COI request

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Turktimex3. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Turktimex3. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Turktimex3|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 04:17, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i see you and Turtle are having difficulty abiding by Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals; maybe you should stop reviewing articles, until you can demonstrate compliance with consensus policy. your righting great COI wrongs and suspension of Wikipedia:Assume good faith is problematic, and harms the wiki. --Turktimex3 (talk) 16:07, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond

[edit]

Hello Turktimex3. Could you please respond to the above request from Rosguill? Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 21:29, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i did "respond"; do you have a subpoena? are you going to stop vandalizing that article? --Turktimex3 (talk) 21:31, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No you have not answered their question regarding whether you have a COI to disclose. Please note that the snarky attitude is not helpful and you don't seem to understand what vandalism means. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 21:15, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
you have demonstrated an abject ignorance of notability. you are not here to write an encyclopedia, but delete one. I will be reverting your "un-constructive" edits as vandalism. do not interact with me. you have proven yourself not fit to copyedit my work. --Turktimex3 (talk) 15:19, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As you wish, I will no longer post here (unless required to for ANI notifications etc). I note that you never answered the question about the COI disclosure, and there are many issues with the latest reply. Farewell, MrsSnoozyTurtle 21:29, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Elisabetta Foradori. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

I highly suggest you pause the unverified image addition to articles

[edit]

Quite frankly, a lot of these are terrible. They are caricatures, which exaggerate the features of the subject and do not provide the reader with a faithful depiction. That has serious WP:BLP concerns. Then there's issues like File:Johanne Nielsdatter.jpg, where the caption says "An illustrated idea of Johanne Nielsdatter, whose actual appearance is undocumented". So, it is fabricated from the mind of the creator. Who is user "Fduriez" that uploaded it? Are they an expert in this field od study? Can you provide a reliable source that vouches for them? I'm duessing "no". There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:No_original_research/Noticeboard#Cartoon_portraits which you may wish to weigh in on. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Einat Ramon. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia:No_original_research/Noticeboard#Cartoon_portraits. A tag has been placed on File:Einat Ramon Universidad Hebraíca.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:Laurel Hubbard star observer.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.

Replaceable fair use File:Einat Ramon Universidad Hebraíca.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Einat Ramon Universidad Hebraíca.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:34, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Marie-Andrée Schwindenhammer

[edit]

Hello, Turktimex3,

Thank you for creating Marie-Andrée Schwindenhammer.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for creating the article! Please ensure all sources are reliable WP:RELY; https://theheroines.blogspot.com/2015/03/interview-with-karine-solene-espineira.html is a blog and should not be used to support notability. I would recommend looking into Transgender Experience: Place, Ethnicity, and Visibility. United Kingdom: Taylor & Francis, 2013 as a possible reference. Material included in the French page can also be used, as long as it properly attributed.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ppt91}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Orphaned non-free image File:Elisabeth Feller architonic.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Elisabeth Feller architonic.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:14, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If listed as a publication it does not need citations added to it, however other criteria must must be met per either listed above. 2600:8801:CA05:EF00:D41E:2828:7AA7:A58D (talk) 04:59, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Gaia Maris has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable athlete; no in-depth sourcing on her available online

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Why?
