Speedy deletion of "Oliver Céleste"

[edit]

Oliver Céleste, a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular..

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. David.moreno72 (talk) 14:16, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Oliver Céleste has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to 55 (The Knocks album) has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 15:57, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page For All We Know (NAO album) has been reverted.
Your edit here to For All We Know (NAO album) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.clashmusic.com/news/nao-announces-debut-album-for-all-we-know) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Speedy deletion nomination of M+A

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on M+A requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ways to improve Kingdom (Gorgon City album)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Mz7. Whippyice will, thanks for creating Kingdom (Gorgon City album)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The next step should be to add more references to reliable sources. There is only one in the article and it appears now to be dead. Additionally, the article should be updated with new information if available.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Mz7 (talk) 04:54, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adding new albums to List of 2017 albums

[edit]

Hey, just wanting to let you know as I see you editing List of 2017 albums sometimes: If you have information about a new album, you can create the redirect for the album, because there are certain users who have added that page to their watchlist (me included), who create redirects for all new albums added to the page that don't yet have articles without particularly caring about the artist or album, they just want to be the first to do it. I've also seen that you sometimes create content over the redirects for some albums, so just letting you know, you can (and maybe should) create the redirect yourself in future (before later adding content). Producers for Zara Larrson in List of 2017 albums

[edit]

Hello, Whippyice will.

For the last several days, someone, probably you, keeps adding new producers to the Zara Larsson untitled album that is expected in January 2017 in the List of 2017 albums article. However, you do not provide a citation for the producers that you list, and the current citations do not support the producers that you list, so the speculative producers keep getting deleted. Today, you also added a tag at the end of the producer list that says "Do not change". Of course I deleted it, along with the unsupported producers, but now I am writing on your talk page to encourage you to provide support for the changes that you are insistent to be kept. At this point, the album does not have a name or a Wikipedia page, so news articles are required to support your listings.

Thank you. Mburrell (talk) 05:03, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Ralph (record producer)

[edit]

Hi, because of your note at the bottom of the page, I did not put a WP:BLPPROD tag on this article. Just as an FYI, all articles about living people must have at least one reference in them or else they can be nominated for deletion using the process I linked to above. The underconstruction template will give you some time, but someone will probably tag it if there is not a source in there soon. Once the tag is placed, it can be removed if there is a reliable source, but not otherwise. Just letting you know so you can fix the article :) TonyBallioni (talk) 17:53, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2017

[edit]

Hi there. Its come to my attention that you are repeatedly creating articles with no sources other than an iTunes link. This is not acceptable on Wikipedia. A core, crucial part of Wikipedia is using reliable sources to verify the content of articles. Retail or digital distribution links are not sufficient - we're talking about articles written by third party music journalists from websites listed at WP:MUSIC/SOURCES. Album reviews, previews, announcements, etc.

If you continue to create articles with nothing other than an iTunes/retail link, you will start receiving short blocks from editing. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 16:20, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm TheMagnificentist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Music Is the Weapon, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Please note that the verifiability policy mandates that unsourced material that has been challenged, such as by a "fact" tag, or by its removal, may not be added back without a reliable, published source being cited for the content, using an inline citation. The cited source must clearly support the material as presented in the article, and the burden is on the person wishing to keep in the disputed material. So if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so, following these requirements! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - TheMagnificentist 08:04, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Whippyice will. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Heat (The Knocks song), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

Your user page

[edit]

Can you please remove the wording you copied from my user page from your own? A user could assume that you are a sockpuppet or account of mine, and I'm pretty sure that violates some form of copyright that I hold over what I wrote on my own page. You didn't ask if you could copy it; you just did it, which is also quite rude. Ss112 21:55, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Since you've refused to explain yourself, I've chosen to remove the offending material from your user page myself. If you revert me, that's your choice, but then I will seek administrative attention. If permission is required, I do not give you permission to copy from my user page, even if you do ask after this as I don't know why I would when you've demonstrated that you are willing to copy without attribution. Even when using a site that has a free license, you still have to attribute where you copied said text from. Furthermore, surely you are capable of explaining what and how you edit without copying from other users. You are proficient in English, are you not? Therefore you can write a spiel out yourself. Proposed deletion of Francesco Yates (EP)

[edit]

The article Francesco Yates (EP) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG or WP:NALBUM

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 06:25, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't use josepvinaixa.com (aka "Ultimate Music") as a reference. It's an obscure blog with basically no real credibility that's quite often inaccurate. Snuggums (talk / edits) 12:22, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Control (Uppermost album)

[edit]

Hello, Whippyice will,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Control (Uppermost album) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Control (Uppermost album) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Request reason:

I believe that my reason for getting blocked, understandably, was using a lot of poorly referenced content. I also understand that this is the same reason of why i was getting blocked four times previously. I want you as administrators to understand that my block was a terrible mistake and you completely misjudge the situation. As you may have noticed, my referencing abilities are getting better and are improving. But it is up to you whether you think I should continue improving and learning from my mistakes or not. In addition, there is some content, not most, that does not require or is not seen with a reference. This can be seen with songwriting and production credits on track listings for albums. I believe that, if people were to edit stuff like that, should say if they have a reference or not and, if they do, it should be added to the edit. In summary, I wish to edit, but it is up to you guy to let me continue on improving my referencing abilities, and I still do wish to continue being apart of this flourishing community. Thank you!

Decline reason:

You changed information without providing a reference that your change is correct. That's a problem, no matter what type of content it is. How could our readers, or other editors, tell your change wasn't actually making the article worse by inserting falsehoods? If you haven't learned the importance of citing reliable sources yet, I don't think a further trial-and-error approach will be beneficial to the encyclopedia. Huon (talk) 16:45, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

As you may have noticed, my referencing abilities are getting better and are improving and I really do want to follow the rules which are put in place for the Wikipedia community to abide by in order to keep its articles safe and secure. I believe that I am now ready to abide by these rules and am, therefore, ready to by unblocked. I and a few others that are a part of this community believe that I have the potential to be a very helpful part of the this community, but it is up to you guys to make the decision to turn it down. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rationale (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rationale (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:10, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
