Stubs
[edit]Hi, thanks for creating the stub KRSX (AM). If possible please mark any articles which could have significantly more content added with a stub tag. It helps you and other users find articles that they can make significant edits to. There is a useful list of stubs at WP:WSS/ST. If you cannot find an appropriate one it is best to use {{stub}}. Thank you. Ksbrowntalk 10:20, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on The Pulse (radio station), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:The Pulse (radio station). Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 17:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on DJ Whammy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 17:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Helio Ocean.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Helio Ocean.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Unspecified source for Image:Helio hero.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Helio hero.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:42, 7 May 2007 (UTC). [edit]Fair use rationale for Image:Kgrg1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Kgrg1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 11:14, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Image:Pulse1330.gif
[edit]I have tagged Image:Pulse1330.gif as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. MER-C 11:18, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:Khtsam.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Khtsam.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Spam in Desert Vineyard
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Desert Vineyard, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Desert Vineyard is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Desert Vineyard, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. I'm going to attempt a bunch of page moves to keep the edit history with the frequencies per wiki radio project guidelines. When a station changes call letters (even if it's a frequency swap) the page should be "moved" to the new call sign. Don't panic if you see some cut and paste and unconventional moves going on, it can be tricky swapping pages but I've managed to do several frequency swaps now. Thanks.RobDe68 (talk) 04:50, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- No problem sir. I just wanted to make you aware in case you stumbled across the pages before I was done moving them. Don't worry about the copy/paste job, frequency swaps are usually complicated. It is best to keep the histories with the respective frequencies, especially in these smaller markets that seem to move formats around all the time. Keep up the good work. Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Trimulcast, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 04:02, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
About KSRY
[edit]Since you removed the (removed "former format is now at KSRY") on the KVVS page I removed the former format for KTPI on the KSRY page. --JoeCool950 (talk) 20:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
KSRY
[edit]Star 98.7 is actually Modern Rock, not Modern adult contemporary. That's why I had KSRY linked. I fixed it. Since that's the case, there's no need to link 105.5 to KSRY. KSRY (formerly KOSS/KTPI-FM) is a far change from Adult Contemporary, which is what "The Oasis" was. Since that's the case, we won't link them. Just thought I'd let you know about the format though what it is. --JoeCool950 (talk) 02:53, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
About KSRY Format
[edit]I saw where you were talking about KYSR being Modern AC, so I fixed it to that, which is how it will stay, because Modern AC and Modern Rock are basically the same thing. There's a link when you click on Mondern AC that links it to Modern Rock, so probably really didn't matter what it said. We'll leave it as Modern AC, since the station claims to be Modern AC. I double check though.--JoeCool950 (talk) 20:41, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
KSRY Format
[edit]I will keep up the good editing work. I noticed it on the KYSR page that it said Modern Rock. The confusion is what it says on the page about KYSR. That might need to be edited on KYSR. By any chance, do you know who Rtphokie is? Whoever it is took off the schedule I had on the KBKO-FM page. Don't know why. I'm going to watch that. --JoeCool950 (talk) 03:43, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
High Desert Radio
[edit]The High Desert Radio Template needs to be Death Valley also, to inlcude the radio stations for that area. All the ones that are for Victorville can stay off. Just wanted to let you know.--JoeCool950 (talk) 02:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
About High Desert Radio
[edit]Will you look into this, the reason why the template should be Death Valley/ High Desert Radio is because of these radio stations: KMQA, KCNQ, and KVLI-FM. Look into them and let me know if they should be on the Bakersfield Radio template. If so, I'll move them. I did take off the stations that were on the Victor Valley Radio template. Don't need them on both. Let me know about the stations that I mentioned, KMQA, KCNQ, KVLI-FM. Thanks. --JoeCool950 (talk) 04:57, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
About High Desert Radio
[edit]If you want to, that sound's good to me, especially if those stations you know of can't be heard in Death Valley. For those stations that mention that, it's kind of misleading, so if you can switch those stations you know of, that would be cool, and I'll see about the other radio station or stations.--JoeCool950 (talk) 04:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
I checked out the stations further that said Death Valley still, check them out. I went to where it says Query Arbitron's FM station database. It lists what the liscence area is for each station, I'm guessing. Check it out to see if they're right. They don't say Death Valley on none of them. I think Rtphokie just needs to leave those stations alone. If they're correct now, watch them to see if he changes them back. If he does, make note of them and let Rtphokie not to switch them, that they don't serve the Death Valley Area. It clearly says that on there. I've got your back on these stations, since I checked them out too. Rtphokie needs to do more researching on the Broadcast Area, before putting that on there. I agree that with what I looked up on Death Valley/ High Desert being High Desert / Eastern Sierra Radio.--JoeCool950 (talk) 04:50, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
About Template for High Desert Eastern Sierra
[edit]Whammy,
Let me know if you like the template. It's High Desert/ Eastern Sierra Radio. When you go to the template, it will say the name of them template being that, but for the area itself, so the viewers know which Sierra where talking about, it will say High Desert Sierra Nevada (US), since that's the mountain range we're referring too. I would add Eastern, but that would make it too confusing. I'm seeing if I can get Rtphokie to change the bottom part where it still says Death Valley/High Desert to High Desert/Eastern Sierra. Just check out the template and let me know if you like that. If you want to add Eastern into the area, you're more than welcome to, just let me know if you like that though. --JoeCool950 (talk) 00:45, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Template for High Desert Eastern Sierra
[edit]The template for
is all fixed up now. You can look at it and let me know what you think. Now that it no longer says Death Valley in it, no one had better switch that back, that includes me. I had Rtphokie correct the bottom part too. Wasn't sure how to do that, but he corrected that also. Respond back on my my talk and let me know what you think of the template now!!!! I looked into having all that done today. When you click on Eastern Sierra, there's a page that talks about the Sierra Nevadas, because that's the Eastern Sierras you're referring too. It makes more since having that be Eastern Sierra, since we're near the Sierra Nevada. Nowhere near Death Valley. Hopefully you like the template now. --JoeCool950 (talk) 02:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Question
[edit]Could you tell me who Lucasbfr is? He earlier put a block on my user page for a stupid user move I did that I did. If you look under my history, you can see what it was. Now, he put a protection on my User name for some reason, which is wrong. It says ([Protected User: JoeCool950 [move=sysop])or something like that. I haven't gotten a response from him. The protected thing that he put on it has it to where I can't rename my username, if I don't like the JoeCool950 one. Although, would you advise me using the Move button to change my user name, or Wikipedia: Change username? --JoeCool950 (talk) 07:08, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Question
[edit]Could you let me know if there's a way to take this off (Protected User:JoeCool950 [move=sysop]). Lucasbfr is probably affraid I'm going to move the page again. --JoeCool950 (talk) 06:08, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Protection
[edit]Yeah, the protection got taken care of. Just to note, the administrators if you change your username would whether you use Wikipedia: Changing username instead of moving the page yourself. The administrator that protected the page unprotected it, but since I know about Wikipedia: Changing username, if I think of a safer username, I'll go to that, although I'm chaning it back to it's original because the administrator mentioned, if he were me, it would be a smart idea to keep my real name low. I'll take his opinion, since you don't know what could go on, on the internet. --Joey Kaminski (talk) 19:10, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
KMQA
[edit]This station KMQA was on the High Desert Eastern Sierra page. I took it off and put it on the one for Visalia-Tulare. It made no since being on the High Desert Eastern Sierra page. The broadcast area was in Tulare. Hopefully I did the right thing taking that off. I was like Porterville is more like closer to Tulare than the High Desert. The High Desert Eastern Sierra page looks a lot better than it did and now makes more since. I'm glad I was able to get Rtphokie to change it for us. --JoeCool950 (talk) 03:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Dancefactory.jpg}
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Dancefactory.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image copyright problem with File:Kskull.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kskull.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:56, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. File permission problem with File:Kskull.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kskull.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.fullarmorradio.com/kskull.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Royalbroil 00:59, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
When you have a minute, check out KVVS and let me know if you agree with what I fixed it to for the branding of the station. It did say 105-5 KIISFM. But since it's a simulcast of KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, shouldn't it say KIIS-FM (simulcast) like the KSRY page? Hopefully you agree. I took off the slogan to "AV's #1 Hit Music Station." I kind of think 105.5 doesn't actually say 105-5 KIIS FM, that shouldn't say that where it says branding in the infobox, and should indicate taht KVVS is KIIS-FM simulcasted. If you though think it should say it the other way, then by all means, you can change it back, but if you agree with how I have it, then let me know. I did mention in the info box it's a simulcast right next to KIIS-FM. I think if we have like that, then the KIIS-FM logo for 102.7 can be up there. Just let me know what you think. Thanks.--JoeCool950 (talk) 08:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that looks good! Great job! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Whammy (talk) 19:04, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- I thought the way it was before was kind of misleading in making people think KVVS was still it's own station, when it's actually a simulcast like KSRY. Now I know when KVVS was at 97.7, they were at one point not simulcasted. If they decide to back as a local KIIS-FM, then we can change that when that happens, but probably won't. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving also.--JoeCool950 (talk) 01:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
I remember those days. I don't listen to KIIS FM anymore because I don't enjoy hip hop, but back in 2001 and before when they played good music I used to listen to 97.7 all the time. I remember the days with Chester The Arrester, Dan Sebastian and Jamie Lee. It was interesting, Dan Sebastian now works for Chase Bank and he called my house last month and I asked him "Did you used to work at 97.7 a long time ago?" and he started laughing hard and said "Yeah, that was me". I remember when I was about 8 or 9, I met Dan Sebastian in person and now 10 years later I got to speak to him again, it was pretty cool. But yeah, I seriously doubt that in this economy, they're just going to try and make money with as little effort as possible, I can't foresee them having any local jocks in the near future. That's probably why they scrapped Oasis, and with Clear Channel doing that illegal thing with 97.7's tower they now have a better signal in the AV. KTPI was the most popular station in the AV, and now 97.7 is stronger than 103.1, so that's probably why they moved it. If you're ever driving north on the 14 toward Mojave, look on the mountain to the left. You'll see 2 towers, the lighter colored one is 97.7 and the darker colored one is 103.9. You'll notice with 97.7's tower, their 2 bay antenna isn't on top of the pole at the top of the tower, instead they've moved it down onto the face of the dower to make it directional toward Lancaster, and doing it that way is illegal because it creates a null toward their city of license (Mojave). They probably got the idea from KFXM because they do the same thing, you'll see 96.7's 1 bay antenna off to the left on Northbound 14 just past Avenue A. It's on the face of the tower, making it directional. Whammy (talk) 02:32, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
