User talk:Yuri Git
Hello, Yuri Git. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, A. Aksinin, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want A. Aksinin to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.
If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.
Thanks, Ushau97 (talk) 11:58, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the mistake. The article have now been removed from proposed deletion. But please add references to it . If you need any help see the help pages or ask at the Help desk. Sincerely.--Ushau97 (talk) 12:46, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Your move request
[edit]Hi, regarding your move request for Alexander Aksinin. You put your request on the wrong page, but no problem. This can be handled with a speedy technical request, rather than the more formal {{subst:requested move}}, which I have taken care of for you. The move should be completed soon. Pefect, many thanks! Yuri Git (talk) 20:05, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Artist Alexander Aksinin 1980.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Artist Alexander Aksinin 1980.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 21:20, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Eeekster,
I've just received a mail from Alexei Iutin with his OK to use the picture. The mail will be forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Removing Tags: Request to Wbm1058
[edit]Hello Wbm1058, thanks for making the tags less annoying. Hope it would be possible to remove them at all. Could you please indicate - more specifically - what exactly is problematic and requre further improvement. Or, alternatively, if the current version is good enough, please just delete the tags. I'd appreciate your help.
Best, Yuri Git (talk) 20:26, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi Wbm1058, I'd appreciate your feedback, in order to finalize the article and remove the really annoying tags.

Non-free rationale for File:Artist Alexander Aksinin Lvov 1985.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Artist Alexander Aksinin Lvov 1985.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:32, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi Stan00, actually I use another picture in my article, so this one is of no need. It can be just deleted.

Image without license
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:Artist Myroslav Yagoda 2006.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Artist Myroslav Yagoda 2006.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}}
(to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 09:46, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks MifterBot, the license has been added. --Yuri Git (talk) 11:07, 8 February 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git

Thanks JJMC89, indeed the copyright holder is already sending the required permission letter. So, as you recommended, I've added {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page. Best--Yuri Git (talk) 21:40, 8 February 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git
JJMC89, the copyright holder has sent his permission today. Please remove the tag "This file is missing evidence of permission". Many thanks, --Yuri Git (talk) 10:52, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git
Speedy deletion nomination of Myroslav Yagoda
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Myroslav Yagoda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- φ OnePt618Talk φ 03:51, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks OnePt618. Actually, Fabrictramp has already nicely addressed your concerns and removed the tag. Just to add that the National Art Museum of Ukraine (that is the #1 art stage in Ukraine) is opening a solo exhibition of M. Yagoda next week. I guess that this is a good enough indication of significance/importance of this artist. --Yuri Git (talk) 20:14, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git

[edit]Hello, I'm ThatMontrealIP. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Alexander Aksinin. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please stop adding external links to the article. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 16:09, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
- Also, could you please clarify if you know or are working for Myroslav Yahoda or Alexander Aksinin? The editing you have done looks promotional.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 17:27, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Yuri Git. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Per your disclosure here. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 22:22, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
- A search outside Wikipedia shows you have a strong COI with these artists. You therefore need to stop editing their Wikipedia pages as you are not a neutral editor.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 23:20, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hello ThatMontrealIP. First, I really appreciate your time and efforts.
- It is a great pity that my tidy efforts (certainly not related to any commercial interests or employment) to honor the memory of the untimely departed artists - whom I was lucky to know - are interpreted as COI. My only interest is to preserve the memory of them and to assure presenting reliable facts about their lives and art. If Wiki policies exclude such a possibility, I could understand that as the general approach, but I cannot consider it appropriate in this particular case… It would be helpful to use common sense, as suggested in WP:COI: How close the relationship needs to be before it becomes a concern on Wikipedia is governed by common sense.
- If you do not mind, in the end I would like to correct some inaccurate facts and fix the marked broken links. Best --Yuri Git (talk) 10:15, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git
- Please be aware that Wikipedia is not a memorial site. If you think there are inaccuracies in an article, you can request changes to the article its talk pages.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 12:25, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm well aware. Please note that both artists satisfy the Wikipedia's notability requirements - their personal exhibitions in National Art Museum of Ukraine clearly indicate their notability. Hence the not a memorial site limitations are not applicable. --Yuri Git (talk) 13:06, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Yuri Git
- You are really big on wasting time I see. Notability is not necessarily met by an exhibition in a national museum. It's clear you have been using Wikipedia for years as a memorial site, and hiding your conflict of interest for as many years.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 13:59, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
