[edit]

Hello, I'm Torreslfchero. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Orica-AIS, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Torreslfchero (talk) 16:38, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for turning Orica-AIS into a proper page instead of just a redirect to the men's team! Regards, Qwfp (talk) 21:16, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Caja Rural Major results edit

[edit]

I note that (for example) Euskaltel-Euskadi contains other podium places (i.e. 2nd and 3rd places) in their "Major results". Can you direct me to the WikiProject consensus or other rationale for not including these podium places in the Caja Rural article? I do accept that with a more established team only first placements in major events are appropriate to avoid an over abundance of data, but sadly this is not currently an issue for Caja Rural. Thanks, Transonic Crayon (talk) 10:46, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Katie Hall (cyclist) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only coverage is routine and trivial. Does not meet WP:GNG and fails WP:NCYCLING.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Anna-Bianca Schnitzmeier has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. j⚛e deckertalk 02:16, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your interest in Pfizer. Someone reverted a deletion you did. If you have a rationale for deleting this content then please post it on the talk page. It is always confusing to see people take time to delete what seems on its face to be good information, and for that reason, your changes were not accepted. Category:Cycling articles by importance

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for creating this category (and sub-cats). I've always wondered why the Cycling Project didn't have this already. I note on the 2015 UCI World Tour article that you added an importance category to the main article, but the talkpage is already tagged. However, the talkpage tags doesn't seem to work. I don't know if it's something you can fix. I know I've created hundreds of biography articles for Olympic cyclists, all tagged as low-importance, so they should all auto-populate the relevant category! Speedy deletion nomination of Abu Dhabi Tour

[edit]

Hello XyZAn,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Abu Dhabi Tour for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Fisheriesmgmt (talk) 23:45, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Baxalta

[edit]

Hi, I'm Sulfurboy. XyZAn, thanks for creating Baxalta!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Notability tag restored. As sourced it fails WP:CORP. A primary source and one website whose credibility is questionable and the articles read like veiled press releases. This would fail AfC 100% of the time. Issue can be discussed on talk page.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Sulfurboy (talk) 18:15, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About Vincenzo Nibali

[edit]

I noticed I hastily replied to the massage you left on Nibali's talk page. I had assumed that you were suggesting to seek a compromise before editing (I basically misread your message, my fault). However, you decided to restore the latest version of one of the parties involved, who had just cancelled my additions (and had been cancelling my additions for a while). This seems to me a biased position which favor one party. Could you please provide a reasonable explanation as to why the version you restored should be the starting point of discussion? [[User:|Messier8]] (talk) 22:33, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Messier8, with the content restoration I was merely restoring the content which was on the main page when I left my note. As far as I can see- going forwards it would be best to look at what content is in the latest revision of he article and discussing what to keep and what to get rid of. I haven't read the sources so I can't comment, I can do at a later date. If you cannot come to a compromise please also go to the wili project cycling talk page to find a consensus or discussion. XyZAn (talk) 06:43, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello XyZAn, thanks for your response. As you can see, since you restored the full version of one the interested parties, there is no need for that party to seek for a compromise on anything. Therefore, your action (which was supposed to help in a dispute) put basically an end to the dispute. In don't think this was your intention. Messier8 (talk) 14:11, 28 September 2015 (UTC) Cheers![reply]
Hi Messier8, yeah there was no intention on my part to sway the discussion either way, if there is a particular piece of text you don't feel is supported by the given citation. I have had a quick look back and the INRNG source (ref:http://inrng.com/2015/07/tour-stage-19-review/) does support the current passage, namely this specific sentence from the webpage: "Watching the replay you can see Nibali looking once, twice and then a third time at Froome before attacking only he said he didn’t see it on TV". If you can find a source to refute the claim that Nibali knew of Froome's problems then that would lend credence to your argument. Thanks XyZAn (talk) 16:19, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello XyZAn, thanks for the advice. I am now quoting from a BBC Sport article. Notice that the BBC article makes an obvious statement, whereas the INRNG article makes a claim that is unsupported. If I turn my had to the right, can you guess what I am looking at? Cheers! Messier8 (talk) 20:00, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi XyZAn. A quick question about the 2016 UCI World Tour article... I'd really like to work on a 2016 World Tour featured topic project (I got a fair way through last year's, but found I couldn't find the time in the off-season to go back and fill in all the gaps!). So this article will need to be either a good article or a featured list (not sure which yet). Could you help me with the sourcing for the table you added? Most of the information can come from articles like this one, but not all of it. For example, where does the information about licence holders come from? Many thanks for your help. Relentlessly (talk) 15:11, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Relentlessly as for the licence holders i'm not sure, I didn't add them to the previous version of the table, I guess mine in the 2016 article constitutes v3.
A quick google of the licence holders has given the following (which ties the team to the licence holder):
You might need to do something like that for each one? Or try and find who added the table with the licence holders in originally. XyZAn (talk) 17:32, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The original version of this page was adequate, however completely changed with redundancies and lack of citations. The revision is similar to the previous page, but without as much information that wasn't sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bmedick (talkcontribs) 17:14, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Bmedick I've reordered the page and removed duplicate info and unnecessary headings XyZAn (talk) 17:16, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear user. As the creator of this page, please keep as is. The information included is adequate and up to date as of 2016. This is based on information from people who are actually employed at AbbVie. Thank you. Bmedick (talk) 23:22, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bmedick you're displaying poor wikipedian characteristics; as per WP Ownership, you do not "own" a page, as article creator you do not have any form of veto on content or the final say on what content can be/cannot be added. Further, if you believe information is based on that given from actual employees you need to disclose this WP COI - if you don't I will request a COI investigation. As for the page, I'll detail my reasoning for the changes:
  • There are unnecessary sub headings, a couple of lines of text does not warrant a subheading.
  • My edits move the page to a format more commonly shown in other Pharma company articles.
XyZAn (talk) 19:22, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have been writing for Wikipedia for 10 years and I am an administrator. I have not seen another pharma page with this format. I do not know why this page was changed in the first place. Accuracy is more important that standardization. There is no conflict of interest and if the page is not owned anyone can add information. My question is, other than other articles, trade publications, etc. what is your knowledge and association with this topic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bmedick (talkcontribs) 12:39, 11 February 2016‎ (UTC)[reply]

Pardon me Bmedick but you just wrote "I am an administrator." I have seen people get blocked for saying they are an administrator when they are not. Would you like to correct your statement? Jytdog (talk) 15:58, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bmedick, maybe you would like to go and look at Pfizer, AstraZeneca (or Jazz Pharmaceuticals for a smaller company). Do you see what i mean by 'formatting' only the most significant event are subheaded, in AbbVies case this would the Pharmacyclics acquisition. As for my knowledge and association with the topic, I need not explain myself to someone like yourself. As Jytdog may be able to confirm, I've had no previous alteracations regarding content on pharma pages, so maybe the issue lies with yourself? XyZAn (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi XyZAn. Can you explain this edit, please? I can't see the advantage of the direct image call against the template. Thanks. Relentlessly (talk) 18:40, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Relentlessly, I just changed it back to the normal image files, only it didn't really seem necessary to use those templates - we haven't used them in team/rider palmares, so IMO we didn't need them there.. XyZAn (talk) 17:34, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I'm sure we don't need them in palmares sections. I personally think they're a bit better, though, because they build alt-text in so are more accessible, and disable the unnecessary link. This is less the case in palmares sections than it is in results tables, because the text nearby fully explains it. Relentlessly (talk) 18:13, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in complete agreement with you regarding results tables, but I think it palmares section where they tend to be preceded by a descriptor like 'Points classification...' etc they're not needed. XyZAn (talk) 18:16, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bayer went through a reorganization at the start of this year. I started revising that article but b/c they do GMO-related stuff I should not do more. Just wanted to ping you on this in case you are interested in bringing the article into line with current reality. I have also let FeatherPluma know, who also does good editing on pharma/biotech company articles. I also created this historical artifact today: Aurora Biosciences if you want to improve it... Jytdog (talk) 00:36, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jytdog I've looked into Bayer and have made some modifications to bring it in line wth the new company structure, to be honest I didn't even know there'd been a restructuring! XyZAn (talk) 18:08, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Classifications

[edit]

Say if a user does not have a widescreen monitor (not that it includes myself in that equation), by imposing a colwidth of 50%, it reduces an already small screen to half of its equivalent, and may result in the two templates merging into one another. It differs from the results tables as those are not set colwidths. Just my two cents – I may be proven wrong – but I feel colwidthing causes more accessibility issues than it doesn't, even though it may aesthetically improve the article if in the same line... Craig(talk) 18:02, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cs-wolves, would the template merge or would they not just go 'long and thin'? I cant imagine that the tables would merge over the top of each other graphically. It does just seem like a huge waste of space on both the Mens WT and Womens WT article. Surely there's something we can do....? XyZAn (talk) 18:06, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, I may be completely wrong. I've had a look of the tables in your most recent revision on my phone and it looks decent. It doesn't look as bad as I first imagined, but I still don't think it's the right option. We can't compare the two World Tour articles, as the Women have two individual classifications and the men have the nations classification. As well as this, if we have images of the classification leaders, if we keep the colwidths it'll cause issues. I hadn't introduced the images yet as I did not know if any of the women had images up yet. I have now noticed Armitstead's photo from OHN, so I was going to introduce that. I'd imagine there could be some improvement, but on the other hand, we don't want to upset the appearance too much that it alters the shape of the page and make it difficult for screen readers/tools to read page or for the smaller resolution screens. Craig(talk) 18:28, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide us with

…a published example where the use of cladograms is presented as a validated (expertly explained and justified) graphical way of representing company acquisitions. Such diagrams are intended to convey information in their vertical and horizontal graphical elements, and it is not clear how this approach is relevant to business acquisitions, or that this business historical information is easily captured in a clade diagram. For instance, if a company acquires two companies two years apart, and then a third four years later, are you capturing the time gaps in the design of the vertical elements? What relevant information is captured in the horizontal elements? Please give us the basis for use of this graphic method most often applied to phylogenetics, to business settings. Regardless of whether this approach can be justified, it can never be justified as a means of skirting the WP:VERIFY expectations. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 23:53, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asking for examples of cladograms is both inappropriate and unnecessary. Do your own homework, leprof. They are useful graphical representations for many kinds of things and XyZan is doing great work providing them. Everything does need to be sourced, at least in the accompanying article content and ideally in cladogram itself. yes, absolutely. Jytdog (talk) 00:07, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your opinion is noted, but the question stands. (I have no need of homework; I understand this is a generally applicable maths/graphic form. It is because I worked with an expert in phylogenetics in my early training that I am suspicious.) There is serious question as to the utility of the images, and the questions asked are rigorous and correct—how do clade diagrams capture business historical information in their vertical and horizon graphical elements? This is an obvious question to anyone trained either with clade diagrams, or more generally in Tufte-type rigor in graphic presentation. Please, if you cannot contribute constructively, in honest questions of process, do not interfere. This is his contribution. He can explain it without your help. He is not a defenseless child. Do not treat him as one. Otherwise, thank you for concurring on the need for citations. Leprof 7272 (talk) 00:30, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, your opinion is way out there all by itself. If you cannot see the utility, that is too bad. Every other editor who watches these articles has been fine with it. Don't ask someone else to provide a reference for something only you are questioning - that is actually one of the hallmarks of WP:TENDENTIOUS editing. Jytdog (talk) 00:54, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your opinion is noted, but the question stands. I can provide sources as to the rigour of my opinion, can you, Jyt? Moreover, you argue fallaciously—that the crowd is always right, and never to be challenged. Unbelievable. I cannot believe I am hearing this from you. If one has to be tendentious when correct, then take me forward. Meanwhile, since you seem determined to impose your strong view between myself and XyZAn, and so alter the direction of the discussion, I will do what I must to get a hearing for my view. The stats and phylogeny folks, the real experts in these matters, can express themselves. I very much doubt my view will be "all by itself" in the end. Meanwhile, XyZAn is learning nothing from your paternalistic defense. Cheers. Leprof 7272 (talk) 01:18, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

XyZAn, please provide your response here. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 01:24, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's not personal, between you and Xyzan, and your posting here in this legalistic way just makes it that way. If you want to open a discussion on these, please do it at the article talk page where others can join, or if the concern is across several articles, please open a discussion someplace like wikiproject companies. Please return to the Shire page

[edit]

reFill only does a "first draft" of a citation fill. One must return and finish the job manually. Consistent formatting for citations is the aim, and it means that every citation of an article has an author, title, date of publication, etc., as far as possible. You added twenty citations today—the job is not complete, to WP guideline standards, until the formats are complete and consistent.

Here is an example of a complete citation format useful for most of the citations you added: [1]

  1. ^ "Shire buys US drugs delivery firm for pounds 105m" (online news article). The Independent (UK). 1997-02-26. Retrieved 22 March 2016. {{cite web}}: Unknown parameter |authors= ignored (help)

So I ask you, please, return to the Shire article and finish the job of providing complete references for the following citations, which you edited, but which diminish the quality of the article by not yet being consistent in formatting quality. (This is like dirty laundry, best not left for others to do for you.) The citations made poor, or not yet complete, are:

  • [1], [15], [32] – [52].

In the stretch of 21 new references, please note the following:

  • references [36], [45], [48], and [49] are bare URLs, and if reFill does not work, a reFill citation for another source should be copied, and edited manually to make the citation complete;
  • references [33], [35], [37], [38], [40], [43], [44], [47], [51], and [52] are missing important citation elements of future use, if the URL fails: one or more of the following—author, date, title, full publication name, access date.

Please return and complete these citations, to the best possible quality. You move the article in the wrong direction, away from being a WP good article, by putting in citations that are among the worst in the article. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 00:34, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It turns out I was mistaken. I assumed you bore responsibility for the medium quality citations, 23 in number, that appeared today at the Shire article. It turns out you just pasted in bare URLs, and then these were fixed by a bot. All the more, I repeat the request above—that the 23 citations you added today be improved, to be among the best in the article, and not the worst. At present, with 6 exposed URLs, and 10 missing key information, they have moved the article away from being a good article. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 01:28, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This is just crazy, Le Prof, all this bolding and personalizing of simple content stuff. Just WP:FIXIT and if you like leave a note asking for XyZan to improve their ref formatting. zoiks. Jytdog (talk) 01:58, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing at all personal here, just a description of how work done thus far does not meet normal WP standards. It is addressed to this individual because it is he that is doing the work. If anything, it should be seen as less embarrassing to address matters here, than at the article Talk page. I utterly reject that this is personal (except, perhaps, on the part of editors that delete other editor's Talk entries). Leprof 7272 (talk) 18:12, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Leprof 7272 My citation method will remain using refill, either point me in the direction of an auto-fill method which "completes" the reference, or I'll continue to use refill. WP:FIXIT XyZAn (talk) 17:42, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
First, I again thank you for taking serious the need to source the information in your cladogram-like images. This is important. Then, please understand, there is no tool that fully converts a URL to a standard acceptable citation. If you need to see this, see this diff of my populating the citations at the Wikiproject Companies discussion of your work (and look at that Edt summary). You see that after essentially after every use of reFill, one has to go in manually, and finish the work. In short, it is understood by everyone here that uses reFill, that it (i) does not work on all URLs, and (ii) only presents a draft (incomplete product), and that its users are encouraged if not expected to complete their drafted themselves. If you have any further question, have a look at the way an esteemed editor converts a bare URL. It is always apply, and them manually edit. DYK for Mechanical doping

[edit]

On 14 May 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mechanical doping, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a cyclist was caught mechanical doping after an electric motor was found in her bike, 6 years after the first allegations emerged? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mechanical doping. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mechanical doping), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

HI Seacactus 13 I used to use photoshop, but since having a mac I use an app called Photoscape X - i try and find an image of the current/past NC to see what they look like, but in most cases with non-European NCs there aren't any. In that case I have a saved copy of the white jersey image, then super impose the nations flag over the top - 9/10 that's the NC jersey. XyZAn (talk) 18:18, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Seattle Genetics

[edit]

The article Seattle Genetics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Entirely sourced to press releases and routine newsletters by the company and its affiliates.

Seattle Genetics

[edit]

Hi XyZAn,

I see you removed the PROD from your own article without addressing the issue I brought up. Since you believe that Seattle Genetics is independently notable, could you please link to some independent, non-routine coverage? I'm having trouble finding any since there's some major WP:REFBOMB going on in this article, and GNews is overwhelmed by automatically-generated stock reports. Surely there's more out there than just an exhaustive list of stock events? -Jergling (talk) 16:52, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I make an update of Module:Cycling race. This is only a local copy of d:Module:Cycling race that is shared at this day on 24 Wikipedias. Sometimes, an improvement is done but not again viewable here, it is because all is done on the original and after I make updates thanks to a copy paste. On the page of the programm, you have all the informations of Wikidata Cycling, especially the documentation. Molarus, the user with we work, will left Wikipedia from the 19th december and for two weeks. I just explain him the problem with cities that have the region or the country just after a comma, where on other Wikipedias we use brackets.

The page is Template:Cycling race/infobox. I invit you to make different tries on articles about cycling races thanks to preview, without saving changes. You have a documentation. You can take the code from other Wikipedias, not just FR Wiki. I am interested if you can make tests on different cases, specific cases, and also with old races. When you detect a problem, I need you describe it on this talk page, and I will list it. When a function is reviewed, we discuss with another. Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Hello, XyZAn. When you moved Movistar Team to a new title and then changed the old title into a disambiguation page, you may not have been aware of WP:FIXDABLINKS, which says:

When creating disambiguation pages, fix all resulting mis-directed links.
Before moving an article to a qualified name (in order to create a disambiguation page at the base name, to move an existing disambiguation page to that name, or to redirect that name to a disambiguation page), click on What links here to find all of the incoming links. Repair all of those incoming links to use the new article name.

It would be a great help if you would check the other Wikipedia articles that contain links to "Movistar Team" and fix them to take readers to the correct article. Thanks. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 22:12, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for creating the disambiguation page Team Illuminate. Are you able to help out with fixing the resulting mis-directed links? We've found 138 of them so far. Valverde results list vs. article subsection

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you extracted the palmares of Alejandro Valverde and turned them into a separate listicle. I have not contributed extensively to the Valverde article, but I don't think this is necessarily a good approach to take. In fact, I think it is inappropriate to remove such a large and relevant set of data from a biography that could eventually become a good article. By comparison, observe how the results are treated in the LeMond BLP, where minor results aren't included (comparative example would be "6th Vuelta a La Rioja" in Valverde's palmares). I wanted to reach out to you directly and check in about this, since I noted there is very little substantive discussion about the article on Valverde's talk page. Perhaps condensing the results to include only top-3 placings in one-day races and top-5 or top-10 in GC would be a better approach to a results section in the BLP, whilst keeping a full listicle with all valverde's results? Azx2 17:05, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Azx2, please see WT:CYC for the discussion around this, due to the size of the palmares this makes sense and is keeping with Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan. It is also easily accessible with the direct link in the article. Minor results in Le Monds article arent as detailed do to lack of available information. Ceers XyZAn (talk) 17:12, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I will look at the discussion. I guess the better question that I should have asked is what is or will be the criteria for "good articles" in Wikiproject cycling with respect to results: complete extraction of results from the good article candidate and creation of a listicle, or retention of at least major results as a subsection within the biography article? Is there any discussion of that that you could direct me to, so I'm not trying to remake the wheel? Cheers! Azx2 17:53, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting this would change rankings and changes to previous year for multiple companies in the table. You seem to be the primary author on this List, could you please check? Hi 155.250.198.38, thanks for that. I've updated the table with the Euro figures from the Merck Group annual reports (links/sources listed), converted at the yearly average EUR:USD rate. Let me know if you need anything else, cheers XyZAn (talk) 19:35, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply Raj vijay shah, I totally understand where you are coming from, and your right that a major part of the deal was to reduce their tax bill, but the company is now Irish-registered (hence the 'plc' suffix) and therefore it is now correct to only display the Irish flag as that is the current country of registration for the company. If it moved back to the USA at some point, then it would be correct to update their flag. Thanks XyZAn (talk) 08:40, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Colavita Bianchi logo.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Colavita Bianchi logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. [edit]

Hello, can you please add references to 2017 national cyclo-cross championships? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 13:03, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Acquisition history changes

[edit]

I see that you have made changes to the Acquisition history sections of a few pages including Bayer. Could you explain why your version is an improvement over the previous? Flattening the list removes information and reduces the usefulness of the table.Dialectric (talk) 15:22, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We've seen some issues with some of the older diagrams I built a few years ago where the 'leaves' to the right hand side of the table aren't rendering properly - something to do with exceeding the 'depth' of what the template will render. I've got archived copies of the diagrams that have been replaced so far so if the template is updated to allow for 'deeper' diagrams then they can be restored. The newer template will allow for larger diagrams (at least for now). The new one doesn't really remove any information, the same detail is included (it's actually easier to render the branches and leaves in the newer format). Bayer edit

[edit]

Dear XyZAn, you reverted my correction of "forbidden from ____ing" to "forbidden to ____" without giving a reason. I didn't make the change arbitrarily or ignorantly. "Forbid[den]" really should be followed by "to," not "from," just as "bid" is, no matter how often you may see journalists doing it wrong. I have extensive experience as a copy editor, and my change was in line with dictionaries and usage manuals. It's disconcerting to see an improvement undone. Improving the Johnson & Johnson Wikipedia Article

Hello XyZAn I noticed your contributions to the Johnson & Johnson Wikipedia article. I have a COI with Johnson & Johnson. Notice

The article Sagent Pharmaceuticals has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough independent sources to pass WP:NCORP. Based on concern from JohnFromPinckney

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
