbochi by some Congolese but they are not all Mbochi sub-groups. Bobangi, Kouyou are not variants of the Mbochi language. Somebody040404 (talk) 17:54, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- I am not disputing this but you just can't go and change something that is supported by credible sources without providing ones that support your changes. Zoocat56 (talk) 18:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Hello,
The Bobangi, Moye or Kouyou are not Mbochi sub-groups. It is an abuse of language to classify them as Mbochi sub-groups. The term Mbochi is just used to group these peoples together because they are related but not all of them are Mbochi. In the Congo Kinshasa Bobangi are just Bobangi. - Having put in a lot of work in that article I will challenge what I think are on the whole non-constructive edits (see next section). Rest assured I do not think that I own the article. In regards to your original edit I want to remind you about WP:MINOR and WP:FIES. Thank you. Zoocat56 (talk) 19:21, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
Unnecessary edit
[edit]Hi Zoocat56. I believe that after more than 15 years and more than 20 thousand edits across a number of languages I have a pretty good idea of what to do around here and it would be highly unlikely that I would engage in unnecessary edits. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 06:23, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Gabriel. I am sorry if my reversion and edit summary offended you. My first instinct was Why try to fix what isn't broken? On closer examination of your edit I see some merit to what you have done and will do some changes of my own in the next few days. I would like to know why you added the sentence about Kinshasa being the twenty-sixth province? Thank you. Zoocat56 (talk) 19:21, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi, if "administratively" it's not DRC, then what is it? You didn't remove the DRC stubcat, nor did you mark the article as incorrect. LadyofShalott 13:34, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- @LadyofShalott: No it's not a "city" in the administrative sense of the word used in the DR Congo. This is why I removed the article from the DRC cities category which seems to be about the administrative division. Looking into it there is a small community near the coordinates given which may sometimes be called "Kituku". I am thinking of rewriting the article to be about a "quartier" of the city of Kalemie called Kituku or requesting that the article be deleted. By the way how do you mark an entire article as incorrect? Zoocat56 (talk) 20:08, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- For the entire article, you could use Template:Disputed; for an individual statement, Template:Dubious. Those pages point to alternatives that might be suitable, depending on a given situation. LadyofShalott 12:15, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- BTW, another editor has put that category back. As long as the article says it is a city of the DRC, that is the obvious category. LadyofShalott 12:23, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
