Hello Wikarl23. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Divina Law, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Wikarl23. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wikarl23|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Worldbruce (talk) 06:50, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Worldbruce! I am currently not connected with any company, neither am I compensated, financially or otherwise, to write this or any article on Wikipedia. I have recently finished my law degree and am preparing for the Bar exams. Divina Law is one of the top law firms here in our country, and I wish to join them once I become a full-pledged lawyer. Also, its owner is one of my former professors. That is why the topic interests me and I decided to write about it. Thank you!
Thank you for explaining your uncommon situation. As a lawyer, I hope you can see that representing party A against party B while hoping to be hired by party B presents a conflict of interest. It isn't as bad as being in the pay of party B while representing party A, and probably isn't illegal. But it might be unethical, since there would be an incentive not to press party A's interests vigorously. When you write for Wikipedia, choose topics you aren't connected to outside of Wikipedia, ones where your only interest is the good of the encyclopedia. Avoid writing about friends from law school, organizations you hope to be employed by, areas of law you expect to practice in, judges you're likely to appear in front of, etc. Leaving those out, there will still be many topics related to law in the Philippines where you can leverage your legal knowledge to write articles, without any shadows of doubt about your objectively. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:56, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Denisarona. I noticed that you recently removed content from Nilo Divina without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nilo Divina, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.
