Disability and LGBTQ(+) Identities

[edit]

Hi there, thank you for your interest in improving the article on disability and LGBTQ+ individuals. I did notice you moved the page to the LGBTQ+ usage without discussion. Although I recognize this was in desire of being more inclusive, I have asked the move to be reverted, so the page aligns with the parent page LGBTQ. We actually moved LGBT to LGBTQ earlier this year, following a prolonged discussion - you can see Talk:LGBTQ if you're curious - as we decided LGBTQ was more commonly used than LGBT or other variants, such as LGBTQ+. If the article is moved back to its former name, I just wanted you to know it wasn't out of malice or exclusivity (I'm part of the + myself), but for the purposes of consistency. :)

I hope you will continue to work on this page (it really still could use a lot of fleshing out, especially for non-American/non-English-speaking locales) and other related pages! If you haven't already, you could check out/join WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies (yes, the WikiProject has a different name than the main LGBTQ article, you can see here for that discussion lol). It's a great forum to get help/opinions from other editors interested in LGBTQ+ topics :) ForsythiaJo (talk) 17:18, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
